Name: Jeremy 'J' Winston

Powers: Animal shapeshifting respectively. J is a little stronger but nothing superhuman.

Weaknesses: Just as human as anybody wearing light body armor. Also has to be within a mile of his brother for his powers to work, in time this will fade.

Reason for joining Robin?: The twins had no place else to go. After their single father discovered they were hiding metahuman powers he 'seemingly' abandoned them in their apartment and within weeks the kids were evicted and on the streets. Still managing to get online Robin found them and offered them a place on his team.

Appearance: Will have micros as soon as photobucket stops being a dick or a find a new site to save pics on.

BRIEF Bio: The twins were first discovered at an orphanage as babies and soon after a man and his wife adopted them while they were still very young. Ten years into the Gotham family's lives had the twins losing the woman they'd called mother in a car wreck during a time when the Jokerz gang was really making a name for itself. Over the course of the next several years, their grieving father made it known he didn't care for the criminals in Gotham or the 'heroes' who hide behind masks trying to battle them. However several months ago, the twins' father Greg Winston, went out to pick up dinner and never returned home. It more than likely had something to do with him witnessing the kids using their new metahuman abilities days earlier. After only a few weeks the kids were evicted from the apartment. They were close enough to eighteen that nobody really cared if they were homeless or not.

That's when Matt McGinnis and his mother saw the twins defending themselves against a handful of Jokerz. Matt knew that those kids had nothing to lose and everything to gain. Days later the younger brother of Batman found the teens picking up an internet signal outside of a Pizza Play restaurant on electronic devices they hadn't yet pawned. A couple bags full of clothes and a few belongings were all they had to their names. Matt explained how he was the new Robin and was forming his own team of Titans, and the twins quickly agreed to join. Living in an abandoned 19th century arcade, they agreed to let it also serve as the base of operations for this new team who's first mission was to knock Batman himself down a peg.

Two weeks later when Matt McGinnis was killed the boys were back to square one. That was until Batman returned and said he was putting the team back together. He told the twins Matt was his brother, and how he had to do it to honor him. Both understood and helped Terry construct a bunker HQ under the old arcade. The twins moved downstairs into the HQ where one or two other teammates could also have a room there. Over the last four weeks, the eight times Batman had showed up for training were the highlights of the month. Each member of the team got new suits and in memory of Matt a statue was put up towards the entrance of Robin.

Notes:

* After the first arc the boys will get tired of being called Wonder Twins and stop dressing alike. Their powers will also begin to evolve [like Beast Boy to Animal Man and Poison Ivy to Swamp Thing].

* J and Z no longer attend school. They were both however juniors in high school when they dropped out, with Z excelling in academics and J being into more physical sports at Hamilton High. Matt McGinnis was a sophomore before being killed and Terry/Batman is currently in college.

* Only the members of the team who saw Matt more frequently at school [possibly any who were in his grade or in several classes with him] knew his identity but they were still unaware he had an older brother who was Batman. The twins now know his identity as well as Batman's since Terry opened up to them about Robin being his younger brother. His secret is safe with the twins.

* One of the twins will have a day job.

* Bruce Wayne is funding the team but also on the verge of dying. With Paxton Powers in jail the ownership of Wayne/Powers falls on the stockholders and Terry McGinnis' shoulders, as Bruce Wayne gave Terry his remaining shares of the company.

It always begins with a Robin. After discovering the truth about his lineage and who his older brother really was, Matt Mcginnis became the new Robin and soon set out to create his own Titans team like Robins of the past. However, it was for all of the wrong reasons. When approaching his older brother at his apartment, Matt showed Terry his new suit. Terry insisted his brother stayed out of the superheroics, claiming it took more than good DNA. The last words out of his mouth would seal his brother's fate... "It would take a team of five or six of you to even take me on and stand a chance..." So Matt had a plan now: to find other young wannabe heroes, preferably with metahuman powers or some strange DNA of their own, and to unite against common threats. The latest Robin would go on to recruit five other heroes and their first mission was to prove themselves to the current Batman. Matt had no chance of taking on his more experienced brother, but when the other young heroes joined the fight it was a little more even playing field. Terry still took them all down, it just wasn't as easy as he thought.

After meeting with his team on a few occasions both in and out of school, a dark time came in the form of the villain Inque. Paid by another enemy who knew the secret identity of Batman, she killed Matt McGinnis before his career had even really began. When Terry found his brother lying lifeless on the floor of the makeshift HQ in an old rundown late 19th century arcade he lost it. He lashed out at the young heroes as if it was their fault in some way. None of them were even around when Inque showed up....

Batman would go on to take down Inque as well as her employer, Paxton Powers... aka the son of Blight and current CEO of Wayne/Powers Industries. After Batman took a few days to cool his head, upon Bruce's request, Terry contacted the young heroes who made up his brother's team. To honor him, Terry took it upon himself to train these new Titans.

One month later, while serving a sentence at Iron Heights, Paxton seemingly got into an accident that left him with metahuman powers of his own. His first target... the pet project of Batman: the Titans.

GM Notes - 7/30/17 - No posts in the IC in over a week with nobody saying anything in the OOC for nearly a week as well. This one's dead in the water.

The Batman Beyond concept has always been a favorite of mine since the show debuted back when I was in high school. I loved the black and red suit, the futuristic backdrop, villains like Shriek and Spellbinder, and the Justice League Unlimited of the same future. This RP is intended to be tied to not just the cartoon series but the three comics volumes that were each different in their own unique ways. So you may think you know everything, but for this RP you don't know squat! Our first mission will have us going to war with Paxton Powers after he escapes prison. Did I say 'war'? Yeah... he'll have an army... but I'm not saying how. His new metahuman power will be revealed in-game and then it's no holds barred. From there we'll come into contact with a few rogue Splicers and what seems to be the returned leader of the Chimera Institute: Dr. Abel Cuvier.

My hope for this RP is for each arc to feel like two or three episodes of a cartoon series. Nothing too graphic, but still a dark PG-13 tone LOL. I'm shooting for the IC opener to be finished by Friday or early Saturday depending on my babysitter's schedule. Also, I might as well mention this now... *supposedly, fingers crossed* I'll be getting called back to work [at a recycling plant] after the 4th of July so my schedule may get hectic for a minute while I adjust to working again. Who's ready to start some form of discussion to get this OOC going?

Is everybody okay with the Wonder Twins having powers slightly altered? They're new interpretations, however we thought of them as new potential avatars of the Red [like Animal Man] and the Green [like Swamp Thing]. R2 and I should have our CS's finished soon, I promise!

And what about villains in the Beyond future? Who's your favorites? Who would you like to see reinterpreted?

There's only three silhouettes in my signature but I'm actually gonna accept four characters. Should have everything finished and posted between now and 9:30 am EST.

Gotham Knights - City On Fire

The behemoth of a dragon man hit the scene hard grabbing a Venom junkie and disappearing into the shadows only for a tree to fall several meters away. Jack was still using a combination of different fighting styles to take on two goons at a time before a third darted in and out of the action. Two other pushers, after seeing the one get snatched up, headed for an exit. The park itself was much like Central Park in New York City; large, with a small pond near the center, several statues, bridges, and benches. One bench of course got destroyed the minute Skeleton Jack did what looked like a professional wrestling move, a choke slam of sorts that took the muscle bound pusher down for the count.

"I wonder what Bats is up to...? Maybe that was HIM trying to tail me? There's no way he knows. I have to find the girls before the rest of the Muppets, even if I don't decide to help Al Ghul and the League." Jack thought, picking himself up after a few moments.

Looking over his left shoulder Jack was caught off guard from the right as one of the other goons had grabbed a piece of the metal bench debris and struck Jack in the head. He'd need more than an aluminum arm rest to finish the job. Jack pulled a blade from seemingly nowhere and with a spin lodged the blade into the junkie's thigh before he could land another strike with the arm rail. As the pusher tried slapping a few more patches on his arms it was obvious it was too much. Jack kept him at a distance with kicks and tripped the muscled brute a couple times and then... the guy's heart finally gave.

"Damn..." Jack thought standing there taking note of the situation. One of the remaining pushers had got up from the beating he'd already received and struck Skeleton Jack across the back with a steel mesh city trash can....

The two goons who ran earlier were nowhere to be seen. They'd either got away, or they were the next to face Kaze.

Elsewhere...

"The Bat has more friends than I had expected. Two storage sites have been compromised and a portion of the city just lost power..." Bane thought in a worn out looking locker room mirror at a sink.

He stepped out and walked to another corner of an old beat up gymnasium with a boxing ring in the center that had seen better days. With the touch of a button on the wall a panel opened up revealing stairs that he then walked down. There was the basement. The holding cells. He told the three goons in the basement level...

"Gotham wants me to come out and play. I may have to kill another one of Batman's acquaintances. Here's the top of the line stuff. Put it up your nose, eat it, whatever... just do it before the Superpower Hour gets here. Stick to the plan...." Bane instructed putting his mask on.

Or you could just jot a couple notes down in the Notes section if you feel it's that important. But shorter bios are a must when I've got... eleven CS's now total to go back over. It's why I rarely stray to Advanced unless I'm just really feeling it.

Maximum experience in the RP is 90 days, and a month of that's been with Batman, and at least two weeks before that was with Matt before he was killed. As far as BRIEF Bio, I know people can get passionate about a character and I get it. However for a Casual level RP no more than three paragraphs. I've got five other CS's to go over again before taking another look at yours if you wanna make those couple of edits. Other than that I really liked the character.

Nobody's come even close to guessing who the Prince's parent is. But I agree with what somebody said earlier, if you drop too much info in the iCheck and OOC then nobody really has a reason to take part and interest drops. If somebody guesses right I'll tell you but for now... yeah. You guys are pretty far of the base. I'll make it a little easier, it's somebody who's come into contact with the Teen Titans a few times as well as Batman... that *should* narrow it down.

Right now I'm going through every single CS I have in this thread as well as PMs. I had my eye on one or two already, however now there's a lot of really well done sheets and concepts.

The problem is that most of the superhero stuff that happens in comics or on screen make a significant impact on society and as such would be common knowledge. Operating in the Beyond time frame makes it easier because largely the rest of the DCU is about thirty years in the past but that still leaves the question how much of the DCAU and DCU happened and as such can be referenced in the RP.

You can use whatever you'd like for cannon until I say you can't. Simple as that. You could create a character. Or you could create a character and try to tie it to a major event like Zero Hour or Blackest Night. The less characters rely on bigger stories like that the better, but if you can change my mind then I'm open to giving you the chance. I try and be vague where I can so I can go back later and develop some backstory further in-game.

And for the record, Superman is still gonna be an older Clark Kent in this. I don't like the Super Son enough to even mention him LOL.

This isn't Terry as Batman with a decade of experience like in the Epilogue episode. This takes place within two years of Terry joining the JL. Terry is around 20-21 and living in his own apartment, while his brother Matt has been aged up to around 14-15.

This RP basically takes the best parts of the different versions of the Beyond universe. The first comic was based completely on the animated series. The second [Batman Beyond 2.0 and JL Beyond 2.0] aged everyone forward and Terry was in college. This universe was supposed to be more connected to the *then* mainstream DCU [before the New52 and Rebirth]. The third and current series started with a post apocalyptic future that had Terry go John Conner in the past during Futures End. He died there [five years from present day] and was replaced by the older Tim Drake. Since Rebirth Terry has returned and the series is back to taking more cues from the current comics. Superman is now the current son of Superman, Superboy/Jon Kent. That's why his look is so different.

But yeah, I'm gonna take bits from here and there and try to just make the most entertaining long term RP I possibly can.

@rocketrobie2 You would've just lost $$$ cause Aquaman already has a daughter in the JL Beyond. Like I said, it's gonna take a geek to figure it out. Just depends on how familar you guys are with the broader DCU.
