Bio

Y'all can call me Bard.

I've been RPing for about 15 years now.

I'm also an aspiring novelist and an avid writer of short stories.

I believe hardship and bad karma (regardless of how much good one does) are necessary for character development, aptly explained by a well selling writer:
"Be a sadist. No matter how sweet and innocent your leading characters, make awful things happen to them—in order that the reader may see what they are made of." —Kurt Vonnegut

Boredbrain did say people were allowed to interact with others that have posted their convos with The Father. I'm still working at mine for right now, but this thread is not forgotten.
I'm almost done doing up my character sheet, but I have some questions: In the info text, it says Apox was only used for ten years - which means 2090-2100 - yet on the sheet it asks for year locked up which is given the time frame of 2090-3000. Was there a typo somewhere? Particularly since, it reads to me, that the RP will be taking place sometime around 2245.
Is there something I'm misunderstanding

Edit 4 hours later: Also, to make sure I understand this, it is both a holding facility until the criminal has been tried, and a housing facility for certain criminals after sentencing, yes?
All right, I assumed that was the case but I wanted to verify for my own clarification. I still have a bunch of characters that are "destroy society" based. I have one final question now, and that is would it be okay if - when you post up the character sheets - I submit two or three for you to choose from? I think that might work out best than myself trying to decide since you have already stated that you will be picking 'the best choices for the RP' anyways.
I am definitely interested in this, but I have a question.

I know you have said several times wanting to see the world burn, but what about the villains that wish for world domination/supreme ruler types? I ask because I have a plethora of villainous characters that could work here, however some of them are willing to spend no expense reducing the world to ash if that is what it takes to control it.

I will admit that I have not participated in any advanced threads on this site, but I am an aspiring novelist, so I definitely would love to give it a shot - especially a thread like this.
A sigh diminished some of Ariel's smile. "As I have said before, I am not royalty," she stated. It was finally starting to occur to her that no matter how much she protested Walker's title for her as princess, he would not stop. The smile completely faded, making way for a concerned final glance, when she noticed the shift in his smile. Protest as he would, when they got back to the Apollo cabin she would be investigating that bump.

"We should make haste. It seems this is an urgent matter." She didn't want to cause alarm with anyone yet, although it seemed that the conversation she assumed to be somewhat quiet was overheard by many. Turning promptly, she started off, paused to glance over her shoulder to make sure Walker was following, then continued on at her usual gait - just minus the skip usually found in her step.

Making the rounds to most of the cabins was easy enough, though there were unfortunate questions asked to which she thankfully did not have the answers. Down the side of the goddesses first, then coming around and up the side of the gods made it easier. It wasn't until she was making her way past Hephaestus' Cabin - seeing as Press was already on his way to the Big House - that she saw Adrian standing outside the Ares cabin in full armor.

Still, because shouting was rude, she waited until she was closer to Adrian to actually speak. "Chiron has requested a meeting with all Cabin Heads. Until such a time as the inquiry over the troublesome circumstances has been concluded, all campers are to remain inside; he was very firm on the latter part. I do not believe you'll need your armor and weaponry for this meeting, but I do not think you will be discouraged for the caution."
Hopefully I blew some dust off this! ChrisIsAll, don't leave me hanging!
Wayne shrugged when the chick declined the candy. Her loss. With that thought, and while she continued, he drew out a bit more of the sugar coated gummies and popped them into his mouth. Half pivoting let him keep her in sight, only to get distracted by all that color moving through the gym. His gaze followed the latest entrant, a bit of disappointment sinking his shoulders slightly at the knowledge that he wasn't the last one into the meeting hall, on her path to find her met by the other guy - since he didn't know what that thing by the stage was aside from something he didn't want to catch around his place at night - in the experiment.

<By my count, there are five others. So at least we're not alone.>

Fat lot of good that does us if everyone blows people off, Wayne mindfully retorted in his head. His gaze continued past the pink girl and the guy to notice another girl kind of standing off on her own. Maybe she would socialize. He was just about to start moving when the voice came back over the speaker. His gaze drifted up, almost as if looking at a speaker would tell him what the person speaking looked like; though, some of the impulse to look was just years of socialist training that you had to look at the person speaking to you. "Right, sounds like they're forcing a party," he said - not exactly to himself but not shouting either.

{You mean they purposefully made people have to socialize with us? These guys are awesome!}

<I doubt anyone is being forced to socialize. It's just that they locked all of us in a room together and gave us the potential to get to know our neighbors.>

{I liked my idea better.}

So did I, Wayne thought. A sigh escaped him. His gaze dropped back down toward the girl sipping juice. Second time's the charm.

A pleasant smile spread onto his face as he walked over to the girl (Chloe). "Care for a sweet? Candy's always best coming from strangers," he said, adding a wink to his toothy grin at the end. He offered out the bag to the girl. Who really knew if she'd go for the line. There was always a hope she would.
A placid expression washed onto Ariel's face when Chiron started to speak. If Chiron believed the camp to be in danger, then it was a very worrisome thing indeed. She stopped walking when he finished speaking and nodded. "Of course, I shall go inform them all right away." With that, she pivoted around and ran off for the dining pavilion to see if there were still campers there.

Unfortunately, many had departed already. Though it seemed Walker was still there, so she figured she would make a small detour. Coming to a walking stop in front of him, Ariel drew in a steadying breath. "Chiron is firm on the confinement, however you should have medical observation. Adrian can throw hard when he means to. I have been given a task by Chiron, but I wish to have you join my siblings and I in our cabin so I can make sure you truly have not sustained serious injury. Would you mind accompanying me as I go speak with each cabin?"

"Well why would they say it if it wasn't true?" Alex's brow furrowed with the question. That was just weird. "Wait," he leaned forward onto the table a little like that would help him see Veleno better. "Does that mean people say things that aren't the truth a lot? How often does that happen?" His brows furrowed more before he pushed the next question to the back of his head; Doctor Orbrock said one mustn't accuse others of things, after all.

He settled back a bit, face relaxing to a more neutral stare. "It's pretty cool you can draw all that though." He sat up a bit straighter, even though his arm had hooked over his sister's shoulders again. "Ooo, could you draw me? Do you do pictures of people not from your head? See, there was this guy at the other place, and he had a lot of people in his head, but he could only manage to draw them. Or, well, I think he said he was a she when he could draw - but that was weird." He shrugged.

Jennifer simply sat there, hugging one knee to her chest. She had nothing to add, really any opening of her mouth would detract from the conversation. Best she had to offer was just quietly listening, and watching the room to keep from anyone creeping up on them. She didn't jump, but she did shift so she didn't hurt herself when her head whipped around to let her see who was yelling. The girl had to be new or off her meds if she was yelling like that.
Ariel lost some of her smile, studying Walker's face. She supposed that if he was insistent the bump was fine, then she wouldn't press the matter - especially not when he sounded so upset. She managed to keep a tiny bit of her smile and was glad it was there for when Chiron went to make an announcement. She turned just in time to hear the end of it.

"That is too bad," she said with a soft sigh. Although she may not have played with her siblings, she did participate in assisting the injured. It always helped to have a free set of hands that could immediately tend injuries. Besides, she knew her siblings were looking forward to it from their own sounds of disappointment filling the choir of the rest of the campers. The bigger problem, for her, wasn't canceled capture the flag, but was the restriction to the cabin. On such a beautiful day, it was just horrible to restrict anyone to their cabins, especially with so much energy in the pavilion.

She looked at Walker. "If you swear it is not bad, I will check on the injury later." An offered smile served as her parting farewell. She didn't want to let Chiron get too far ahead even if he did seem worn out. Immediately after sharing that smile, she turned and ran off to catch up with Chiron.

She jogged to a walking gait that matched Chiron once she grew closer. Looking up at him, she started, "Excuse me, Chiron, but is there something wrong? If there was something in which you need assistance, I would be glad to lend aide. However, and I apologize for speaking out of place, restricting us to our cabins seems counter productive for the purpose of the camp."
