Slowly, Futility rises from the ashes. Very soon, I hope, we'll be able to wrap up this next round of scenes, but that's like 3-4 posts out at least. The hustle does not stop.

Abigail had to cease her bar stool spinning antics as people continued to pop in and out of existence around her. She hadn't been with the Deadly Eight long, so the antics of everyone switching in and out of one body definitely got her head spinning. The whole experience was almost a bit surreal to her, or perhaps that was just the vibe Jervis was going for with the jazzy, lounge-esque Deadly Room. Abigail set the targets' files down at this point. She never was too adept at the art of preplanning. The way she rolled, the only thing she prepared was plans to blow things up. Her logic worked much better under the threat of gunfire. Or at least, that's what Abigail thought. Maybe she was just lazy.

For a moment, Abigail intently watched Jervis as he spoke through the phone to Charlie. That phone definitely brought back halcyon memories of Abigail's first few months in the Deadly Room. Oh how fun it had been to toy with the assassins during their missions, and oh how sad she was when Jervis then disallowed her from further using the phone. That was definitely one detail that most of her comrades would have picked up about Abigail: She almost never took anything seriously around here. Life er-... Unlife was all a game to Abigail.

"Well that's an interesting choice..." Speaking to no one in particular, Abigail's eyes traced the vintage vehicle that Charlie chose. She had some experience with cars, but none at all with this sort. It was also probably worth mentioning that most of Abigail's experience with vehicles revolved around either destroying them, using them to destroy other things, or getaway driving. Abigail definitely had a... unique skill set. "It looks like it couldn't even breach fifty miles an hour. Let's hope nothing goes wrong during the mission... Our escape might crumble to dust when we need it." The girl gave a short chuckle continuing to watch, though as Charlie switched places with Randy, Abigail's demeanor seemed to change near instantaneously. A smile crossed her face, her eyes came alight with a certain glow of excitement, and her posture perked up to make her look more presentable.

"Ah Charlie! Welcome back! Perfect execution of an escape as usual, and not to mention the lovely choice of vehicle. My compliments to your contribution as always!" Her voice was soft, almost baby-ish. Abigail was always so allured by the young assassin's delicate and charming appearance. Of course, Abigail completely disregarded any sort of flaws she saw in Charlie. He was too perfect for those. She continued her shower of praise for a moment longer whether Charlie was listening or not. This had no doubt become a common occurrence, happening nearly every conversation Abigail had with Charlie ever since she was brought to the Deadly Room.

@Bishop
Love the flashback you added. I might have to steal that idea for one of my posts. You've crafted yourself a very unique character, friend.
I'm around! I was waiting for another active post, so it seems I should get a post up soon. I'll see what I can do!

Spinning the bar stool in circles, an excited Abigail was soon filled with complete disappointment as she heard the crash of glass. Upon completing her spin, she realized it was Jonathan that was the next up. Her sad eyes flicked down to meet the small puddle surrounded by shards of glass. Her excitement began to die down and she rested her chin on her hands, imagining all the fun times she could have had if Jonathan gave her her drink before she left. It was truly a tragedy. Abigail let out a light "Aww," before redirecting her attention to the rather large display that played Jonathon’s perspective. If she couldn't drink, watching some awe-striking combat would definitely supply a bit of entertainment.

Jonathan's duel did not captivate Abigail's interest for long, though. Her eyes flicked to Nick as he appeared in the Deadly Room. "Well that must have been a fun time. The important thing is that you tried," she jested. With few words, Abigail graciously accepted her drink from Jervis. "Looking perfect as always, dear butler friend." Swirling and admiring her drink for a moment, Abigail began to casually sip at it as she was handed the dossier file. A giggly chuckle escape her lips as she eyed the entry for one 'Marina Corvin'. Abigail's finger gently traced down the paper as she took in all she could about the individual. "Well well... They don't seem to tough. I've got some ideas for this little lady." It seems Abigail's fixation with the one girl in particular had caused her to zone out from the current conversation going on about the dossier files. She had been completely oblivious to the comments of Raissa and William in favor of her own imaginative assassination methods.

As Jonathan poofed back into the Deadly Room, he caught Abigail's attention for a short moment. As he laid down upon the counter, Abigail gave nothing more then a "Hmph," in acknowledgement. She knew he wasn't able to do anything about getting switched in and not getting her drink, but she felt like being difficult either way. After a quick shake of her head to clear her thoughts, Abigail attempted to refocus on the matter at hand: the new mission. "And as always. Call me in when something needs destroyed!" Her upbeat tone, left her words rather hollow sounding despite their meaning.

I don't know why I've done half the things I've done,but I know this is where I belong, surrounded by my own. Criminals, The Condemned, The Depressed... The Assholes.

Abbey found herself idling at the Deadly Room's bar rather than interacting with her fellow assassins. It wasn't all that uncommon for her to distract herself with conversation and annoying the others, but today she felt a bit different. Quietly sipping her beverage and flipping casually through the scriptures contained in her bible, her eyes wandered around the rather fancy looking room, which greatly contrasted with her dress that day. She found herself wearing black from head to toe-- hood up and everything. It was her insurgent outfit. It never bothered her. She always felt out of place no matter the condition, but then again, with the people she had become surrounded with, was she really the oddball?

Unable to hold back a scowl, Abbey soon matched the thudding of Raissa's cards with the quick snapping shut of her book. She held herself back from saying anything, but Abbey couldn't help but stifle a chuckle as her attention was drawn to the argument between Raissa and Jonathan.She had nothing to contribute to such a petty issue. If anything she would start speaking and end up bringing up another biblical story to everyone's dismay. Abbey remained silent during the whole bout. Well, at least until she witnessed Jonathan attempting to hop over the counter. Through cringing as he shattered numerous glasses, Abbey shifted herself over a seat or two until she was close enough to engage in the conversation. Gazing into her glass, she realized how close it was to emptiness. This was no issue, of course. In a jolly manner, she rose her hand slightly.

"Yes please!" Her voice was sing-songy as she sent Jonathan a smile. Sliding her glass his way.

@Dynamo Frokane
Yes! I'll be on it soon. My internet has been down all day, but I am back, and I will write something up!
Still around, and ready for action!
@Dynamo Frokane
Let's keep this alive, friend!
@Hexaflexagon
Haha. I completely understand where you are coming from. I tried to get the feel in that she wasn't the best at what she does, but I felt pretty rushed. I will definitely get to tweaking!
