The smuggler in his Z-95 had just about finished his meal when his comlink began to chime. Tossing his garbage out onto the landing pad, Darton brought the comlink out of his jacket and checked the call signature.

He frowned, recognizing who exactly was calling. He straightened up in the cockpit, nestling his helmet between his knees and trying to make himself look as presentable as possible, just in case he had to flick on the hologram setting. Clearing his throat, he finally clicked the ‘answer’ button.

“Fanx here.”

A robotic voice answered. “Timana the Hutt demands your presence at once, there is a matter that demands your attention.”

He scratched his beard, momentarily contemplating. What could possibly be this urgent? Timana knew how busy his schedule was. Unless…

“If it’s about the rancor eggs, assure Timana that-”

“Timana does not rush such trivial matters. A planet under Hutt protection has recently been occupied, you are required to deliver a message to the would-be conqueror.”

Darton pinched the bridge of his nose, screwing up his eyes.

Goddamnit.

He felt his stomach turn, hotcake within. This wasn’t how he thought this day was gonna go.

Composing himself, he returned his attention to the comlink.

“I will arrive shortly,” he said curtly, shutting the comlink off.

Basically, Timana wanted him to delve into enemy space firsthand, and make threats on behalf of the Hutt himself. Which would probably result in his head returning to Timana on a platter.

Well, it wasn’t the worst situation he’d been in. Not by a long shot. He shivered at the memory of-

Nope. Hard pass.

Centering himself for a moment, Darton strapped in to his fighter, helmet on, and keyed in the co-ordinates to Circumtore.

She looked up at the two standing over her, some colour returning to her face and brightening her features. A faint smile crept across her mouth, as she unclasped her arms. She took a look at the two hands extended to her before gently taking them.

"Thanks fellas," she said softly as she pulled herself up to stand with them. She rubbed the back of her head a bit. "I'm sorry. I just need a moment to breathe."

The Zeltron closed her eyes, breathing deeply as thoughts raced through her head.

They had to play this very carefully. She trusted Master Azure but not even he could know where the Empire was now, or how far they would go to hunt down the last Jedi in the galaxy. Ilum was a sacred place to the Jedi, likely known by those who had breached the Archives. It would be a fine place to find any other surviving Jedi, but could also be host to a slaughter if the Empire got there first. It was risky, but Master Azure presumably knew best, so she would carry out his orders.

Cautiously.

It was only a moment of breathing before Alia reopened her eyes, and looked up at the two others.

"You're always welcome to join us, Yisil. Now let's get going - we've got a course to plot."
Hey hey peeps we got a new Galaxy Map
@Garet Yes, they helped a bit with mobility and height advantage, but they were mostly used as indicators of preferable mates.

@6slyboy6 No problem, I just wanted to make sure you had the relationship between the factions straight. The Concord worlds and the Exile worlds are situated within Collective space. The Concord worlds just have free access to that space because they're engaged in a co-operative relationship with the Collective.

In regards to coilguns, they're more or less stealth weapons. That means the projectiles usually travel subsonically in order to not generate any noise. They can be switched to supersonic modes, but even in that case they're still beat out by propellant weapons (over distance), because this universe's propellant weapons are essentially rocket-bullets, and continue accelerating as they fly through the air.

@6slyboy6 Here is the updated history. If you have any questions about why I changed what I did, feel free to ask.

Also, in regards to his personal effects, they all look good, but one little thing is that electromagnetic weapons are less powerful than projectile weapons of the same caliber. Though scaling them up would make them more powerful.

As for ships, I don't have many rules other than "don't make it a fighter" and the size minimum is 100m length. Use the Ship Skeleton in Quick Reference, and show me when you're done. If I have no problems with it, I'll approve it.
I'd like to introduce a cityscape to this, it will be in The Collective, a suburban area close to the true Utopian capital of Solomon. Though not quite as ordered, regulated or clean as the capital itself - especially since the influx of refugees fleeing their homeworlds since the Colossus' incursion. The once spacious and rustic New Medinia (conglomeration of Medea and Medina) is now home to many desperate people trying to rebuild their lives ...and the cityscape has changed to reflect the struggles of it's people.

My character will have his current home here.

-------------

Visuals:

Various parts of New Medinia

This is right now just a scaffold on which to build the idea around, a place where citizens of low Merit can still eke out a living.

Summary:

Introduced:.

New urban City in Solomon
Consequence: Possible outlet for refugees and other characters
New cultural event, Agones (equivalent of olympics, but with authorized gene doping)
New Localized Culture

------------

Now that I know where my character lives, I have a clearer image of who he might be.

@71452K

So just a couple notes on this.

Solomon isn't a city, it's a star system. I'd suggest people download the Solomon System map in Links and Downloads to get an idea of the place. New Medinia can be a district of a city, established or not, or a city unto itself.

Merit is not really a currency; there is a universal merit income that allows any citizen of the Collective to live comfortably. I'm fine with it being a city or district of war refugees but the city wouldn't be downtrodden, dirty or home to the poor. There are no poor in the Collective.

One last thing: the Gragachi aren't a Collective race - only use the Collective races for now.
@6slyboy6 No worries dude, I'm just a stickler myself and I won't hold it against anyone. As for the character, he looks pretty good. There are just a couple factual errors with the History. Mind if I edit it to make it more consistent with the lore, then see what you think?
