Uminekoverse is pretty fun. It's pretty much a huge metagame revolving around mysteries. In fact, there's a code that falls in line with common mystery stories. Things like, "the detective can't be the killer", "the criminal has to be someone we heard of before", "no preforming seances to chat with the victim and figure out who did it from there", etc.
Edit 2: I've got a better one - Fate/Puella Magi. "Fate as a slave of the magi (Puella can mean "Slave")."
That works.
There actually are quite a few Grail wars.
I remember this one Grail War that ended in everyone getting arrested for murder.
Also, I'd be up for co-GMs, but I've got another idea. How about... a voting system for allowing new characters? When someone posts a character sheet, we all voice our opinions on it and if it should be allowed. If a majority of us think it should be allowed, they're in! If not, they'll have to either revise it or scrap it entirely. Sounds good?
Mmmm... Probably not. I can see where you're coming from, but it sort of reeks. There's a trust system to be had, and if at least one person isn't trusting of another, the system breaks. For one, all it would take is a concentrated vote for or against a character conducted by several people and it's not even a proper vote but rather bias. The polls would also mean that the person being voted on will have a say and will try to vote in their favor. Another thing is for those who hate voting, they would simply throw things into total anarchy by purposefully tying the votes every time. Trust me, I've actually seen that happen before. Not everything that works for the government works for RPGs. This idea is going to fail to work. The only way it can work is if the party that's voting is limited. I've seen that happen before, and for the most part, the system works. Five people vote yes or no on something, and it's been working for a while.
I had a lot of free time on my hands, so I fleshed out the platoon of expendable Shadow Eternity mooks attacking the Neo-Umbrella site. Don't know why I did it, it was just on a whim.
I note none of them were about to retire after this mission, so they don't hit all the Redshirt traits :p
But one of the agent's friends has something to tell them once they get back from the mission.
... I'm pretty hyped right now.
I'm not one of those GMs who has (or lets) villains destroy and murder in lighthearted settings in crossovers just to show how evil they are.
Well, considering the player's missing (heh, Mario is Missing), I guess I should reveal what I would have had Eternal do: Kidnap the Princess, thus (OOC) giving Mario incentive to join in fighting to save her.
And I'll do my rebuttal...
As soon as the Toads came through, Eternal activated the Dimension Memory's Maximum Drive again and went back to HQ, where he answered to the demands from the Leader. "My apologies, your majesty. I merely thought an attack would best suit our needs." Eternal spoke.
Dan saw people around him transform. Some into armored heroes, others into magical girls. He held the Switch in hand. "Now... make your wish upon the stars..." A voice called to him. "... I wish to be a hero!" Dan thought. He then shouted with all his heart: "SWITCH... ON!" With a press of the switch, an aura of dark clouds emerged from his body. A handful of bright blue lights in the shape of an inverted Y were the only things to stand out from the clouds. Three of them was a red light, one top of the inverted Y and one on each of the bottoms. Dan's eyes glowed hot red as the cloud dissipated. Gone was his human appearance. Instead, it was a figure dressed in sleek black body armor, with the shoulders having moldings that resemble a bird's wings. The Inverted Y makes its appearance as a bright red line going down from the neck, branching around at the waist as the two lines go onto the legs. The lights that appeared made their feature in the form of jewel-like circles adorned on the spots where they shined. On his waist was a bigger, larger blue circle, standing out like it was a buckle. The head has no face to speak of, but rather a yellow arrow pointing downwards over a black surface of what appeared to be glass. On the sides of the head were the same bird wing like designs, though where as the wings look closed on the shoulders, the wings look open on the helmet. Its forearms had a similar wing design, though they seem to be the edges of feathers sticking out. This, along with his silver, metallic and sharp hands, give the arms the look of arrows. Those who have known their astronomy would know that it would make sense for a monster based off the constellation, Sagitta, to have arrow-like arms. "I... I did it... I've transformed!" Dan then posed to the flytrap. "LISTEN HERE! MY NAME IS ITEZAKI DAN! OR FOR THIS FIGHT, SAGITTA!"
