Current I sometimes crave people, but then they visit me with their families and pets and kids and grandparents and suddenly I just want to be alone so I can sleep in peace. /sleepy

How'd ju find us? ♡

Oh! And ...

Hi ... ♡♡♡

Creepy-innocent enthusiasm aside, welcome to the Guild!
@NuttsnBolts

Personifying nature as the enemy's accomplice, eh? Good call.
My experience with three people tell me that I cannot like an Aquarius beyond skin deep, because they're like mermaids to me and I'm a Pegasus. We clash too much when we know each other more than civility.

As a Scorpio, I enjoyed relationships with Taurus and Capricorns, which usually lasted for half a year (and that's amazing because I lose hope or desire by the third week, usually).

I can't Aries. I. Can't. Aries. They're hot, they're sexy, and they make me wanna straddle them and KNOCK THEIR LIGHTS OUT WITH A FIST.

Leos I met put me off because they're so defensive and, sometimes, arrogant. One of them got batshit angry at me for not standing at his side when he was arguing with our mutual friend since I was his "baby girl" over an offensive comment HE made. Gee wiz!

Never dated a Libra until my current boyfriend (he's October 18th, and I'm October 24th - same year).

He's a sweetheart who greets me everyday at midnight to welcome a new day, answers all my questions, gives me my me-time when I just need space alone, and worldbuilds with me after I tell him my odd dreams that spawned weird RP ideas. He also beta reads my stuff and gives candid, honest feedback. He also has a fat cat, so that's +++ points with me.

We met here, and hit it off by exchanging ghost stories. He said he read my intcheck thrice, and, even though my plots were not his usual go-to, he felt like trying. It wasn't later on that we found out we're only two hours of flight away from each other. It wasn't even later on that I realised we were born in the same year, same month, and signed up for Guild on the same day.

He wrote me a letter while he was in some jungle infantry training (he's a soldier) a few weeks ago. It was PINK AND PERFUMED. My DAD was the one who passed it to me. God. Damn.

I would like to say that Libras are cute mofo lovers who will pamper you and listen to you VERY WELL (he remembers even my offhand comments!), even if they're not very assertive or straightforward. Darn their duality.

Luckily, I'm a Libra-Scorpio cusp, so I dig!

You could check out the Free Roleplay section. It's generally a very freeform category with loose rules (but YMMV for each GM).

When you're feeling more comfortable, you can try moving onto Casual Roleplay for para-RPing. Or even challenge yourself in the Advanced section where everyone writes several paragraphs usually with highly competent English command.

If you're into roleplays that center around combat, there's the Arena, and if you're into controlling a whole kingdom/country against or with other kingdoms/countries, there's a dedicated section for Nation Roleplay.

We also have our own on-site dice/RNG generator for Tabletop Roleplays!

If you ever tire of group roleplays, which you say you're looking for, there's a section (very, very popular) that caters to 1-to-1 collabs here.

Do join us in the Discussions threads, or Games sections. If you have any issues, ask here or post as your status. Someone will get to you soon enough.

So, welcome to the Guild, Ralts!
Giving this a passerby bump because it struck a fancy in me.
Sometimes, it is also beneficial to only have one piece of dialogue per paragraph, though it it can be split in two for effect.

Our immediate impression was that the paragraph was a bit too dense, that it had nowhere near enough "air".

This. This. This.

I didn't want to point this out in case we just had different styles but take @Ellri's comment. It's good for a dramatic purpose, and gives time for digestion of info before we proceed to the next 'scene'.

Upworthy:

Austere spelling.

Everyone likes posts which they don't have to decipher by jumping over typo hurdles or trippy keyboarding in order to comprehend the context. You keep doing what you do for this standard of spelling, sonny. //sheds tear of pride

Passable grammar.

The usage of 'would' is a bit off. While it's the past tense of "will [verb]", it makes the narration sound more hypothetical than absolute. It's more appropriate in use if you're allowing options for the other roleplayer to respond to, such as "If [other person] chose to open the middle door, they would be blasted with a torrent of rotten stench."

Aside from this, good job.

Good punctuation.

By good I mean closing dialogue in a suitable way. (A period/full-stop before a quotation mark.) It's a big thing for me - like pretty much everything else. Keep it up; we could always, always do with more of this.

Nitpick:

Vocabulary.

Not encouraging purple prose here. Just felt that using a few less-overused-but-quite-common words would invoke a more dramatic atmosphere, given the content.

Such as swapping out "scared" for 'frightened', 'terrified', or 'aghast' ... "stuck" for 'lodged', 'jammed', 'trapped' ...

In any case, the more you read and practise writing, the more easier you'll find to pick the right thesaurus that creates the mood you aim for in writing. Don't stress out.

Details.

You don't have to list out every stimuli or material, right down to tactile, but throwing in details for surrounding sounds (hasty footsteps), smell of air (earthy, and pungent with fear), texture of the ground (dry and solid, or loose and muddy), lighting of the environment, etc.

It helps make the read more intriguing and less mechanical, unless that is what you're aiming for.

Edited for elaboration and ~colouring~ because I'm ridorkulous.

Halt the jukebox.

What?

Idk how that came to be your fault? It's not like you were MIA for two days or more. If it's speeding between two people then they should consider 1x1, or else a nice "speedpost is valued" tag in their intcheck.

This is like being in a circle of friends at a diner, and everyone talks like machine guns while those that need a few seconds to formulate an approach = incompetent or slow or SOMETHING.

Aish.
