Anyway, so the current course of action would be to come up with a core Zeon unit that'll oppose us for the game, yeah? Would there be four pilots there? And what is the purpose of their opposing us? What is the goal of our ship beyond 'fight Zeon'. Say, do we need to get to the Big Zam factory and stop the mass-production while these guys try and stop us?
That's actually what I was about to bring up. We need an actual plot. So far we have the concept of a group of 3 MS pilots and one supporting MA pilot, with miscellaneous fodder appearing just for the rule of cool. But why are these two groups involved directly? Are we chasing them after the Battle at Jaburo? Or are we attempting to search and destroy something, and they find us instead. It's kind of in the air, and I don't want to make the decision considering I'm not the GM.
@Zarkun Yeah, I did, I'm just going by the logic of physically weakening a Pokemon before to make sure the capture works. Did I forget to put the Pokeball in my CS?
@Krayzikk Whoops, I totally missed the Gelgoog Jaeger in the first post. And that's what I thought with the Big Rang, too. Oggos are great cannon fodder- they're just oddly shaped Balls. Honestly, we can get to specifics as we need to with these guys. It'd be kind of cool to have surprises coming up through the campaign.
Name: Adam Shoji Age: 22 Starting Location: Adriana City Rank: Beginner Organization:
Appearance:
Biography: Adam was raised in the lower-middle class of Adriana City- his family earning enough to get by with some amenities, but not overly so. His father was an auto mechanic by trade, and his mother working at the same shop doing all of the paper work. It wasn't too much, but it was enough. Living in the lower level of the city, Adam didn't really interact too much with those in the upper echelon of society, though a nicer vehicle did come through the shop once in a while.
As a child, Adam would constantly be playing with the wild and stray Pokemon living in the area, Pichu, Poliwhirl, and other species that happened to thrive in a human-dominated environment. With his parents' work, Adam felt a bias forming toward electric-types, with their abilities to help around the shop and surrounding areas. At 18, Adam enrolled in a trade school, earning his certification to follow in his father's footsteps in under three years. After another year of work, he had saved up enough money to be free from his home- to go chase his dream of exploring the world.
Personality: Adam is overall a rather carefree individual. Or so he likes to think he is. The young man is a little snide on the outside, sarcasm ready to start up at any second. He likes to poke fun at people, not hoping to offend or make someone hyperaware of something, just lighthearted joking. He learns pretty quickly about that kind of stuff- he knows what not to say around who, and exactly what to say around others. That said, if someone got on his bad side, that'd flip back pretty quickly- he'd know what to say to thoroughly rustle some jimmies.
Adam has a decent ability to make plans for himself, however, these are quite susceptible to random changes, somewhat on an impulse. Chasing that Metang for 2 weeks? Or going to go chase that Magnemite? Which one is more likely to succeed quicker? That's what really controls those decisions: time, effort, and likeliness to be a victory for Team Shoji.
@Krayzikk Just looked up the Brawrello. I'm in love. Its just so dumb. But, the Big Rang makes more sense, and y'know, it doesn't look like that. Suit wise, maybe a heavily modified Gelgoog, considering one is as strong as the OG Gundam looking at specs alone. Maybe some kind of Gouf? An upgraded Gyan, like the Gyan Eos? There are so many cool Zeon suits.
@Krayzikk Just look at Naze's crew in IBO, something'll work out. They can't all be gunning for Naze, right? Back to the main topic, so we should have 3 mobile suit aces and one in something along the lines of a mobile armor for support, just to keep things even. But mobile armors are kind of overpowered in this point in the series, seeing Big Zam and such.
@Plank Sinatra I like you. Dungeon Dice Monster, Bakugan, you remind me of me. Nerd.
@Krayzikk That sounds great. I immediately realized I had just bitten off more than I could chew, so your help would be greatly appreciated. This was about to turn into a play-by-post strategy game for me.
EDIT: Did you just say Bakugan? Jesus, that's a name I haven't heard in years.
@Deadlyrose9641 Petition to rename the RP to The Adventures of Captain Quincy and his Space-faring Harem.
@Krayzikk Honestly, this seems like the best course of action. Considering Quincy won't really be seeing much combat, maybe I can control the main four Zeon aces in combat posts? That way we can keep them as steady characters and I can still write some sweet, sweet mobile suit action.
