Saina nodded as Gippal finished talking. She had observed their means of communication before after all, she had to admire their connection truly. Her head turned as Sifen approached and the two began to talk in fluent Al Bhed. She blinked, looking between the two of them before finding herself zoning out and walking away from them. She really didn't understand what they were saying, other than one word being 'signed,' something she'd picked up in the many books she read when she was younger.

She looked around the temple, breathing in the thick tropical air deeply as she approached one of the many stone tablets covered in inscriptions and runes. Bowing her head, she clasped her hands together and let the feeling of peace well within her. She tuned out their conversation, focusing on the hymn of the fayth and allowing it to infect her state of mind. A few memories ran through her mind, causing her gloved fingers to clasp together tightly.

Saina lifted her head to quietly peer over her shoulder at Eva clinging to Gippal, betraying no emotions. She stared at her like that, her eyes slightly narrowed before turning her head back to the tablets, her lips slightly parted. Her shoulders fell as though a weight was slowly placed upon them and her hands dropped to her sides. After a moment, her fingers traced the sphere in her pocket... and she clenched that hand into a fist.

Her focus returned to reality as she tuned back in to Gippal and Sifen's conversation when they switched over to speaking spiran once more. Saina's hand relaxed and she turned back to them before stepping slowly to be beside Gippal. She followed him as he went to the rooms and leaned on the wall across from him with her arms folded and one leg propped up against the wall. She observed Eva clinging to him with dull eyes and a spark of something rather... spiteful in her stomach. When he spoke up about how calm Eva was though, her eyes lightened up some and she nodded in agreeance. As he spoke to the priest, she looked around the room and took a deep breath before closing her eyes.
@rivaan yeah--actually what wound in her forehead? I thought she just had a horn? What wound?

edit: nvm i see it now

Azga opened his eyes as he spawned in the landscape of the black guild. In the distance he could see a few dissolutions... Ah... As he looked around he knew where he was. Right where he'd been in the motorcycle with that girl. CorpseCollector was her name, right? He looked ahead of him, seeing the dark building where the Black King had resided last time he'd been in there.

He exhaled slowly, gripping his hands into fists as he felt the magic and power rushing through his digitized veins. The wind blew his cape dramatically behind him and he slipped on his sleek glasses, pushing them up the bridge of his nose. He tilted his head back, loving the feeling of the artificial wind blowing through his blonde locks... but he opened his eyes and began rushing ahead, dragon staff clenched tightly in hand. Without a partner, he couldn't fight the dissolutions. At best, he'd be able to paralyze them and run. For now he decided to avoid the lurking black shapes, even ducking behind boulders when he thought one might be turning its ugly face to look at him before lumbering off.

He kept his eye on the prize. Though there were others in the area, he didn't care. All he wanted to do was to find the Black King and demand an answer....

The thought made him pause behind the boulder. If he approached the black king with that attitude, it would give away his real world identity. His eyes narrowed and he tapped the ground with his staff in thought. It would be best to stick to his persona, then. Get cozy with the black king... and... did he really have a plan? He glared at the dirt over his glasses... and decided to make it up as he went along. He was Azga. Impulse was his specialty.
I think i'll work on a post vuv
Saina nodded in understanding to Gippal and folded her arms, closing her eyes contently as she listened to Eva's sobs impatiently. The movement was small, but her index finger drummed against her arm at a steady beat. It was agonizing listening to the summoner cry and not being able to help, frustrating even.

She opened her eyes when she heard Urick's voice speak up and looked over at him, her face a blank slate. He made some motions to Gippal, who seemed to understand the silent communication, and pushed Naisha over to Braska before he turned to her with a blush on his face.

"Temples... Center our... Minds...and souls..."

Saina blinked at him with her eyes slightly widened as his blush increased and he had to walk off, presumably to go after the redhead. She watched him go, her arms still folded. It took her a moment to figure out what he was talking about, but when she remembered what she'd told him about the temples, she smiled after him. She gave a small sigh and turned back to the group, having to chuckle under her breath to stave off the sudden handful of loud heartbeats in her chest. Resisting the urge to reach her hand up and curl a lock of hair around her finger, she caught up to Gippal and matched him step for step--or what she could, with her legs being shorter than his--as they made their way into the temple. She kept her palm upward to take the alchemy circle drifting snow onto the two above them like an umbrella until they made it inside, where she snatched her hand closed and allowed the magic to fade. She looked over her shoulder through the closing doors as the black mage sped away on her broken chair. Hmph... The girl really wasn't any use to their cause anyways. She put her focus back to the crew.

Her eyes found Eva's form relaxed and at peace. Saina, too, relaxed at the sight, rather pleased that the summoner had calmed down. The priests within offered them board and to help with Sifen's arm, but a part of the conversation caught her eye in particular.

"Cousin?"

She spoke up, turning to Gippal with an eyebrow slightly raised.

"I'd thought Urick was your brother. With the way you two interact and look alike..."

She paused, looking the pale haired man up and down before noting with a note of humor in her tone,

"Excluding physique, that is."

Her lips parted, as though she'd just remembered something and let out a soft 'hmm' as she looked around the temple. She looked back at him with a palm raised, using her hands to talk in this instance. As she'd spoken up some of the priests and temple goers took notice of the group more.

"That may have come off as offensive... I apologize. Your own physique does suit you, as well as your cousins. But, I'm getting off topic,"

She turned to one of the Yevon priests and bowed her head.

"Thank you for your hospitality. We graciously accept."

When Saina was hugged by Eva, her eyes had widened before she slowly placed her own arms around the slightly taller woman and closed her eyes. She did love affection, and she soaked this up with an oddly content look on her face especially when Eva assured her all was fine. When she'd moved to Urick she gave the red haired woman a quizzical look at how she put distance between her and the pale haired man but mostly brushed it off. She watched Urick as he contemplated what to do next, cocking her head at his blushing and... oddly finding herself having a tiny blush as well.

At that moment, the significantly larger man delicately placed a finger on her cheek and her eyes widened in that instant. She found herself focusing on his lips as he whispered a cure spell to heal the cut on her cheek and blinked fervently when he pulled his hand back to look into his eyes.

"I...I'm glad your safe... As well."

As he moved away Saina could internally hear the sound of a tea kettle whistling as her toes curled back in her boots and a shiver ran up her spine. She forced herself to exhale and turn away before moving up to be directly beside Eva. She didn't miss the look that Gippal gave them and she merely raised a brow at him as she forced a smile from touching her lips. She noted Braska's introduction, spacing out after he'd introduced his name as she wondered where she'd heard it before. Sounded familiar and some of the others seemed to know him. Still, he fought valiantly with her against the kraken in the sea and regarded him with high respect. He would definitely be a worthy guardian. As for the wheelchair girl, she still needed to find time to speak with Eva about... Her thoughts churned in her head as she walked with everyone in comfortable silence, her gloved fingers rubbing the sphere in her pocket along the way.

Ah... The infamous Kilika Temple. As she stopped with the crew in its shadow a small part of her leapt at the sight of it. She'd only been here very briefly before really in her travels. She put her hands on her hips and her thoughts wandered into dark corners, reminiscing of how she'd been told--

It was at that moment she broke from her thoughts to notice Eva hyperventilating and clutching to Gippal. Her heart sank though her expression remained neutral as her eyes narrowed at the summoner. She... felt something here then? Interesting... Then again... She examined how the summoner clung tightly to Gippal, using him as her rock. How much did they mean to each other? She had to wonder. Were she one for using humor, she might have even given Gippal the same look he had given her and Urick a few hours ago but decided against it. After all, her summoner was distraught and she would do her best to calm her, and she would somehow need to do it without tearing her away from Gippal. She folded her arms, keeping her expression entirely neutral. Should this be a painful experience for Eva, she wanted, more than anything, to be strong for her.

"Lady Eva,"

She blatantly disregarded the summoners earlier request to drop the honorifics in order to catch her attention now. Her voice remained calm and collected as she looked to the strawberry-blonde headed woman. She paused, choosing her next words very carefully.

"This temple appears to hold pain for you... but it is an important part of your journey as a summoner. We can wait to go in until we strategize a plan to proceed, if you desire."

Even if the summoner wished to neglect this temple then so be it. She bowed her head, wishing she could be more help. Though it seemed that the young woman she had resigned to protect was desperate to do anything but enter. An afterthought made itself present and she held her fingers out in front of her and gently swayed her fingers inward as she pressed her heel in front of her on the stone ground with a soft 'clack!' From her heel a small blue line shot across the ground and beneath the feet of Eva and Gippal. Above their heads a alchemic circle formed slowly and rotated slowly as gentle snow fell onto them. It wasn't much, honestly. After being in a shipwreck and washing ashore, walking for hours in the muggy island heat and now breaking down into tears... at least she could bring the threat of heat exhaustion down. The cold always seemed to make people think more clearly as well anyways. She sighed, rubbing her own eyes. The heat here was extremely miserable to herself as well, come to think of it.
