I’ve worked min wage jobs and I’ve done the bare minimum and have still gotten the measly ten cent raises yearly and good references from them. There really is no point, bare minimum gets you by.

Well not a bad opinion I know for many it's a obstacle to cross but it only gets harder the more you want to add to your character's arsenal. For every skill you must have attained it if not in game then through prior experience. Even your weaponry must be attained. It's for a in depth look into your character that immerses you into the realm, I believe.

You're not going to have much luck here in the general interest check then. I've seen Advanced RPs with only a fraction of the info you've put up here, and half the CS sheet.

I would recommend going to the advanced interest check section if you want some interest. Again, it might seem weird, but less info on interest checks, the better. There is no way I can read through all that lore to decide if I'm interested or not, so it's pointless to add all of the info here. Just a synopsis, a pic or two, some description of the workings of the rp and good formatting is good enough.

I believe that a shortened CS was recommended, and I would recommend it too. Might sound bad, but most people aren't going to waste a day or two on a CS that massive. Again, ADVANCED rps, the ones people expect to devote a lot of time to, barely have a CS that long.

But it's your RP, take my advice with that in mind.
Cobalt tore into another Beowulf vertically with his axe, slicing it cleanly in two pieces. The rest of the Grimm were singlehandedly taken out by the female student, withering under her suppressive fire. He should have expected no less, she was of the fairer race after all. It was truly a sight to watch someone of such a short stature carry such an unwieldy weapon, and use it effectively as well. The Grimm began to retreat, unable to stand up to her assault, retreating back into the depths of the forest. After waiting a few moments to ensure none of the Beowolves decided to regroup and attack again, Cobalt turned to greet Kobi.

"I'm Cobalt. I have to say, I would not expect someone with a small frame to use such a massive weapon." The weapon seemed even more intimidating up close, truly Frankensteinish. The brutality of the broadsword had been combined with the efficiency of a machine gun. It was a relief Kobi was not a Faunus, otherwise; Cobalt would have a horrible time trying to off her. He then held out his hand, offering a handshake of friendship. "I was worried for a moment there would be no other humans around. Bloody Faunus can't be trusted to do a damn thing. Hopefully, if they came across one; both Kobi and Cobalt could use their combined firepower to assert human dominance.

@Tulpa
Maybe it's because I don't believe those deliberate smear campaigns and see how the media has basically used propaganda and false information to pretend gamergate is a "trolling campaign." I have yet to see ample evidence that the entirety of gamergate is a trollfest. Like any other movement it has it's bad apples, it's just that the media loves to bash on GG so...

Yeah. I don't see the point in calling GG a trolling campaign. By that logic, every website/movement is a trolling campaign because there are trolls?

I may as well call RPG a trollfest since that insensitive thread was made here. Hey, he was an RPG user right? Must mean RPG are all trolls.

@Sombrero

Harassing the user for posting something on the internet, while the thread was stupid, is hardly a good idea. It makes you no better than them. And if they're trolling, you're just feeding them by "harassing" them. I'd rather someone post a troll/offensive thread than harass someone. Harassing is highly malicious, and just because this user trolled or was misguided in posting that thread doesn't mean he needs people to start doxxing him or telling him he should die, etc.

Sorry, I usually don't post in these threads, but trying to see someone justify harassing one dude over a thread he made online, offensive or not, just rubbed off of me the wrong way.

Also Tulpa, I'd dispute the fact that GG conducts massive troll campaigns, but I guess this isn't the place for that.

That's fine, suku.

On the list of things that aren't fine, however:

"You've got the Déjà Vu thing going on right? Seems a bit easy to me. Déjà Vu your target when they're walking down the stairs or something. They'll probably fall in midstep. Worst case scenario, they break their leg. And even then, your job is done. Me, I gotta get more creative. Not like my power can do anything to someone else." It was true. Predicting horrible events was somewhat good, but hell if it kept someone in his house. Maybe if he pulled off some final destination shit it could work, but it would be too complex to do by himself. And what would be the point of using his power anyway then? He'd be setting up the "horrible events" and would know regardless. He doubted his target would be scared of a raccoon either, so that left him in a tough spot.

It seemed Tobias would have to do something violent. He wished to avoid this option, but it seemed like the only option at this point. Break in to the man's house, and then forcefully keep the man inside the home. But he'd decide later, preferably after breakfast. Before he could say anything further to Angel, Edward greeted them, seemingly avoiding Teryn and Daniel. Strange. If anything, Tobias would have thought Edward had little ill will towards the other two. Teryn was quiet, and Edward didn't reject the cakes Daniel brought.

Then again, he might have been reading too much into Edward's avoidance. Perhaps Edward was just awkward around those two. Tobias hadn't really talked much to Edward, but from what he saw, Edward was one of those nice, but socially awkward people. Tobias always wanted to ask why he followed Robert around like a dog, but he figured Edward was easily manipulated. Tobias had seen it all the time before. Someone charismatic or intimidating came along, and people were drawn to that someone like moths to a flame.

"Excuse me if I sound rude, but I'd rather not dwell on that topic any longer Edward. Not much to say but that it was weird."

"I always knew Grimbold was a strange one, but yeah. That was an new one." Tobias glanced around the Café, spotting Daniel, and returning his nod as Angel did. "I honestly have no idea what the hell the old man is doing anymore." Tobias found himself doubting whether he should really follow through on the task Grimbold gave him, but at this point it was too late to just turn around and pretend nothing happened. Not like he even had the money to move elsewhere. Besides, now Tobias wanted to find out what else Grimbold hadn't told them yet. If ended up being some creepy ass satanic cult shit where they offered their souls to the devil, he'd just call the cops and feign ignorance that he used to be a part of it.

Despite being the newbie, Tobias had to admit Angel was taking this pretty well. He'd expected some more shock, fear. Perhaps she was stronger than him at that aspect. If Tobias had seen what Grimbold had done on the first meeting, he'd probably just slowly back away and avoid the whole sacrifice to the blood god thing.

Tobias started to bite into a doughnut, savoring the sugary treat. Not a healthy breakfast in any way, but he figured he could spoil himself once in a while. "Anyway, Any idea how you're going to do what Grimbold asked of us?"
If only Ozpin had given them the students map of the forest before throwing them in there. As it stood now, Cobalt had no idea whether he was getting closer to the ruins or just aimlessly walking in circles. Perhaps that was sort of the point, to stimulate a real combat situation where one might not have any idea where they were, but dammit, in Cobalt's eyes, it was pretty much pointless difficulty. All he really knew was that the sun was above him, and that did fuck all to help him out.

Dredging through the thick brush of the forest, Cobalt stopped suddenly as he spotted a Beowolf pack just ahead of him. Cobalt readied his axe, preparing to strike down the Grimm just in case they spotted him. But before he could make a move, the Beowulf became aware of something else on one of the open paths, and diverted all of their attention to whoever had stepped onto their territory. The sounds of fighting became apparent, along with the fact that there was another student in the vicinity.

Cobalt peeked out from his hiding spot, trying to get a good look at the student facing down the Beowulf pack. The student was a human female with a massive blade/machine gun. Good. If she was a Faunus, Cobalt would have probably left her to face the pack alone, combat prowess be damned. He wasn't about to team up with Faunus anytime soon, no matter how good one was.

Gripping the Redeemer in it's shotgun form, he fired buckshot into two Beowolves that had attempted to flank the female student. "The cavalry has arrived!"

Tobias knew that their powers were the result of the occult, the arcane, as turning into an animal and having supernatural powers clearly was not the norm. Yes, last night's events should have been expected, but it seemed so surreal. Grimbold sacrificed a swan to someone.. or something. He tried not to dwell on the thought, but hell, this was the stuff of horror novels and movies. What could possibly be what he assumed was Grimbold's master? A bloodthirsty god? Unholy specters? Tobias hated to admit it, but he was a bit fearful of the truth.

Not that he was going to tell anyone anyway. If there was one thing he didn't need, it was Sloane finding out and giving him more shit than usual. Just the thought of it made Tobias cringe. The group was fine and all for small talk, but Tobias doubted giving the group personal information was the best idea. Tobias didn't quite trust any of them with anything significant either.

Damn, even when he was in that gang there wasn't much to worry about. Sure, there was the whole gang rivalry thing and cops beating you to a pulp trying to "arrest" you, but if you followed orders you'd be fine. The gang would have your back. Usually. That might also be the case with Grimbold as well, but when you added in black magic, Tobias wasn't so sure anymore. Perhaps if he crossed Grimbold one day, Tobias would be the one on the altar, being sacrificed up to whatever. But it was late and he needed the rest, so Tobias tried to dispel the thoughts from his mind and at least try and get some sleep.

He ended up getting very little sleep, his thoughts from last night preventing any sort of restful sleep. Tobias was used to it, as he woke up as early as 4 am to get to work, but the first few minutes of trying to get up was always a personal battle. Eventually, after using up every single drop of willpower, Tobias dragged himself out of the bed and then to the fridge, where he would whip up a breakfast of...

Nothing. Looks like Tobias would need to use his day off to hit the market to replenish his barren fridge. But first, he was going to get some breakfast at the Café. Luckily for his sleep and food deprived body, it wasn't much of a walk to reach the entrance. Quickly looking at his own reflection in the glass door, he made sure his hair was at least somewhat presentable.

Tobias eventually ordered some breakfast pastries and a cup of OJ. Tobias didn't really like Caffeine, and despite what anyone else said about it, he was pretty sure coffee was some sort of liquid narcotic. Why else would someone spend dozens of dollars buying that crap?

He had gotten his order, however; Tobias found his favorite spot taken. Well, not exactly taken, just that the table half occupied. Shame really, it was the only spot that you could eat your breakfast in some relative silence. But Tobias soon realized the person that had taken his spot was Angel, the newbie, so he took the opposite seat across from her. Looking at her breakfast, Tobias was no longer sure what invoked more fear into him, last night's events, or Angel's food choices. He opened his mouth, intending to make a remark on her diet, but in the end decided against it and decided to just greet her normally.

"Mornin Angel. I don't usually see you here."

Ozpin's task sounded simple enough, but Cobalt knew that it was probably much harder than the headmaster had let on. Most likely the forest would be teeming with Grimm, and the relics probably in the middle of their territory. The first unlucky batch of students were sent down unexpectedly, with a few screams here and there from the uninitiated. Hopefully he'd land nowhere near the Faunus students, Cobalt wouldn't be able to bear having to deal with their kind at the moment. Alas, the floor under him disappeared, starting his free fall into the forest. "So much for that bathroom break I suppose..." It seemed the ground was getting closer and closer, but Cobalt had little to actually break his fall. As the seconds passed, a rough landing became more and more of a reality.

Cobalt thought about using his weapon to try and slow his fall down by anchoring it into a tree, but as he actually came close to a tree he realized how stupid that idea was. There was really no way to anchor his weapon into the tree trunk without bodily harm to himself. Cobalt instead ended up smashing through several tree branches, and hit the ground hard. After a minute or two brushing off dirt and leaves, he walked off into a random direction, trying to look for any signs of the ruins.
