Hnnng, alright. Zeon time. Considering that we've decided that we're not going to be interacting with the canon characters from the show, we should probably be fighting against some division in the Zeon ranks, like the equivalent of the Titans, or something. Maybe to launch a counter-attack in response to Jaburo, however, along the way the ship is ambushed by remnants of some Zeon forces after the main battle? I'm not sure, I'm just throwing conjecture. I'm gonna be away from my computer for a minute, so I'll follow up more tonight if you guys don't think of anything.

We could simply create a new elite unit within Zoom, a la Cyclops team. Give them their own ace, some tweaked versions of classic Zeon suits, and a buffer of mook units.

Boom. Instant antagonistic force.

Expanding on this a little bit;

We presently have four units to field, plus the ship. We can create a decent antagonistic force using a relatively low amount of actual antagonists, and by creating a core of recurring ones, we also create enemies that can be eventually defeated to indicate victory without taking out the ace until much later. For example, we could have a team primarily composed of a Gelgoog Jäger for the ace (that Gelgood variant is utterly terrifying), a Rick Dom II for one of his subordinates, a Zudah for another, and then have a Mobile Armor acting as a larger support unit. Pepper the ranks with Rick Dom and Zaku pilots and you have a reasonable force of antagonists.

The Jäger, Rick Dom II, and Zudah are all high end units capable of fighting on par with literally anything we could throw at them. The Gelgoog actually has specs exceeding (pretty far exceeding, in fact) anything we can throw at it, up to and including OYW Gundams. It would make for an excellent ace unit.

@Krayzikk Honestly, this seems like the best course of action. Considering Quincy won't really be seeing much combat, maybe I can control the main four Zeon aces in combat posts? That way we can keep them as steady characters and I can still write some sweet, sweet mobile suit action.

@p1ssaragi I'd be fine with that, personally. I'd be happy to help tweak unit designs, given that most of what we're fielding isn't exactly stock, or help control enemies that I'm not presently fighting during combat.

Speaking from experience, controlling multiple character by yourself against multiple enemies gets confusing fast.

Amusingly, Kat's gender occurred because Plank and Crimmy decided to help me decide. Crimmy flipped a coin. Plank rolled a defective Bakugan. Heads was female, tails was male. If the Bakugan deployed it was male, and didn't it was female.

Against all odds, they agreed.

I really couldn't argue with that.

@Krayzikk That sounds great. I immediately realized I had just bitten off more than I could chew, so your help would be greatly appreciated. This was about to turn into a play-by-post strategy game for me.

EDIT: Did you just say Bakugan? Jesus, that's a name I haven't heard in years.

@Deadlyrose9641 Petition to rename the RP to The Adventures of Captain Quincy and his Space-faring Harem.

@p1ssaragi Happy to help. I have spare time, I'll start sketching out some unit details.

Additionally, petition denied. Unless Quincy's secretly a girl there are some incompatible orientations there

@Krayzikk Just look at Naze's crew in IBO, something'll work out. They can't all be gunning for Naze, right? Back to the main topic, so we should have 3 mobile suit aces and one in something along the lines of a mobile armor for support, just to keep things even. But mobile armors are kind of overpowered in this point in the series, seeing Big Zam and such.

@Plank Sinatra I like you. Dungeon Dice Monster, Bakugan, you remind me of me. Nerd.

Anyway, we could use a Brawrello. Though it looks kind of stupid. A Big Rang might be a much better idea for a MA.

@Krayzikk Just looked up the Brawrello. I'm in love. Its just so dumb. But, the Big Rang makes more sense, and y'know, it doesn't look like that. Suit wise, maybe a heavily modified Gelgoog, considering one is as strong as the OG Gundam looking at specs alone. Maybe some kind of Gouf? An upgraded Gyan, like the Gyan Eos? There are so many cool Zeon suits.

Also Gunpla is freedom.

I'd avoid Goufs purely because they were intended for ground use. Speccing one for space would be a royal pain. The Gelgoog variant I mentioned could suffice with just a new paint scheme and some weapon changes.

A Gyan might not be a bad idea.

If we go with the Big Rang, we can bring in some Oggos as cannon fodder.

@Krayzikk Whoops, I totally missed the Gelgoog Jaeger in the first post. And that's what I thought with the Big Rang, too. Oggos are great cannon fodder- they're just oddly shaped Balls. Honestly, we can get to specifics as we need to with these guys. It'd be kind of cool to have surprises coming up through the campaign.
