Guardian Hero Academy

 Omega Power! 

The Guardian Hero Academy is the leading hero academy in America, and has only recently taken the ranking of second best Hero Academy in the world, usurping Russias top school last year. Guardian Highschool is dedicated to taking in the best and brightest of the new generation, hoping to mold and guide the protectors of the new age. The Academy employs a talented, powerful staff of pro-heroes, and is outfitted with some of the best and most advanced equipment in the world, to match. The Academy offers basic high school courses, though is much more lax than it's Japenese counterparts, pushing heroism as the top priority always. At the beginning of the year, students can expect to find tests that will determine both their physical and quirk abilities. 

This year, the Academy announced a new project that will involve the creation of the schools very own, on-campus superhero team, The Guardians. In a play for U.A's spot at the top, hoping that putting together a full team of pro-heroes would get them there. The actual members of the team will be announced at the end of the year, and will be one of the three Prodigy classes, 0-1, 0-2, or 0-3. Guardian Academy took eighteen recommendation students, comprised of prodigious students recommended from the top hero prep programs in the country, or the various scouting agencies that the school employs. Some of the children may even have ties to pro-heroes themselves. As well eighteen of the brightest and most talented children throughout America, students with the highest scores on all the mock tests, the most impressive quirks, and an express interest in being heroes, otherwise the children who showed the most potential. The Academy split these thirty-six children into three groups, each class having six recommendation students and six non-recs. The class which shows the most overall promise will be selected as the members of the Guardians.

1. Your quirks will be assigned to you, while some quirks will be more customizable than others, you are free to determine how you use them, and what they do to an extent.

2. Character development and building will be a large part of the RP, and while I do have things planned, I would love to see your ideas and the things you guys create. If you guys have any big ideas or things you would like to see, please share or PM me!

5. This RP is going to be taking place in the U.S, in order to shy away from most canon content.

I expect post length to vary quite a lot, though I would prefer a higher post rate and shorter posts, if you can't manage to post longer ones often. Post what you are comfortable with, and can keep in good quality (Though I don't expect anything under five lines, under any circumstances.) This goes especially for those who will be playing more than one character, as I know it's likely I will be needing a few (Or more) of you to be playing multiple characters for the class to be filled, which is a requirement before beginning. If you can't post super often, that is completely understandable, so long as you can post at least three or four times a week. 

While this is a school RP, your characters will only attend hero classes, as well as any school events that take place. Other than that, I hope for the RP to be filled with exploration of the school and town, missions, battles, romance, and especially high school drama! While there will be plenty of time where the characters are guided and follow a streamlined path, I'd also like there to be all types of sandbox type fun! 

The class will contain twelve students in all, with six recommendations spots, the initial two are first come first serve, while the remaining four will be reserved for those who discuss and create their characters with me, so PM me! Recommended students (obviously) must have a reason for their recommendation, usually things such as prodigious talent, outstanding quirks, or knowing the right people, often a combination of the three.

Redwing is a veteran rescue hero, who has been doing hero work for fourteen years. Redwing was a major success, one of the greatest and most well-known American heroes of all time, and an icon to known and aspiring female heroes everywhere. Redwing has been teaching at Guardian high for nine years now, being the longest standing staff member besides the principle. She now acts full-time as a teacher at Guardian, retiring from hero work earlier this year. 

Quirk

Solar Battery: Redwing's body acts as a battery for solar energy, which powers Redwings quirk. Redwing can store up to three hours of energy at full charge, and a full charge takes roughly two hours in direct, intense sunlight. Her quirk allows her to manipulate and create small, circular disks of light, which can be used for a variety of fashions. 

Abilities

Walkin' on Sunshine: Redwing she stands on two disks of energy, which she manipulates for flight. 

Solar Flare: Redwing expels all stored solar energy in an omnidirectional blast, knocking her unconscious in the process. The power of the blast varies, depending on how much energy Redwing has stored.

Quad was a graduate from U.A high, starting his hero career in Japan, after rising to fame as one of the only pro, trans-male heroes in Japan. After a three-year career in Japan, Quad moved to the U.S, where he was quickly offered a teaching position at Guardian, this is his first year teaching. 

Quirk

Quad-ceps: Quad's mutation quirk grants him four superhumanly strong arms. Each arm is capable of lifting and throwing around massive objects.

Quad-Wave: Quad slams together all four palms, creating a massive shockwave shooting forward.

Hero Bio

Echo is a fairly new hero, he exploded into the pro-hero business merely two years ago. His high levels of skill with his quirk brought him quick fame, and a name that stayed on the tips of everyone's tongues ensured that it spread like wildfire. After only eight months as a pro, Echo claimed the spot of the tenth hero in the country, reaching top ten nearly a year faster than any previously seen hero. Echo currently resides as number nine on the hero charts, and is no doubt one of the fastest growing stars.

Quirk

Pulse: Echo is able to create short, pulsing bursts of concussive energy from his hands and feet, as well as his chest. These blasts of energy take the shape of pulsing yellow rings, and are best used in short to mid-range combat, as they lose force the further they travel. Echo is also able to use these pulses to increase his mobility and agility greatly.
Abilities

Surge: Echo's basic blast ability, he releases a concussive pulse of energy from his palm.

Thud: Echo releases a pulse from his fist as he strikes, increasing damage and knockback. 

Thump: Echo kicks something, usually an enemy, while releasing a pulse from his foot, resulting in increased damage and knockback. 

Impulse: Echo releases a massive pulse from his chest, much more powerful than any he could produce from his hands or feet.

Mega-Step: Echo releases large pulses from both feet as he leaps, resulting in a monstrous jump.

Tempo: Echo directs his pulses towards the ground using his hands and feet, allowing him to move around at a highly accelerated rate, essentially "bouncing" from pulse to pulse.  

Stutter-Step: Echo releases small pulses in his feet, vastly increasing his running speed.

Thirteen is a sneaky hero, vastly preferring to outsmart and outgun his enemies with preparation, a solid plan, and his powerful quirk rather than rush head on into battle. Usually more serious and grave than others, often being referred to as grumpy, XIII is no doubt a powerful hero, who tends to be a bit brutal to the criminals. He broke onto the pro-hero scene six years ago, going pro after a short six-month career as a sidekick, this is his third year teaching at Guardian.

Quirk

Charge: XIII is able to generate a moldable, silicone rubber like substance from his skin, though is able to produce it with the most ease from his palms, fingertips, and knuckles, as well as his saliva. This rubber is highly explosive and extremely sticky, able to be stuck onto nearly any substance or surface, and detonated remotely. The power of the explosion depends on the amount of rubber applied, and the longer the rubber ages the more powerful it becomes.  Rubber "deactivates"  twenty-four hours after it is created, meaning Thirteen must reactivate the rubber with his saliva.

Abilities

Clink!: Thirteen squeezes his right hand into a fist while making a clicking sound with his tongue, remotely detonating any rubber of his choice.

Clank!: Thirteen squeezes his left hand into a fist while making a clicking sound with his tongue, detonating all active rubber. 

Bang: Thirteen secretes a thin layer of rubber from his knuckles, increasing the power of his punches.

Hero Gear

Big Boom: XIII carries four large, aged clumps of rubber in his costume, each clump carrying enough explosive power to bring level a building in a single blast.

Secretion Gear: Thirteen's costume is made out of a custom material, which allows his to generate his rubber through the gloves, boots, and chest piece of his costume.

Glacier began his hero career eight years ago graduating from Guardian Academy himself. With his flashy quirk and high levels of power, it wasn't difficult for Glacier to make it to the big leagues. After five years of professional heroing, Glacier decided to take on responsibilities at Guardian Academy, being extremely enthusiastic about teaching the next generation of heroes, this is his third year teaching at the academy.

Quirk

Iceberg: Glacier possesses a mutation type quirk, which quite literally turns his entire body into extremely dense, highly impervious solid ice. Glacier has no internal organs, and in fact doesn't even require oxygen to survive, meaning that his durability is extremely high, and he is completely invulnerable to air, and ice based attacks, as well as having a high resistance to water. However, due to Glacier's ice form, he must not overheat, or risk melting. Thankfully, due to his sheer hulking size, Glacier is able to stay in heat for several hours, so long as temperatures do not exceed 120 degrees, Fahrenheit.  Glacier's quirk grants him substantial superhuman strength, speed, and endurance, as well as giving him the ability to expunge icicles from his hands.

Sleet: Glacier stomps his foot, causing a thin sheet of ice to shoot out in front of him, slipping up opponents. 

Icicle: Glacier releases a single icicle from his palm, this ability cannot be used in rapid succession, as each use lowers his body temperature fifteen degrees. 

Hurricane: Glacier releases a large gust of icy air, capable of cutting opponents skin.

Hero Gear 

Cold Regulator: Glacier carries a small device which regulates his temperature, and allows him to endure heats of up to 400 degrees.

Mr. Octopus, Tentacles.

Hero Bio

Octo is the sixth hero in America, having been in the hero business for the better part of eleven years now. His rise to fame wasn't a quick one, spending two years as a sidekick before even going pro. Though as Octo's skill and power with his mutation quirk grew so did his fame. After six years as a hero, Octo decided to take a role at Guardian High School, where he's been teaching for three years now. 

Quirk

Octo has the lower body of an octopus and possesses eight monstrously large tentacles, which are lined with powerful suckers. Octo uses the tentacles to move, and each tentacle possesses beyond superhuman strength. Because of his quirk, Octo is only able to stay outside of a body of water for eight hours at aa time, before having to be resubmerged fully in water for a two hour period.

@BubblegumQueen @Iatos Well, I tried to only give the basics of the ability, so you guys could mold them. Some are definitely going to be more customizable than others, plus there are only three quirks so far so there's not going to be a whole ton of variety yet. I wanted to leave room for everyone to be able to make quirks for the pool, but I think I'm just going to go ahead and start writing up some more. I planned on adding some more common seen abilities, as well as mutation type quirks into the pool, if I ended up writing more, so hopefully, I'll be able to make some stuff you guys like. 

@Mr Allen J Well, I want the levels of power to vary from character to character, like in the show, you can clearly see the levels of power everyone possesses and can group them accordingly, y'know? This will obviously take into consideration more than just the quirks raw power, paying thought to experience and talent, as well as brains and the ability to plan, ECT ECT. It will all depend on how you use your abilities, is basically what I'm saying. The more creative you are the better, as all abilities are bound to have different limits.

@vancexentan I know, I just hadn't officialy decided whether I was going to be using the Quirk Pool or not, so I wanted to alert you that the IC was going to be made somewhat soon, but I think at this point it's a definite. Well, sorry to see you leave. :/

I think at this point it honestly boils down to lack of variety in the abilities which I will do my best to solve. I really hope you guys will be satisfied with the Quirk Pool in the end, and I'll continue to ask you what you think about them as I create them, most likely in batches of three. 

Edit: @Uno That really isn't what I had in mind. I suppose it could work, but if we were going to do it that way I think I'd honestly just prefer to give everyone complete control of their Quirk. 

Also, probably taking out the Elemental Armaments.
