Galactik Combat

I haven't been writing/joining any rps for a while, but I suddenly got an idea for a RP that would work really well.
It would combine the Mortal Kombat 9 story a bit with that of the Galactik Football series.
What it comes down to is that there are a series of tournaments hosted by great powers across the universe, and those tournaments involve fights. But not just normal fights, fights with anything allowed. Weapons? Check. Superpowers? Check. Finishing your opponent off? Check.
This wouldn't be purely fighting though, but it would be the main aspect. There would be underground tournaments, npcs and all kinds of stuff like that.
People could choose a faction which allows them to have certain superpowers, and then they get something like points to spec into fighting styles, weapons, and that kind of stuff. Fighting in fights gains you extra points, special feats give even more points.
I would include lots of npcs to compete again ofcourse, as finishing eachother off each match would end it all quite... quickly.
People would be allowed to have multiple characters.
So... anyone in here have any interest/need more info?

Dread, why did you even decide to do tag duels? It seems to make things harder for rp'ers to get it all organized for an actual duel. I know I haven't had the best of luck finding a partner that's on when able, for either of my characters either. Maybe they're busy with life and stuff, but it's been quite some time now.

Thought it would be an interesting way to narrow the competition down quick early game. It's only for this round, I didn't realize there would be so much trouble with it. If you absolutely cannot find a partner then go ahead and just say that you got paired with some random scrub NPCs and won. P.S. The losing team of the tag duel has to duel each other to stay in the tournament. If you guys don't like this idea it can be changed. Not saying the loser of both of those matches is permanently removed. There are always ways back in.

Maybe force the losing teams into an elimination tournament free for all, where everyone has a random 1 vs 1 where the losing team gets eliminated or something? As for my part, i will write it monday as i will go to bed and i will be gone tommorow.

Vanity's format will make things miserable unless you run Kuribandit engine w/ triple MST in the deck. You also need 3 copies of the SD in order to really make the deck cohesive too.

Yeah, the tag was my idea. Sorry guys, didn't realize it wouldn't work :/ On the side note, gonna get my deck irl soon, will play tournaments and stuff again IRL :) (Will be playing Lightsworn, lightsworn and infernity are my fav decks and infernity is too inconsistent for tournaments)

I have been thinking about the tag team duel between Aono's team vs Emily's team: The zombie team of Emily absolutely dominates the early game, and she keeps on mocking Miwa, until Aono makes a huge comeback, clears the board, and makes Miwa finish Emily off. How about that? Will probably be able to post tommorow

Im not saying what you said was wrong, I just wanted us to duel with Aono and Miwa, and your post kinda made these plans irrelevant, mistake from my side by not telling you in ooc though.

Aono looked at the strange woman who just appeared, and another weird boy besides her. "Thats quite a strange girl... I believe i saw her before?" Aono was thinking to himself. As Emily was having her speech, he couldn't help but feel irritated, especially when Miwa ran away. "You know... You can insult me as much as you want... But what you just did to her.." Aono said, as he looked at Emily, full of anger. "What you just did is unexpected!" He screamed, as he sprinted at Emily, trying to punch her, but Emily just stepped aside, and tripped Aono, making him fall face first onto the floor, making her laugh. "Foolish boy... Now go get her ass back here so we can duel!" She ordered Aono, as she turned around, noticing her partner was gone. "Where has he gone..." She asked herself, as he noticed him talking to other duelists in the distance. "Boy, get your partner back if you want revenge for what I said to her... as for me, I am getting mine back.." She said, as she facepalmed, running towards her partner. "Well... I guess I truely have no choice..." Aono thought, as he started to chase Miwa. "Miss Miwa! Calm down, we will take our revenge on her for what she said!" Aono shouted to Miwa. Meanwhile, Emily catched up to Moros. "Follow me, I am sure she will still duel us... Believe me!" She said with a sadistic smile on her face, pointing towards their original location.

Well Emily being mean made the little princess girl leave and then we can't very well 2v1 so Moros is all like, hey look other poeple. Speaking of which HEY OTHER POEPLE DON't IGNORE MOROS HES A NICE GUY

Sorry for me not being there yesterday, i suffered from Sleep Paralysis and was tired the entire day, didn't feel like rping tbh. Uhm... What is my partner doing? xD We were preparing a tag duel, but he just randomly walked to another tag team to challenge them? On the side note... One of the reasons I stopped is the lack of tournaments in my country. There is only 1 local tournament a month, which requires me to travel quite a bit... And besides that, there are like 2-4 tournaments all over the country... So yeah, no playing Yu-Gi-Oh in real life for me :/ Same reason I dropped out of the meta and stuff, there is no place for me to play yu-gi-oh tbh :/ Like else I would be the underdog playing some weird fun deck but yeah thats not happening :/ Edit: About the new set, i read this online: "To sum it up, out of 3 cases (36 boxes) we've obtained 7 brionacs, 8 trishulas, 6 valkyrus and 10 maiyosenju. It's a small sample, but you could get an idea from that. Other cards are really easy to get, mirrors, clausolas, unicore, kamas and etc we've roughly 40-50ish of each." Damn thats quite rare XD Currently searching for a deck that I might pick up irl.
