Current That awkward moment when you've been away for a few mouths and have to catch up with everything.

Is it weird that I have a good mental image of most of the person just from their usernames?

"I hear ya" Stepney called out stumbling forward to before relaxing into the pace Charles was setting towards the station. He looked to Griffin who had looked uneasy at the mere mention of taking the train, sidling up along side the brooding mage he put his arm over his shoulder. "Cheer up will ya, we probably won’t not have too much time for smilin' when we get there so try and enjoy the ride" Stepney grinned widely to his companion as they moved down the many streets towards the station.

"Why shouldn't they be?" James chuckled as he made his way into the kitchen to store the food he'd collected. The young man couldn't help but smile when he returned to the main room and saw the stars reaching far beyond the horizon. James could have stared at those stars all night if it wasn't for the increasing weight of his eyelids. Slowly he pushed himself up once more and towards the linen cupboard. Retrieving some linen sheets one of the pillows from the nearby bed he started making up the couch as a makeshift bed for the night.

"I vote train, it'll be cheap and efficient" Stepney his pockets supply of jewels, it wasn't the fattest wallet he'd ever kept but it was enough to cover a few weeks of travel. Patting himself down he was now confident that he had everything for the journey, it then occurred to Stepney he didn't know who the summoner was. "I'm Stepney by the way" he offered his hand to Charles. He knew who Griffin was, he'd heard seen him around the guild enough to know a few people just never actually talked with him.

"That's one way of putting it" James chuckled and scratched the back of his neck leading the way to the reception desk, the hotel was a whole lot flashier than he had expected probably due to all the royalty he strutting around. Not that he could complain, this hotel's couch was probably going to offer a better night's sleep then his own bed would.

The receptionist looked to be a nice enough woman who; after an exchange of identification and confirming their room number he was given a pair of room keys. He passed the first key off to Iris pocketing the first allowing her to lead the way, if anyone could get lost in something a simple as a hotel it was him.

"A Tavern." Well that answer fell flat, a lot flatter then he was used to, it just wasn't his day. but still he smiled, chuckled and gave his head a shake. Koru felt less intimidated by the woman's icy gaze but more intrigued, most people just asked him to shove off. The sheer sarcasm made the wood elf feel like this was more of a game to see who would cave first, a game he was more then willing to play.

"Well I'd be a pretty poor traveler if I was unable to figure out that much, wouldn't I?" he joked taking a sip from his wine "So how does one come to find a tavern in the middle of no where like this?"
@Alisdragon911
Sorry to be a bother but "The house red" means what ever the most commonly served red wine of the tavern. Sorry to be a bother and all.

Slowly but surely James managed to navigate back to where he had started where Iris was waiting for him, he might have gotten back first had he not gotten lost. He realized how ridiculous that sounded when it was mostly just a shopping strip tonight rather than a thriving market one would expect during the day. She bought a little more than he had first guessed she was going for, surely she would have had her luggage delivered to where they were staying.

"Now not to be to be a little bit of a bummer but do you know where we're staying?" He sighed taking a couple of pieces of sliced bread out and offering one to Iris.

Koru was taken aback by the sheer caliber of elf that came to serve him, while wood elves might as well have been the hillbilly cousins to that of regular breed of elves this waitress could have matched any high elf he'd seen in his travels. He could see a bead of sweat trickle down her forehead resting in the nook of her circlet, for a brief look Koru had already began formulating questions. What house did she hail from? Was she a high elf or Eladrin? How many fingers was he holding up? and of course how she came to work in this strange tavern?

Questions he decided to leave for later, perhaps when she was on break keeping up with all the orders must be tiring.

"Ahh yes my order" His voice have a spring in it much like his step however it was laced the gruff tones of an old man whose seem more than his share of the world "perhaps a glass of the house red" Koru Relaxed into a stool as he waited for his drink any the few watching him to get their fill.

A strangely dressed man seated beside him intrigued Koru, while he might seemed a bit jumpy the eye of someone who had seen beyond their own scope was laced behind the veil his stoic expression seeked to uphold. duh dum... his cloak like garb was clearly stained at its base, how it was puzzled Koru a little, it hadn't rained in a few days and the forest had assured him the nearest river was a day away. duh dum... The choice of drink looked a little strange, must be a human dink; oh there was so much to learn and he only had a night before some of these lovely patrons disappeared into the night. duh dum....

Ok that noise was starting to bother Koru, following the sound the the human gaze came to look at another human. A woman this time, all in all there was little to say. She was pretty attractive however he didn't need his book to remind him how fleeting their lives were. Koru was about to dismiss her altogether when a she turned her head slightly and revealed a strange tattoo on the back of her neck, in a flash his book was open and the pages blurred past. Apparently having found nothing the pages stopped on a blank page, resting the book his his lap Koru's writing hand scribbled in some notes as he tried to get her attention.

"Excuse me mam, but would you happen to know where we are?"

Stepney yawned when light slowly crept through his window and started to play along his face. He turned away from the invading sun rays he really wanted to sleep in today, however the light continued its grand trek through his room until the light reflected off one of his many metal object back into his face. Growling he began his morning struggle to free himself from the sheets that seeked to keep him trapped in bed. He could feel the bruises from yesterday making themselves know as he got up and dressed himself.

Disgruntled he left bedroom and acquired breakfast. he slowly began some final tuning on his arm chewing away at buttered toast. The arm was a sleek model much like the one he'd started the yesterday with rather than the crude mess he had to use in the tournament stage. A glance at the clock told Stepney it was about 8:30, reluctantly he got to his feet and attached the arm, he felt a shock run through his body as it reattached causing him to yelp, he was never going to get used to that. Making sure he had all his tools for a journey Stepney made his way out the door and towards the guild.
