@TheWendil I see. I was mostly just asking for a little clarification:
"acting as a means of concealment by the machine."
Making sure it wasn't just pure blindness/invisability. But as for the radius, I suppose 5 is fine. Accepted.
@KoL Thanks for the explanation. Google wasn't any help with that term, but then again; I was in a bit of a rush and should've added 'gundam' along with it. Again, I didn't watch the show. So I may be a bit slow a few concepts; sorry. I was just making sure you weren't deploying Death Stars or more mini Gearframes. Accepted.
Looks mostly fine. A question or two though. What exactly do you mean by "support funnel"? Like drones or turrets? I feel like 24 might be a little much turrets to deploy at once, though better clarification might be alright.
5 miles in all directions is a rather large area; especially if you're trying to freeze everyone in the area. And are you saying you can see out but other machines can't see in? I might suggest to make that low visibility for all; again, especially if it covers 5 miles.
Also another small change from one of my goofs. Overdrive abilities are given one charge per official match and recharge when they defeat another student.
• Overdrive Ability: Standard starting ability based on Gearframe model. May be changed IC through special means. Overdrives hold one charge at the start of any official match; only recharging after defeating another Gearframe.
@Keyblade87 Frankly, either/any visual is suitable with the virtual limitations. Just so its a robot that goes boom :3
Though, I may personally stick towards western style for generic enemies or what have I. The leaders of the factions for example have more anime-esque mechs.
GSR is a state of the art learning institution backed by one of the most advanced military tech companies in the world. Their school is a self sufficient, self contained series of buildings complete with their own private, secured servers. Dorms are available on site to allow students and staff the ease of travel from class to class.
Each student has a VR set installed in their private dorms. Connecting them to the server in their new avatar body. This is mostly for hanging with other students, shopping, studying, and Gearframe training and maintenance. Each student that logs in spawns in Central City. The main hub for all activities available to students. Outside the city, access to each of the battle maps used in competitions are available to explore and train within their Gearframes. Three bases can be found, one for the Orange Spiders deep in the Swamp battle map and one located within the castle walls of the Medieval battle map.
Swamp: A waterlogged forest with tall trees to obstruct sight lines. Standing water restricts movement. Desert: A large, flat area of shifting sand. Medieval: A mysterious castle is hidden within the fog in the backdrop of a large flat field. City: Narrow streets criss-cross in a grid pattern with towering buildings blocking any view into the other lanes. Beach Soft sand covers half this battlefield while the other is taken by deep ocean. Plateau The most famous of the battle maps; an arena sized, flat battleground makes for excellent 1x1 fights.
In addition to training with their Gearframes, students are encouraged to challenge each other in official matches for points. Points that can be used for upgrades for a student's Gearframe, but are also collectively gathered by each faction to fight for the right to be at the top of the hierarchy. Students receive a number of perks related to their ranking. Special privileges that seem to just appear with no known sender.

Factions
To emphasize the strive for a better world, Gwenton divides their student body into three groups. In hopes this would push for friendly competition among the students to incentivize them to work harder; Gwenton has, perhaps unexpectedly, created a ruling hierarchy that has taken over the school. A flawed system that remains in place thanks to the overwhelmingly success it creates; only a few of the school's staff actually remember when all students weren't bound by their colors alone. When their factions represented more than the darkness in their leaders hearts.
This year is the fourth year under their leader, and their fourth year as the school's highest ranked faction. Not much is known about their leader, though her Queen piece Yuka, is often seen running solo missions throughout the virtual space. Often considered the actual face of this faction, all duties normally handled by the faction leader is handled by her instead. This is the only faction who's public base cannot be found. The rest of the student body either prey for the other groups or forming small groups of their own. Yet despite their lack of structure, no one can seem to figure out how they finish each year in the lead; reserving their right to rule for another year.
The "Orange Team" as they collectively go by, despite somewhere down the line changing themselves to represented as the Spiders, has been lead by The Queen for the last four years. Rumors say she's been head of the orange team for longer, but that can't be right as she would have had to graduated by now. This faction always boasted the greatest teamwork; always coming out on top of the most impossible matches and always popular in becoming the ruling class for the next year, yet always coming up short when the Ravens take first place. Still, they continue to show dominance on the scoreboard. Almost always featured as some of the school's best students.
Ditching their color and chosen mascot; they consider themselves the Empire more than any other team name. Their leader has ruled this faction confidently for the last four years. They sport the fewest number of students, but even then, they come out on top of most of their matches. Winning nearly every match officially handed to them, they mysteriously end up in last at the end of every year. Most speculate it is just that their numbers are so low; but disgruntled alumni blame it on their leader for being as absent as the Raven's. That is until, she actually makes contact with you; in which case it has been said you're better off going back to your parents.
Gearframe Styles and Models.
Gearframes come in three styles; Sword, Gun, and Shield. While any gearframe can equip any of the three; their specialty will be in which ever style they choose. Sword style benefiting close combat maneuvers, while Gun style charges and locks on easier. Shield styles known for having the higher defense while sporting more utilitarian options. To complement the styles, each Gearframe is designed with one of six models as a basis of its build. Each with a special Overdrive ability to aid in the virtual world.
The melee focused style of the virtual world. Sword users boast higher foot and boost speeds. Able to use their dexterity to their advantage when in combat with another Gearframe. Quoted to be one of the "most efficient design choices" available to students, the Sword style is an excellent choice for the average student. With a blade that can pierce almost anything, the only draw backs are the typical range of the fighter and the sturdiness of the machine itself; often needing to be repaired after every major battle if not rebuilt in its entirety.
The dominant style in ranged warfare, this style boasts high accuracy and larger energy discharge per shot with all non-melee weapons. This style usually comes with enhanced computer systems as well to allow for easier target locking and other utility options. Though, the Gearframes usually are bigger by consequence. Having to hold extra energy cells and computer processioning units, there isn't much room to convert the extra bulk into anything but a hindrance. None of the defense for the size, and too rigid to maneuver sharply. But on a battlefield as large as they often find themselves in; rarely do their opponents have the time to get close before they're blasted apart.
This style is known for their defensive bulk. Able to take a few hits before falling completely; their mobility is their only real drawback, though their offensive capabilities tend to be mediocre at best. Users of this style more often than not fill a niche roll in their squad or team. Offering multiple utility options, most commonly their Energy barrier. Able to project a shield in front of them designed to disperse large blasts of energy that come into contact with it. Commonly used in pairs with users of the Sword Style to help them get in close.
In addition to which style each Gearframe is set with; there are 4 available models the student body can choose from. Pawns being the most versatile of the bunch; they're mostly used for fodder more than anything. Lacking any real power compared to the other three models. Knights have always been a favorite for rushing down and moving around the battlefield; most students that like to ride their Gearframes outside of combat choose this. Bishops and Rooks are the favorite among most; parallels of each other in some regards.
Holder of unlimited potential its a choice of either the try hards or the stupid. Their only saving grace is that they are only worth 1 point when defeated. Allowing them to be used for unimportant tasks freely without having to worry about spending too much resources to get a job done. Pawns however only hold one available Drive ability. This simple design means that they can use it freely and often.
Overdrive ability: On board backup systems repair all damage to this Gearframe, making it fit for combat without delay.
Knights are the middle ground units, able to fill many different roles. To help in their coverage, they hold two slots for drive abilities that can be used pretty regular. This added flexibility makes them worth an extra point on the score card, worth 2 points when defeated.
Overdrive ability: Booster jets expend an extra burst of power; sending the Gearframe flying in any direction with great speed; allowing them to evade even some of the fastest of attacks.
A whopping 3 points on the scorecard when defeated, the price comes with added power. 3 drive slots granted to them but with prolonged recharge. Only able to fire off any specific ability again only after some time has passed. Whether offensive or supportive drives are installed, a bishop is always a high target on the battlefield.
Overdrive ability: Residual energy pool together to reset all drive cooldowns.
The most valuable piece available to the student body, Rooks are worth 4 points when defeated. A high price not many see the benefit in trading off for. Rooks only have two drive slots available to them, and a prolonged recharge before they are able to reuse their abilities. However, their biggest asset is in their reliance of their Overdrive ability. Letting them separate their pockets of gathered energy into two charges of their Overdrive ability.
Overdrive ability: Stored energy maximizes speed above all else. While not launching the Gearframe in any one direction like the Knight, the Rook can move at nearly double the average speed without compromising control.

I know I said I'd have it up probably today, but I'm admittedly a bit behind schedule. It'll be up either late today or sometime tomorrow though, so thanks for waiting. :3
