There was a French knight who literally wrote the book on Chivalry, IIRC, who had medieval PTSD. I think it was Agincourt he took part in and found himself flinching any time he saw a bird fly in the edge of his vision. The difference between medieval knights and the modern soldier though, is that knights were born and bred for their position as warriors. The closest equivalent to the modern soldier would be the Vietnam draftee and a medieval levy. One of the ways soldiers often avoid psychological disorders or great grief is by talking to their comrades. Medieval soldiers had much more time to do this, and it's been theorized that's how they avoided PTSD. The earliest mention of anything that could be interpreted as PTSD is from a 19th Century text that mentions soldiers' "war fatigue."

I've read something about that - like how the baggage train and the march to and from battle was a way to get rid of the stress, by conditioning yourself that you were going to fight or that it was over, and that nowadays the more abrupt change from battle to civilian life makes it harder.

I do, however, remember accounts of knights being unable to sleep, gritting their teeth and crying whenever the sound of metal clanging was heard. So PTSD was probably a thing back then too - I just don't think people could admit it, since there was practically no psychology and it would be seen as pussying out. Hell, it was, and it could be punished by execution during WWI.

As for the combat mentality, Evan Wright's Generation Kill (and the TV series) describes it pretty accurately. I also took pieces of Wright for Madura's character.

This makes me want to see Madura go apeshit and just non-lethally bash through a whole horde of enemies.

There are Argonians in the company. They've infiltrated us already.

THEY CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT
<Snipped quote by Peik>

Everyone always blames the Argonians

Argonians are Lizardmen
Anunnaki are Lizardmen

Both have names starting with A

Coincidence? I think not
[REDACTED]

The fucking lizardmen are at work again.
Differences between characters is good, helps define their individuality. Cheery circle jerk 100% of the time gets boring.

While we're talking characters, I got an exercise borrowed from Hank's RP. What does your guy or gal think of everyone else? Make a list of opinions and update it to your sheet's relationship section. Keegan's is in his sheet.

Edit: After the latest ballots...

Execution (2), imprison (5), send her out against Kamals (3).

Voting closes on Mar 5th, 0000 PST.

Edit 2: Just checked on UESP, the proper name is "Gray Quarter", not "Grey" or "Quarters".

I always appreciate some tension in the party. Makes things more interesting in my opinion.

Also, added opinions to the relations section.

Kicked out of the city right now is almost a guaranteed death sentence. So if you're getting rid of her, might as well do it at night for max damage. Otherwise, a quick beheading cleans up nice and simple.

Well, if so, I guess Sadri'd also say lock-up, if it isn't too late. He's kind of sentimental like that.

Sadri'd rather have Relmyna kicked out of the city somehow rather than killed or used as suicide attacker, and simply not care about the Vampire. It isn't his company, it isn't his business.

Been a while since I read anything Hellboy. Never saw the particular issue about Koschei but bits of the series definitely influenced my writing.

Always thought cat people the softy type, until I found this guy.

It wasn't an issue in itself, if I recall correctly - it was part of either the Darkness Calls or Wild Hunt arc, as an addendum. I thought it was pretty cool, gave personality to Koschei.

Found it on some tumblr just now, two parts.

Also, sucks to be that cat if you ask me.
