Alien Invasion[1x1]

Marcus listened intently to Rose as she described what she last remembered. Seemed like those Aliens tried to make her feel at home so she'd be less resistant against their experiments.

"Your father... Well, you're safe here from them. I won't let them take you again, you have my word."

"My name's Veronica. A member of Marcus's squad picked me up when I passed out outside the camp. I'd like to ask for a favor."

Veronica took a seat and looked towards Jack.

"I'd like to formally join Marcus's group. The extra man or woman in my case, will prove a lot more beneficial with more numbers out there. I'm just thankful to be here after being stranded for so long fighting on my own."

"I wouldn't say long. We've bumped into each other every now and then but the more connecting moment was a shake-down in Afghanistan. Saved her life when she was ambushed. Guess she owes me."

Marcus stated to Eli before turning towards Max.

"He did, but you just missed her. Anyways, Rose?"

Turning towards Rose with a smile as he grabbed a chair and sat down.

"Can you remember anything before you were unconscious? It was strange to find you within a alien ship-wreck."

Meanwhile Veronica made her way to Jack's office and knocked at the door.

"Hey, you the boss? I'd like to have a meeting with you."

"Rosellia..."

Marcus paused for a moment after hearing that name, before she looked towards him with a big smile, thanking him.

"Anytime. We're just lucky we got there before they took you away. If it's not too much trouble, can you remember anything before you were unconscious?"
"Seems you have quite the group on your hands, Marcus. Wouldn't of taken you for the leader type. Where's your boss?"
"Just comes naturally after going through literal hell and back. Boss is down the way to the right."
"Got it. Stay safe you guys. It's living hell out there."

Veronica then walked out of the med-bay and proceeded to the boss's quarters.

"Didn't even wait to meet Max. Must be in a hurry."

"Maybe, it depends who 'he' is. Nice to meet you, Rose."

Veronica smiled before hearing some footsteps nearby as Marcus made his way into the premise.

"Ah, she's woken up. How's she feeling?"
"Long time no see, Marcus."
"Kelly? I thought you were dead."
"Guess I'm tougher then you, huh? Good to see you again. After saving my life in Afghanistan, I owed you big time."

Marcus wandered over to her and turned towards Eli.

"I'd like for you to meet someone who I fought with and rescued during my services in the BAF; Miss Veronica Kelly. Veronica, this is Eli; one of my squadmates. Duel Wields, just like you."
"Really? Then perhaps I'd better give him some pointers since fighting on my own. Nice to meet ya."

"That's a good idea. Thank you for the meeting, sir."

Marcus stated as he walked out of the boss's quarters and closed the door behind him, on his way to the med-bay. So that woman he rescued could very well be the founder of The Rise's daughter. What a find...

"The Rise, huh? Guess being stuck in Britain for so long makes you not know much about the state of the world. Been kicking Alien ass for so long my body finally decided to say 'no'. Name's Veronica Kelly. I used to be in the British Armed Forces before the whole alien attack."

"What?! Are you serious?!"

Marcus exclaimed in shock. The woman who he and his team saved could very well be the daughter of the founder of The Rise, that's something Marcus would never of expected.

A few minutes since Eli had taken her into the med-bay, she slowly woke up and noticed she was inside said med-bay. She was lucky that someone found her when she passed out but she fully expected to die. Attempting to get up, she lifted her head.

"Hey, where am I?"

"Of course I have sir, pretty sure everybody here would of. We'd all not be here if not for him."

When he lifted her up, she opened her eyes slowly to spot Eli but before she could respond, she passed out again. Seems like she was heavily exhausted. Eli should be able to notice various scratch marks and her uniform being worn and torn. She must of been out there on her own for a long time.

"I'm not familiar with her, no, sir. Should I be?"

Meanwhile nearby the Campsite, a young woman was pushing herself forward towards the camp; clenching her arm tightly while holding one P226 Pistol with another on a holster on her right leg. Her clothing was battered and torn, parts of her arm and legs were revealed; hinting that she hadn't had a change of clothing in a long time. Her outfit was standard issue British Armed Forces, still bearing the United Kingdom flag. Walking up to the Camp slowly, she raised her pistol and turned on the flashlight attachment; aiming it at the camp itself for a few seconds before eventually passing out on the ground.

Backstory: Alongside Marcus, Veronica Kelly joined the British Armed Forces under recommendation from her family as her mother was a medic and her father was an officer. Following her family's footsteps, she signed on to fight for her country. She met Marcus on a field operation in Afghanistan; he was sent in to assist her squad in a shake-down, saving her life and allowing her to fight another day.

When the Alien Invasion arrived, Veronica fought valiantly but was cut off from her squad. Ever since, she had been fighting alone with low resources and health as a lone soldier on a battlefield making up the entirety of the Earth.
