Bio

Y'all can call me Bard.

I've been RPing for about 15 years now.

I'm also an aspiring novelist and an avid writer of short stories.

I believe hardship and bad karma (regardless of how much good one does) are necessary for character development, aptly explained by a well selling writer:
"Be a sadist. No matter how sweet and innocent your leading characters, make awful things happen to them—in order that the reader may see what they are made of." —Kurt Vonnegut

What do you think about a Greek mythology rp? In more specific terms, the story of Hades and Persephone. I think it's gonna be quite mature since, let's face it, if Hades is ANYTHING like his brothers, then things will get messy. Does that interest you?
I'm sorry, but I don't actually have any interest in that. Was there anything else that you were interested in?
Yes, please. Please include what interested you and a writing sample in your PM.
Welp, I'm going to reopen this in hopes I get some more interest. Seems most of my partners are MIA...
Also, as an added note, once all the characters have been intro'ed, I'll start up the first mini-plot for the Big Prophecy. Considering all our characters could be (so I'm just going to say are) cabin heads, it would give more play time for everyone for fun meeting times (or am I the only one that thinks cabin head meetings would be fun?) and such.
Okay, no more waiting, no more delay. The opening post has been made, please feel free to enter your characters wherever. I'd say it's around mid-day timewise.
Five years passed since the Battle of New York. Kronos and his army have been defeated and the curse on the Oracle of Delphi lifted, allowing the spirit to pass into a new host - Rachel Dare. A new great prophecy was foretold, though many have forgotten in the years since its decree. Those that fought and survived the war with the Titians still tell the tales of those years to the newer campers, though it seems like so long ago for some. Peace, surprisingly for some, settled over the camp with normal activities resuming as if the war had never happened. Though, according to Chiron, that's the way life is for demi-gods. The first day of summer found its way to them once more - campers returning, and daily activities coming back into full swing.

Marshall watched his brothers playing a game of basketball against some of the Hermes boys. He, shy as ever, focused on making sure the Infirmary was stocked up with ambrosia, nectar, and more mundane medical supplies. After all, with campers returning - and even possibly new campers showing up - it was always good to make sure everything was ready. It was ready, though; he was always in the Infirmary making sure things were tidy and ready. Better there, doing nervously repetitive tasks, than outside making a fool of himself on the court by flinching away from the ball when it was passed to him or having trouble dribbling. A sigh escaped him. Chiron always chased him out of the Infirmary sooner or later. It wasn't proper to stay cooped up away from others, according to the centaur. Besides, the room was tidy enough with his daily routine. Rather than wait for Chiron to come and hurry him outside, Marshall made his way out - hand on his messenger back to make sure no idle hands got into it - and headed off to the archery range to get in a bit of practice.
@ JonxlatheLion: I'm not accepting any more characters at this time. Nor would I be accepting a monster character. (Don't try to reason using Tyson or Ella - it won't work.) @ approved participants: I'll just kind of toss in prophecies/quests as they come up then. If anyone changes their mind, I can give you an OOC heads up. (Making this short due to migraine. Hope it calms so I can get back to working on the opening.)
Okay, so I've updated the list to include the new links for people, and edit down the people that haven't gotten me sheets. Tyrant was moved to inactive as he was approved but according to the logs he hasn't been online since the site relaunched. If I don't hear from him/see him online before Sunday, I'm going to cross him off the list too and have us continue with the 6 of us that are still active...ish. I haven't seen anything from Kaalee in this thread recently so I'll have to get in touch with her to make sure she's still interested. (She's the only one that didn't move a character to the Characters tab.) At any rate, I'm working on the opening (though I'm dealing with an illness in my family so it is looking like it will take a bit longer than desired to get this started.) Nonetheless, by Sunday, I will have the first post underway. Would people like to be clued in now to the series of mini plots now or just have them come up in the threads? All the mini plots will relate to the big plot already showcased in the first page prophecy.
Making yet another update to let you know I'm still watching this. The past week has been super stressful and busy for me. Next week is my recovery week from the stress and time to work on some projects I've had to put off, which is why I projected the start date for the first few days of February. So those of you still watching this that are on that original list and haven't turned in character sheets - or are working on editing your sheets and have yet to add them to the character sheet tab - you still have a few days. The latest this will start is February 3rd (though I'm hoping to have it up before I go to bed on February 1st *USA East Coast Timezone*.)
Don't worry. I'm still watching this for people putting up characters/asking questions when I have a chance. The deadline still remains the end of the month due to personal and professional responsibilities, but this will definitely start by the beginning of February. Just wanted to give you an update for those of you still watching the thread.
