Roleplay F.A.Q.
- Fantasy, Sci Fi, and Historical are my genres. Fantasy being my favorite and Sci Fi/Historical being close seconds.

- I generally write at the 'Advanced Level' meaning 4+ Paragraphs with good grammar.

Ben the Fighter
Ben's day had been mostly uneventful other than the nice meal Aud had given him. She'd always seemed kind to him. But he spent the rest of his meal, and indeed the rest of his day in quiet and thoughtfulness. He enjoyed his alone time, though something about this 6th day made him feel a bit more sociable. He wasn't entirely sure why, but he felt it. Getting up, he did his best to use some water to wash his thick and unruly hair, and headed over to the cafeteria to grab something else to eat. He found Audrianna and Robert chatting it up, and Aud doing the feeding as usual. Ben's voice was a bit hoarse, but pleasant. "Morning." he said with a wave as he walked in casually. He sat down next to them and gave a smile in further greeting.

@GuntherSAWs are simply a certain type of LMG to my knowledge. Though I guess there was a certain light machine gun that was previously designated as a Squad Automatic Weapon.

The Elf had to admit he felt some satisfaction watching his arrow sink into the creature as if it had struck (albeit soft) flesh. Hopefully that had been a wound. Unfortunately, the second arrow having been shot seemed to simply fly through the creature, though his aim was as superb as usual. Still, it wasn't enough and this creature was taking far too long to die.
He desperately wished he still had his blade Stargleam. It would make short work of this creature, judging by how Thomas had categorized the beast. The blade had been made with a divine enchantment, and would have been the bane of the skeletons as well. Do not linger on what ifs, he bade himself. Calanon would love to shoot more arrows into this beast if it would work, but he knew they wouldn't.
"Brogach!" he called just as the monster was sending its tendrils towards the prone and unmoving Sana. If he couldn't harm the creature, he would make sure that no one was harmed by it as much as he could. He kicked his steed hurriedly and firmly (but not hard) into bounds and leaps toward Sana. He placed his weapons upon Brogach as he did so and did his best to lower himself to see if he could grab her. If not, he'd hop down and place her on Brogach for a quick escape.

This role is how I interpreted their purpose as well. These tasks can be taken from SAS, SEALs, Rangers or LRSD.
When I think of Shock Troops, as suggested to @POOHEAD189 I think more of the role of US Marines or Royal Marines. They are the breaching element attacking ahead of the rest of the unit. These Mandalorians are wearing a heavy armor unlike their Rebel Alliance counterparts in the other two platoons.
This is exactly what I was thinking.
@BananaWell, seeing as you're surrounded within their home turf, and these Elves fight Demons for a living, it would be quite hard. Not to mention that others in your team might not join you.
