Tic's heart sank, all he could do was slumped over; fall on the table like a rag doll quietly groaning and beat his hand lightly against the wooden surface.

It just wasn't his day... or night... did they even have day and night here?

With his eyes almost as weary as his body Tic fell back into his chair glass some how still in his hand and as full as when when it was given to him. He needed to stop caring so much about the job or whatever he thought a runner should be so he could just relax, he took a long drink from his glass and set it on the table his head hung obscuring his face. Something strange happened, what seemed like a small cough from Tic soon developed into a chuckle, it wasn't long before his roaring laughter echoed through the room.

"You know what? This whole things ridiculous!" he spluttered out between breaths "I'm in a slotting bar attached to who knows where?!" he laughter slowing gave a soft smile to the elf and human across from him "Mind if we just hold a normal conversation?" he pushed himself back off his seat and offered his hand to either party at the table "I'm Tic, whats your name?"

Tic smirked a little when the man nodded, he really wanted to go over to the man and talk business but the bar maid's wistful look told him he shouldn't leave her alone business at the bar seemed to be slowing down and he knew how mind numbing that could be. Slamming the rest of his drink Tic offered the empty glass to her.

“Another of the same” he smiled as he ran a hand through his hair to make himself more or less presentable. He pointed across to the plain man “and one for my buddy over there” he hopped off the stool “That book’s name would be great too” he called over his shoulder making his way over the the man’s booth.

“I’m not much of a face so I’ll get to the point, then we can kick back and have good drink” he set himself opposite the plain man “what's the job?”

The wood elf couldn't help but smile softly when the ebony haired woman sat beside him, at least she didn't seem hostile or adverse to his presence beside her. It was then that Koru was able to take in her beauty, her hair could have just as easily been part of the night sky it flowed against and her eyes pierced the darkness much like the moon high above. Her sudden attempt to hide her powerful strength and magic made it seem like she didn't want him to talk about it, not that it had ever stopped him before.

"I've never seen flames such as yours, is that a family spell or something that could be learnt?" he asked pulling out his tomb and flipping rapidly to a blank page. He hoped against hope that this woman didn't find it too touchy a subject, something similar had almost cost him the book several years ago.

Out of the corner of his eye Koru spotted three figures climbing a nearby tree, he paid them no mind as it was more likely a drunk's silly game than anything of note.

Koru could help but chuckle at the ridicule as he was lifted easily back onto the roof, it was true he was never much one for balance despite his racial traits. Her unnatural strength caught him by surprise, he'd heard of people like this however he'd never heard it go hand in hand with magical flames let alone ones that behaved as strangely as her's did. Fire was fire though and her reaction to his entrance only gave him more reason to stick around, not to mention he new an interesting person when he saw one, and it was not everyday someone like this showed up.

The sorceress's tone would have been all Koru needed to know how much of an uphill battle this was going to be, carefully he lowered himself to where she had been sitting. He had to catch himself more than once on his way down, but got there without too much difficulty.

"I suppose you're right" patting the shingles where she once sat "I'm in no hurry to be reintroduced to the ground, would you sit with me for a while?"

Unable to register that he had been moved Tic took a long swig from a drink that was now in his hand. Looking around for any kind of familiarity, only two sources came into view. There was a plain man across the tavern who had show up around the time everything started to get out of his depth, and the bartender seemed to be on top of what's going on in the bar.

"What ya reading?" he blurted with less tact than usual.

Waiting for a response from the elf Tic turned his attention back to the bar slowly gaining some of his sense back. The pain man seemed to be waiting for… something… well better to be that something, maybe he was waiting on some runners who’d been a no show. He could use the work to hold him over until the last job blew over. He shuddered remembering his predicament, if he could even get back.

Scribbling a messy note on a napkin Tic wrapped it around his hand flashlight and threw it across the room to the man.

‘Need work, you hiring?’
@POOHEAD189@Song Book
Song Book! Poohead its great to see ya back at the tavern, don't think I've forgotten about you; I'll be sending Tic your way in my next post.

And for Song Book, that quick recap wanted, when you left Tic decided that he was going to carry on with or without you beating his way through the door and finding another note. You probably would have heard Tic go over the note once or twice so I'll list it below.

I'm itchen for flesh, fights I never lose.
I'm the largest in my family, find me if you choose.

Tic left you in the hall to continue his search while everyone else seemed to have gone back to the bar, PaintLynn has a thing going on with Overlords character Alex (Both are hybrids of a Creeper/Human and Enderman/Human respectively). From there a man with fire red hair (Zorogami) entered the tavern and while ordering water got given whisky and did some great RP with his getting drunk for the first time. At this time we also had ViolentViolet showed up and turned most candles in the tavern blue, about then Tic tried to start a bar fight with Clay which was promptly stopped by Violet's character.

The fight between the two continued downstairs where Tic lost rather badly, Alisdragon911 has all this time been in the tavern making friends and helping out when asked. At this time she was asked to man the bar while Clay took care of business, she's been rather quiet about her royal ties though most people seem to be able to pick up on it, some faster then you'd think. During some cleaning round the back Mimic character residing in his namesake had it influence a spider to go and bite the Alis's hand, this spider's venom will cause its victim to be overcome with laughter and slowly die when they are unable to breath, Overlord has more or less taken care of this.

Timelord returned restoring balance to the bar and has been taking care of some rather serious matters with a man who claims to be controlling a mimic to get around. Shes watched over his body while Overlord seems intent on knowing that he's a mimic or at the very least controlling one and as such Timelords been unable to leave his side while he regains his strength. Clays had a little bit of a go at mimic out of jealousy but nothing really harmful and Continuum has a cowboy like doorwelding man wandering around the tavern in awe ever since he found out where he was.

Finally I think this was some info you would be interested to hear is Dorians back however as he just stated Dark lights not going to be around to post for a few days so just keep that in mind.

I think that's everything, if you have any more questions or perhaps I've missed something feel free to PM or add a message to the long wall of text
I'm here just thinking on what Tic should do next

Tic had been watching Doorman's little episode with interest and amusement, he hadn't seen him look like that since he'd been told he was getting cut off from the bar before last call all those years ago.

"Sir, how do I calm your cowboy friend down?" the worried voice of the bar tender pulled Tic's attention away from the rattled runner, Tic shifted uncomfortably in his chair; he actually never had to calm Doorman down before.

"Ummm not quite sure, but you didn't look too far off the mark with the drink" Tic lightly took off from his chair and placed it in the other hand of the panicked dead-eye.

"Calm down, take a sip or two from your glass. I can find out which dimension we are in now but just enjoy your drink for now." the way she said dimension that time gave Tic the impression that she seriously believed they were hurling through dimensions. Tic slowly descended towards the floor as he processed what he had just been told, by the look of door man she must have mentioned it earlier. Now shaking a little himself he looked longingly back up to the drink he had relinquished to Doorman and now wished he hadn't.

Taking a deep breath Tic tried to make it back over to the bar to order another drink fast, however he only made it halfway when it all hit him. The excess of powerful mages, the pig man, the chest, and the door that seeming repaired itself when he wasn't looking. Unlike Doorman he didn't fall into a fit of panic he just stood there dumbfounded.

"Walker went dark about the time you bailed, hasn’t really been any news of him since then” he got his arm up on the counter and rested against it speaking in a slightly hushed tone.

“Fixers are always looking for new talent though, Nisso picked me up a year or so ago, all he ever gives me are snatch and grabs” he shrugged “It’s boring, but it helps pay the bills”

“Now, what are you doing in Melbourne I didn't think you’d be coming back after that last stunt you pulled”
@Continuum
The bar tonight had been anything but normal for Tic, stranger people seemed to frequent this bar… well stranger then what Tic had come to expect from the Melbourne crowd. He check his Com again to see if his crew was ok, no signal, so what else is new. For all its fancy liquor this bar had terrible reception.

Just as he was considering slamming the drink when it arrived so he could leave before clay returned, a voice cut into his thoughts. “Tic, is that you?”

On the one hand Tic was relieved to see a familiar face on the other, it was just as likely to lead even more trouble straight to him. Doorman looked a whole lot scruffier than when he last saw him, and he could see the years had not been as kind as the cowboy would have liked. “It’s been years! What are you doing in Seattle big guy?”

“Doorman! It's been too long, I missed ya ugly mug” he turned in his seat to better face the large man. “Last I heard you were in...” then something Doorman has said stuck in the violent sprites mind.

“Seattle, you sure you haven't been messing with Zen again?” he raised an eyebrow at his compatriot “Always thought Lady Liquor was your only mistress”

Groaning Tic sat up in a rather unfamiliar room, he had been laid out on what he could only assume was a medical bench. He’d been striped down to his pants and his shirt and jacket were laid out at the other end of the bench. Not questioning it too much me slowly crawled over to his folded clothes and started getting dressed, this placed seemed a little cleaner than most street doc’s he’d been too.

As he flexed his wings to fit them through the back of his shirt the events that had transpired earlier in what he hoped was the same evening came flooding back. Losing twice in one night and one to a freaking mage, yep no one's going to be hearing about this missadventure if he could help it.

However with the bad came some good, his wings looked to be in pristine condition. Lazily he ran his hand through the ethereal feathers that made up the span, he’d figured it was going to be weeks before he’d be in the air again. Looking over his effects his wallet was noticeably lighter now, presumably the doc had taken his payment and left him to sort himself out.

Extending his wings to their full span he gently glided across the room quietly latching his hand onto the doors handle and giving it a tug. Though he’d only been without it for a few hours Tic relished the feeling of his legs dangling below him not having to worry about balance or silly things like that.

Once in the hall he saw all too familiar figure of Clay, entering a room further down the hall. Good, that meant he could avoid that conversation a little while longer, maybe get a little drunk again too. Carefully making an obvious arc around the door clay had entered Tic made his way down into the main tavern.

Approaching the bar Tic gestured to the specials board and landed heavily on a bar stool.“Yo, ‘tender, a glass of whatever ‘The Dwarf Toss’ is!”
