Miri was already panting and puffing from the effort of keeping the shield up. She moves her eyes down to Aldrich as he spoke. "Wh--I can't move it, if that's what you're asking. The others need it. Just...huff...Keep your back to the shield. And yes, I can heal, but I'm not dropping the shield for that. Not just yet. After."

The horned woman seemed to be tiring quickly. If the goblins didn't flee soon, she'd be out of energy to cast, and she'd be forced to drop the shield.
Olive relaxed as Willow answered her question. On one hand, her not-parents know her and expect a symathetic parent-daughter bond she won't be able to reciprocate due to simply not knowing them...but on the other hand, at least her sudden appearance didn't wipe anyone else out of existance.

The cat-girl started passing out tablets--the stone kind, not the iPad kind--and Olive soon found one in her hands. With the way it was lighting up, it may as well have been the iPad kind, though. She studied the information on the front of it, squinting at a few things and briefly adjusting her spectacles. Wait, when did those get there? She took them off to examine them for a moment, then simply shook her head and put them back on.

A large number glowed on the tablet's surface. "YO!!" A voice pierced through the crowd, causing the elf to wince. "Does anyone in this Starbucks have the number ONE?!" Olive peeked down at her number...then glanced over to the man that had just threatened to remove her ears moments ago. She opted for silence, and held her tablet close to her chest.
Miri grunted as she slid off of her horse, not being one for physical exercise. As the goblins started pouring forth--one, two, three...uh, seven...oh dear--she held her hands out and focused her energy on the shieldnto move it lower, so the goblins would have to climb over the four foot tall conjuration. A more agile looking goblin simply vaulted over with his spear, but Miri briefly moved a hand to zap it mid-air and send it hurtling backward. It didn't seem too bothered by it, though, and simply got up again.
Yes, we're waiting on me. I was holding off so that Garland may get a post in, but I'm also now dealing with the fact we have no water. Our house is a duplex, and the people who moved out (more likely they were kicked out for shafting the landlord for the upstairs apartment by taking his money and not finishing repairs when the ceiling collapsed in our kitchen because of a flood) were responsible for the water bill as part of their lease. Landlord was supposed to put the bill in his name, but he never did, and because of it we have no water. Apologies, but I just haven't had any luck these past few days. I'm trying, but it has been rough lately.

tl;dr: waiting for garland to post, house water supply shut off for reasons unrelated directly to us. will still try to post.

Oof. Yeah, that's...bad. >.<
So, erm, who're we waiting on?
Miri let a heavy breath out her nose. "I'm hesitant to turn our backs to them. And my barrier's only going to cover the one side, so we may have to cover our backs, if they go around. Now..." She closed her eyes and steadied her breathing, before holding her hands out before her. A shimmering wall of golden magic suddenly solidifies itself between her allies and the goblins, about six feet wide by four feet tall. It's not perfect, but it's better than nothing. "Whew...Been a while since I did that."
I think it's okay. Since we're not that far into it, let's just switch Miri to the group going after the boy and the blind monk to the group headed into the Blackmarsh. That should work out better since the Blackmarsh players seem to have a slower posting rate.

I'll try to get my own In Character post in tonight. :)

Blorgh. Alright. Sorry, I'm still half-asleep. >.< I deleted my old post before reading this, then rewrote it as best I could from memory. But hokay, I'm with the other guys now, np.
I thought Miri was in the other group with the ghosts?

I...don't honestly know anymore. >.< I'm a bit lost, tbh. I've always had trouble with jumping in the middle of a scene for this exact reason. I just repled to the half-orc, because he replied to Miri.
Olive perked up as someone else stepped close to speak to her. He had a similar elven physiology, save for dark blue skin, which struck her as a bit odd...though everything here was odd in some way or another. "Hey, ease up. Not like things can get any worse. Does physical relationship factor in here? If thats so, we could be cousins."

Olive stammered for a moment, unable to focus on finding the English speaking part of her brain with a strange creature in her face. Eventually, she found that casually closing her eyes and brushing hair out of her face to (poorly) feign nonchalance worked to help her train of thought. "I-I, ah...ahem, I don't know. I'm still...adjusting. You're new here, too?" She paused, then, "You do bring up a good point, though. Do I have, l-like...elf-parents? Are they like my real parents, or...just some people I don't know? Was this elf I am now somebody else before I died? Did I just take someone's bo--" Olive closed her eyes and let out a sharp breath. She took a few moments to regain her composure, then craned her neck up and shouted toward Willow. "Do we have families here?" A simple question, but one that'd likely have an interesting answer, no matter which way you slice it.
I found a pic you might like but idk how to show you as it's on my phone =/
