30 years have passed since the last Pirate King roamed the seas. Monkey D. Luffy and his band of merry men were notorious throughout the world for traversing the mysterious Grand Line, conquering the New World and obtaining the truth about the origins of both the World Government and the network of sailors who call themselves, Pirates. Towards the end of his journey, Luffy had obtained the respect of many islands and focused his attention on cleaning up the seas of those who he deemed to be 'bad'. However, although he managed to rid the world of many evil Pirates and Marines alike, the world inevitably keeps turning and history continues to repeat itself in the form of new dreamers setting sail onto the greatest sea in the world. Not long after he ascended to the seat of Pirate King, the greatest crew in the world simply vanished. Without a trace or word, there was nobody left alive who could account for the whereabouts of the Straw-Hats, some hypothesized that in order to live a peaceful life the Straw-Hats had took it upon themselves to flee to Raftel, or one of the Sky-Islands, where they would forever remain undisturbed till the end of their days. On the year of the turtle, Luffy declared that he had left the greatest treasure ever to have existed, One Piece, in its rightful place, waiting there for the next crew who were destined to become the new kings of the sea. Ushering the world into the next era, whispers float through the Grand Line and the Blues, the seat of Pirate-King is once again up for grabs and those who seek power, fame and fortune are once again sailing towards their dreams.

The race for One Piece has once again, begun.

Premise
Romance Dawn is a semi-sandbox type role play based on One Piece. You will be part of a single crew of rookie pirates starting in the South Blue. After some time in the four blues, and we'll move on to tackle the Grand Line itself. More emphasis would be directed towards sailing and the journey in between islands. Improving your ship via parts and upgrades will be options granted to you. Goals throughout the story would probably include improving your skills and abilities, amassing wealth beyond your imaginations, become infamous beyond measure, and engraving your name in history to name a few. Be as cunning as Law, reckless as Luffy, profane as Bartholomeo, or as merciless and bloodthirsty as Kid or Akainu; your choice really.

Race: You may create your own as long as you provide some information regarding them. No giants or giant-variants though.

If you want to have secrets and a bit of drama for your character, PM me the details.

Abilities: Listed under this would be the things your character would be proficient in. Some examples would include fighting styles, weapon-wielding, carpentry, navigation, a special weapon, and powers granted by Devil Fruits. To promote the blossoming of creative geniuses as yourselves, we won't be creating lists of specific techniques or moves anymore. Instead, with each ability, you will provide a general description of what it allows your character to do; that itself would act as a limiter of some sorts. You are free to do whatever you want as long as it is within the scope of your abilities. Throughout the RP, these abilities will gradually and constantly become better. When achievements are and certain milestones are reached, you will be allowed to to add more facets/aspects to your abilities or improve already existing ones. You start with a maximum of four (4). Keep them bulleted to make things easier for me.

Inventory: Pertinent weapons, armor, clothing, et cetera.
Others: Miscellaneous items the do not go elsewhere. May omit if you have nothing to put here.

Item Tiers
From swords to ships, cannons to hull plating, awesome sails to flintlock pistols, everything has a quality level. A tier if you will. For example, a Tier 2 sword will be better than a Tier 1 sword. It may be sharper or tougher or have jewels in it's hilt or whatever, but something will set it apart from a regular old Tier 1 sword. The same can be said for most anything in this world. Some things are simply better. And you know you only want the best, rarest, most ass kicking stuff don't you? Well here's a handy list of what you can expect from the tiers:

Tier 1 [Ordinary]
The stuff you can find in any market.
Tier 2 [Uncommon]
The stuff you'd be lucky to find in that one overly friendly man's market stall.
Tier 3 [Special]
Things you'd find in specialty shops that cater to specific purposes.
Tier 4 [Rare] 
Things that specialty shops try to out bid each other on.
Tier 5 [Epic]
These are the kind of things the wealthy pay huge sums of money for so they can put it on a shelf and just look at it for hours. Very high quality.
Tier 6 [Legendary]
Things in this realm tend to be a higher tier for more than just their quality. These are items that have a history. The sails of a famous pirates ship for example.
Tier 7 [Mythical]
Things that have achieved, or have been used to achieve, incredible feats. Items of impeccable quality, with a history to match. Some of these things have literally helped forge the world as we know it.
Tier 8 [Dream-like] 
Actually seeing one of these items is pretty much unheard of. These are the sort of things the great Pirate King and his crew might once have used.

Alright, NPC captain it is, but I'm gonna let you guys decide. I'll give more info on the one that gets picked.

"What's a beauty like you doing in a rotten place like this?"

Known most not for being a gambler, alcoholic, and womaniser, but a thief by occupation; and rather talented one at that. Although he appears laid-back and happy-go-lucky, he has escaped from prisons for over a dozen times. Now, Sunny has set his eyes on the treasure everyone has sought for, One Piece. The wealth he could attain with it was too good to pass up."

"Listen up. The one's who's gonna be queen of the pirates, is me."
The reason behind Mary's life of piracy was due to neglect from her husband. What initially started out as a mere cry for attention turned into a burning passion. Leaving her past behind, she now aims to rule the seas as the next Pirate Queen.

"Lemme hear it again! Who wer ya callin', a fuckin', fish?!"

Mako is a young fishwoman who was promised a life of thrill and adventure, but instead she was sent to the underground fighting arenas in the South Blue. Managing to punch her way out, she now hopes to get the adventure she was longing for.
