Suddenly, the room began to quake around the group. Everyone was frozen in place almost paralyzed by some higher power. A large crack appeared in a wall towards the far side of the room, and with a blinding flash of red light, a blood portal opened. What stepped through the abomination of magic was someone Arthur never expected to see again. "No" he whispered, his voice stricken with fear "you can't be here!". But he was all too real, stepping through the portal in coal black armor. His sword was emanating a dark glow like a contained black hole was stored inside of it. Finally the dark red eyes peering out from the helmet, staring into them and feeling like the very essence of reality itself was being torn apart in front of you. Yes, it was Sovereign King Odisius, fused with the demon lord Asaroth.

His voice seemed to fill the room with power and darkness. "You fools dare to intrude into my domain, my kingdom?". He looked at the group with contempt "you are barely worth my time, insignificant mortals." Odisius stared down Father Cross before slowly walking across the cobblestone floor to his paralyzed form. “Ah, now what is a priest of the shadow god doing here? “ he seemed to ponder something for a moment before coming to a decision. “I could have use for a new disciple. You will be coming with me.” Crosses body was blasted with red energy, and he collapsed on the floor seemingly dead. Glowing black chains crisscrossed around his body, and he was gradually dragged into the portal by an invisible force.

“As for the rest of you,” he pondered the fate of the adventurers again. “I expect you won’t survive long anyway. Suppose I should let my minions have some fun with you.” He turned his back on the group and walked back through the portal. With a tremor the red gate to who knows where collapsed and simultaneously the paralyzation spell that had afflicted the group dissipated.
Soooooo... I might've just completely neglected this RP for awhile and didn't think you guys were still interested. But uh yeah, needless to say we can definitely keep this going. I'll get another post out by tomorrow, while keeping up the search for our new 4th member.
The machinations of life.

When the human race took shelter in the giants, no one thought about how long they would have to stay there. The mindset was that the world would clean itself up, and in the meantime they would be safe in the metal monstrosities constructed just before the war. Huge, sky scraping robots, capable of storing millions of people inside the dark and twisted innards. At first, the resources were plentiful and spirits were high. The engineers kept the confusing and complicated parts running smoothly, and smoke from the exhaust ports could be seen for miles around, thousands and thousands of gallons of crude fossil fuels being burned by the day. The general populace wasn't worried when the fossil fuels started to run out. They figured the engineers would think of something, And think of something they did. For a decade the engineers toiled around the machines, in every conceivable part. Finally, unfortunately, the age of labor had begun. The job lists appeared on every Teletube, and just like that words from the past like "freedom" and "rest" were gone forever.

OOC

Basically the idea of this RP is that after the nuclear resource wars, all of the worlds nations piled into huge individual robots, each the size to store an entire nation. After the fossil fuels ran out, the engineers outfitted the robots to work on pure physical power. This started the age of labor, in which 95% of all populations of the robots were subjugated into menial labor jobs, ruled by the guild of engineers who had control of the brain. This will be set 300 years after the Great War, when the idea of freedom is long gone and the common mans life has no meaning. You will play as one of these workers, fed up with your life and seeking to escape through one of the exhaust ports. I'll expand this ALLOT more and polish it if it gets enough interest. Thanks for reading!
@Dynamo Frokane ah, well okay. I’ll be keeping my eye on this.
Very interested, but a couple of questions first. When 2 players get into a battle, does the spirit of the archmage in the ring “possess” them? (Like yugi from Yugioh). Are we limited to only the starter decks you’ve provided or can we make our own as long as they’re pre approved by you? And finally are their any cards that don’t have time limits on them? When it comes to card games I’m an extremely “weather them down over time” player. Also i don’t know if you’re taking suggestions, but spells would be a very promising card type for this game along with spicing up duels quite a bit.
Super interested! Have a ton of questions though. What's the maximum age we can make our characters, since the world is steampunk do they have blimps/sky ships powered by steam/ and or magic? Was thinking about making a character a bit older than the rest, who tries and routinely fails to keep his friends out of trouble. Couple of other ideas to, but I've been waiting for this kinda RP for awhile :)
@The Fated Fallen@Crazytazer@rivaan

Hey guys, an update. So after multiple private messages and forum posts without even an acknowledgement I have decided to kick @Eisenhorn off the of the RP. I can't allow this RP to stall for weeks when he not just ignores my messages, but posts on other Roleplays. Needless to say I'll be opening the party back up for another member. If you have anyone who you think would Ben interested please let them know! I'm confident that with our great team we'll be able to get this RP back on track with everyone's help!
@Eisenhorn any ETA on the post?

*Most of the time* XD

Aw, thanks! You're damned good too. In fact everyone here is very good!

I'd have to agree, so far I'm very pleased for the most part about everyone's fluency and grammar. Sure there's a couple mistakes here and there but hey, this is casual after all XD
So this is basically This War of Mine?
