No, it's complete shit.

I doubt the Legion would conscript someone at the age of 13. Either he lied to join, pressured by peer, or taken by more unorthodox commanders.

It's not very usual but I've seen some documented cases of child soldiers in WWI at the very least (as an example of child soldiers in legitimate armies, and not some African warlord's drag band). And 'camp people' were a thing, be they traders, washers, cooks or prostitutes.

I've loved the whole idea of making a character who defies first impressions. I'm trying to move away from always playing the same ol' character archetype of relentless, brooding badass #23,407,567

I just want to play a guy with some honor who is genuinely friendly and means well for a man in the soldier's profession.

Yeah. I always appreciate a character who's just simply a nice guy.
Also, I updated Yorwen's sheet. Less of a cold hardass and a wee more friendly. He's ironically scary looking for the profession he was to go into. Just a heads up.

I remember this local comic where an Undead galley captain, whose main job was to whip undead galley slaves, took up knitting because eternity was really damn boring. Let the main character go after he taught him a different knitting style or something, can't remember very clearly. But the whole 'badass who loves tailoring' aspect just reminded me of that.

There were two types of crossbows in Morrowind, Steel and Dwarven. The Dwarven variant is not common at all, so it's out of the question. Steel Xbows, on the other hand, is only mass-produced by professional organizations like the Imperial Legion. Remember the Legion were much more powerful in the 3rd era than the 4th, which translates to less crossbows produced today. Although they take less training to shoot, they make for it with more training to maintain. A crossbow is mechanically complex relative to the standard bow. Not to mention, building bolts require a different and less known process than arrows.

You're right about the crossbows, though I recall nearly every weapon vendors having one of the steel ones. I just wanted to voice my thought on the matter. After all, Bethesda is known to bend game lore to fit engine limitations.

-Crossbows are rare tech on Tamriel. A band of "merry hunters" are not likely to have one, and even if they do, ammo is gonna be another problem. I advise switching to bow, or downgrading it to a semi-functional piece with less than 10 bolts.

They used to be pretty commonplace in Morrowind. But I guess being chronologically 200 years in the past doesn't help.

There's a character who has a prosthetic? Or was that just an example of 'something that can't be done in the game'?

If there's not a character with a prosthetic, then... well, there should be. :V Maybe one of those old-school metallic arms.

The only character with a prosthetic that comes to mind is Yagrum Bagarn, and he's a Dwemer (hell, he's not even a person by game standards but a creature) so he's bound to be unique than everything else.
Okaylay, here's my submission to this mission. Noticed we don't get too many unarmed brawlers/wrestlers in these sorts of settings, which I find surprising. I mean, in Dawnguard you can sneak up on enemies and Suplex them to death. :P

I have a feeling we'll be getting some really interesting character this time around. Out of curiosity, how many people are using an actual ES build they're played as before?

No TES game I know of lets you get a prosthetic or smoke a skooma pipe. I don't even play the games themselves that much anyway.

?

Could you explain?

Just referring to his ability to cross dress.
Here be my CS. Hopefully you get a kick out of him.
