History: Growing up in the fire nation born to successful merchants Hideki had a comfortable early life. As a child he was addicted to reading about Avatar Korra and Avatar Aang and their adventures. He loved that they were able to use all styles of bending, allowing them to be incredibly creative with their bending. Knowing he would never have that ability he became determined to learn everything there is to know about bending. He left home at 14 years old to travel around the world and study bending from masters of their style. Spending 22 years traveling the world has given him much experience and he has mastered fire bending(including being able to use lightning). The last culture he wishes to study before returning home is that of the sand benders, which he has just left Ba Sing Se to do.
Special interests/skills/hobbies: He often tries to blend techniques from other bending styles to improve his fire bending. This allows him to be much more fluid in his fighting tactics, and much more unpredictable, he is also an adept hand-to-hand fighter knowing multiple martial arts and uses his bending to supplement the fighting he knows.

@AngelofOctober Hideki will love Zoze, because he is studying different styles of bending, and how they affect fire bending. That is why he would love your water bending style fire bending and the avatars ability to use multiple elements. He is basically studying the evolution of bending.
