Kara O'hara
BGMSurprisingly, a few of the people were rather comforting to Kara. It was as if for a few moments Kara had forgotten the kindness people share with each other. The solace that you can find in other people during times of distress and unrest. Without realising it, the first person she was clinging to was not a person but... a robot? A giant metal robot. Whilst she didn't say anything, Kara was listening in a making sure she could remember roughly what was being said and who everyone was.
At this point is was clear to her. She was in Axis Mundi, but it looked so different, decaying, despair inducing. The robot, Tekhartha held Kara close as if protecting her. Although his face was hidden behind an iron mask, Kara thought for sure she could see a reassuring face. It wasn't too long after but a man bent down to Kara, he appeared only a few years older than her. People referred to him as 'Ice' so it seems that his nickname would tick. Dropping a small piece of candy in her hand. Kara nodded with a smile but was still a little to afraid to speak. She felt the texture of it, she could tell it was a simple sugar sweet. Nothing too special, factory made and sold in bunches of millions, but was a nice thought. Kara pocketed it.
BGMAs if interrupting the somewhat normality of the groups idle discussions, a fearsome noise could be heard. A series of thunderous footsteps like the kind horses make when on racing on TV... But that's impossible, how could...
To her disbelief, four large horse statues with what looked like freakish people riding upon them appeared. At a closer glance, they weren't statues but.. robots? Not the same kind as Tekhartha though, something right out of a science fiction novel. Each one was stylized slightly different, clutching a different weapon with unique personality plastered on too. The group was rounded up with several others and directed towards a large room...
To summarize, Kara and several other infinities were now kept in the confines of Axis Mundi, with no contact to the outside. A lunatic bear as their new doctor and four freakish robots as their nurses. If they disobeyed any of the rules... Who knows what would happen so it's best just to obey.
It wasn't all bad. Everything seemed to be provided for them... The only glaring issue is that if anybody truly wanted to leave so badly... They'd have to kill for it. The thought to kill would could never cross Karas' mind, but the fear of someone else doing it... It left a sickening sensation in her stomach. Placing her hand on her stomach she could feel the small candy that Ice gave her earlier, pulling it out, she was reminded of kindness she was shown upon being released to this despair inducing place. She held it tightly. Assuring herself that nobody could possibly think about killing someone else... Could they? The infinites were then escorted to their rooms where a special gift was waiting for them.
BGMHmm.. Kara's room was... Interesting. Her bed was the usual hospital bed she was used to. The walls were a better shade of white and weren't chipping in places, if they were, there was a picture of foreign country on the wall trying to hide it. There was even a small table with a few chairs, a small tea set with wax pieces of cake. In the corner was a small black box with red ribbon tying it together nicely. Opening it up it seemed to be some kind of Make-Up Mirror, but it didn't have any makeup. There was comb inside and room for something else. Kara placed it back in the box. It was sudden, but she could feel the tiredness of her body tingle around her legs. Undressing from her outfit, she laied in bed wearing some simple clothes she found in the room, opting to get some rest.
Maybe this is all a big dream... Well, a big nightmare I suppose. Hopefully I'll wake up tomorrow and everything will be fine. Yeah! When I wake up I'll even make a giant stack of pancakes! Climbing into bed, she accidentally bumped one of her travel guides off, the same one she had been reading in bed before this entire incident. Shrugging it off, Kara managed to fall asleep rather quickly despite the intensity of it all. Maybe it was all too much for her.
BGMThe morning... Was it really the morning? There was no way to tell because there was no windows. Kara laid along her bed wondering what to do. To her despair, she hadn't awoken from the nightmare but was still having it. Reaching for her E-Handbook she swiped along to find the map. Sitting around scared in her room wasn't going to ease her pain. Instead she needed to get out and hold onto her hope. Unsure of where to go she decided to make her way break room in hopes of finding something to eat for breakfast. Perhaps she could even make something for everyone. Pocketing her E-Handbook and the small candy given to her by Ice, she bravely left her room with what courage she had.
