I'm feeling really happy and pumped. Oh, and joyful. Haha.
Bio
Here's a list of things about me if you want to know a little bit more. Though if you actually want to get to know me, send me a PM, or talk over the OOC chat.
1. I don't generally like roleplays where my characters are forced to be serious 100% of the time; mostly because that's not how actual people work.
2. Yes, I use anime pictures for appearances. I've come to like anime less and less over the years, and personally only ever watch the movies now, and that's on incredibly rare occasions. I personally like using those over actual people faces, because people have too many specific details, and I can never find people faces that match the description I want. If you would like, I can use a text description instead.
3. I generally like to make 'pairs' of characters. Either characters that seriously contrast with each other, or work together really well but still have arguments and problems.
4. I've been forum roleplaying for just about 5 years now, and I've been tabletop roleplaying for 11 years now. I still suck at roleplaying despite being a 12 year veteran, but, what're you gonna do?
5. I really enjoy talking to people. Yes, society has gone downhill, but despite that I find serious enjoyment out of talking to people about anything. So, if I'm in an RP with you, just chat away with me. We can talk about mundane things, or go all-out on serious topics. I don't think I've come across a single person I've hated talking to, even if they were somewhat irritating or annoying. So please PM me, or just talk OOC.
6. I flipping love Inside Out, and as such, if you ever make an RP based around it, please invite me. I promise to behave of course. If one isn't made though, you know very well that I'll make my own, and I'll try my hardest to make it the best RP possible. Or, if you just want to talk about Inside Out, I'd love to do that as well.
7. Please make good characters. I understand Advanced Roleplayer's over on that section have no problem with this, but I don't like RPing over there. When I'm on casual roleplay, not many seem to care a whole lot about making good characters. They just make walking cliche's to get into an RP, and then completely change that character as the RP barely starts. It's annoying, lazy, and doesn't really make me want to accept you if I'm GM or co-GM.
Characters are the literal heart and soul of roleplaying, and should be treated as such. If you make your characters card-board cut-outs, it only tells me that you either don't care, are lazy, or that we absolutely need a moderate roleplay section on the forums to bridge the gap between posting 1-2 paragraphs with barely any work put into characters, and posting 6-8 paragraphs with enormously deep backstories, love, and care, put into characters.
8. I am a caring and nice guy, so don't be afraid to talk to me about anything. I'm fairly hard to offend, and even harder to make mad. I seriously enjoy getting to know my fellow members, so talk whenever you feel like it.
I used to have these weird definitions for OOC and IC. If I pull into my memory banks a bit, I think it went like this:
OOC is where you learn to hate your fellow RPers. IC is where you act on that hate.
Maybe it rhymed now that I think of it, or it had to do something with getting to know each other. I'll edit that if I can remember the exact words I put down.
I like it more when IC is something that's thought out rather than, "someone posted, I need to reply within the next three minutes so that we can just go back and forth really fast." Of course, that's the embodiment of the freeplay section. I don't have anything against them, heck I was stuck in the freeplay section for two years. Until I learned enough to branch out and go into casual without ever looking back. Which reminds me that my 5 year Forum RP anniversary is in March. I forgot the exact date, so I just attribute the entire month of March to it.
MIB, right? That was the only gag I honestly knew from Men in Black. That, and Will Smith being well, Will Smith.
I only like herbal tea. Helps clear up stress, and has no calories. You just put ground up tea leaves into boiling hot water, and bam, you're good. Plus, it makes me feel like a Chinese Emperor and helps me scheme a plan on how to take over Mongolia. I mostly use stuff from Argentina though, because they really know how to make herbal tea. Yerba tastes so much better than Ginseng ever will.
Alright, posted. Did stuff, progressed the plot, added character insight.
I'm somewhat anticipating what sort of weapons each character will be getting. It would be nice if they each had to make their own as part of training, but that would probably take a lot of unnecessary time. I'm just going to assume there'll either be pre-built weapons waiting for them, or that they get to maybe design the looks but not get to actually create the weapons.
I think I'm just setting my hopes too high. Anyways, instead of ACT prep classes, I'm going to be renting a book on how to prepare for the ACTs instead. Those classes cost $50 per session, which I'm pretty sure is considered daylight robbery. This means, I'll be able to actually post throughout this month because I won't be spending an extra four hours after school everyday, stuck, prepping for the ACT with no internet.
Mmm, the feeling of a near empty OOC. For some reason it makes me nostalgic. The times when I was in RPs with only one or two other guys and, when one of them dropped out, the RP pretty much died on the spot. That was until the mere sighting of my username pretty much made anyone want to join because "oh snap, *insert one of many old usernames here* is in the RP. Who forgot to invite me?" Looks like I have to build that reputation up again.
Hope you guys don't mind me editing this post a lot. So, the best feature that was taken out from our old forums, @Teknonick has now been added here. Knowing who's on the page reading it. Now we will know all of the adoring fans who love our RP, unless they're invisible, and hopefully could join sometime in the future.
Kurano Tanaka
Kurano wasn't sure whether to smile, or frown, at what the man told him. Though, going far beyond anyone else's abilities sounded enticing enough for him. No more needing to worry about getting mugged was a relief for him as well. The world's greatest schools intrigued him, with options all over. Perhaps he could even go to Tokyo University, the most highly respectable university in all of Japan. Multi-millionaires were birthed from it's gilded halls, and luxurious dorms. Kurano was nearly consumed by his thoughts, pulled out only by the phrase "all of those who wish to join us, should decide to follow me." Kurano immediately started to trail behind the man. I won't have to fall under my Uncle's shadow once I'm done with all of this. I can finish my schooling, and return home to the country with my parents. He had set his goal, squeezing into the elevator with the man and what he assumed to be a scientist. "Before anything else," Kurano interjected, "since you're our boss now and you already know our names. What's yours?" Kurano asked inquisitively, awaiting for the elevator door to be closed.
Minami Shiroka
Minami almost trembled in excitement, hearing that she would once again have friends. Her days of being ignored and scolded, left back in Osaka. She frowned slightly when the big man she now learned as kristof objected her coming along, Minami's twin tails hair style drooping a bit to make her look pitiful. Listening to what the secret man had to say, she also tried to convince Kristof. "You can protect me if anything goes wrong Kristof," she paused, making sure that she pronounced his name right. "all you have to do is squish 'em like you just did. Until I'm big and strong, just like you." Minami smiled, turning her attention to the guy in the labcoat.
The coat guy seemed invested at looking at, something, from her perspective. Then, screaming like a crazy person after his glasses dropped. Minami didn't exactly have a good impression of the coat guy, but she decided on one word to perfectly describe him. Weird. When told, Minami followed the secret agent man to his his secret elevator. She slipped in the doors, and made a comment looking around her. "Ooh, I think I saw this in a movie once. But, it had giant monsters destroying the city," she added coyly, hoping no giant things were going to crush them as they went down or up.
Sadly, I don't have the time to post right now. Also, the SATs are going to drain me for the next few weeks. Then, in March, I have to prepare for the ACTs. Hurrah standardized testing and all of it's stress-inducing sleepless nights that it thrusts upon you!
I just noticed that too. It keeps reminding me that this place is still in construction. Which means there's still a chance for the BBCode video player to come back.
I'm heading back home today, which means 6 hours I'll be left in the dark again. Oh snap, there are post limits now for some reason. What if someone wanted to go way in depth about stuff? What about the opening posts? What about the children?!
We don't need any more smilies
*starts throwing twigs and logs on the fire* don't die out man! Don't die out!
Why is there a bio button under our names? Can't they just go there if they click our names? What's the point of it?
Ah, it just tells you that we have a bio. I'm going to have to tidy that up then.
I chuckled when Kristof pointed at the doctor and accused him of 'taking someone' from him. It's a good way to make sure that guy sticks with us.
I look about as photogenic as a rotten turnip, so I don't think I'll put up a picture of my face as my avatar.
