Garrett Dovanon

Garrett had dealt with dangerous people in the past. He had been shouted at, chased, threatened, held at gunpoint, and in one special occasion, shot at. Still, no one could unnerve him quite like the way Seraphine did. He liked to read people, but it bothered him when they returned the gestures. And Seraphine, well, to say that her eyes are piercing would be quite the understatement. Regardless, she had a reputation, and Garrett had long learnt that beggars couldn’t be choosers.

“I am well-aware, ma’am. Had to make one without appointment though, given the unexpected nature of their request.”- He spoke curtly, preferred not to go into too much details over the phone. - “While the jobs aren’t too lucrative, I just thought you’d be interested in our clients. They requested a meeting later today, after the festival.”

But before he could hear her reply, a customer approached his stall. – “Excuse me.”-He muttered quickly, before hanging up abruptly. It might not be the wisest move, all things considered, but he knew Seraphine would hate to be eavesdropped. Regardless, if she would meet then, she would contact him. Through a message or something. He pushed the thoughts out of his mind as he shoved the phone into his back pocket and went to attend to the customer.

It was a man this time. Obviously of asian origin, black hair and dark eyes and all, though there was something about him that Garrett didn’t often see in tourists. His eyes too hard, accent far too faint, and the way he carried himself showed neither curiosity or unfamiliarity. It wasn’t enough to draw any conclusion though, so Garrett brushed those thoughts aside and grabbed a bottle of water from the cooler behind him.

“Here you go.”- He handed over the requested item, collected the bill and gave the man back his changes- “Would that be all? I highly suggest trying the chilli dog. Lots of people have enjoyed it.”- Continuing with a grin, he gestured to the hanging menu with a finger.”

@Nosuchthing@Inuyasha
@Mr Allen J No protest from me. Still need to get Garrett to interact with @Inuyasha first of course. Will get a post up later, a bit busy today cause it's monday but things will die down in the evening.
@FernStone How come you "kind of" in Spain? Makes it sounds like you weren't meant to go there but accidentally booked a flight or something.
@Mr Allen J Man, 20 pages of OOC. I respect your mad GM skills.

@Mr Allen J

People reveal more about themselves in their appearance, rather than their words. This, Garrett had known for a long time. So as she talked, he watched. The girl probably didn’t lie when she claimed not to be from around here, but he could tell that she was no wide-eyed tourist either. She had well defined muscles, the type you couldn’t get from just long jogs and yoga sessions alone, and there was also the scar beneath her eye. It looked fairly new and gave him the feeling someone tried to slice her face open. Or it could simply some accident and he was reading too much into some random scar. Either way, he didn’t think this redhead was here just to take part in the famed festival. If he had to guess, this girl looked like trouble.

“Afraid you will have to wait a bit for that. People won’t start flashing each other until midnight.”-He grinned broadly at her remark about the festival – “Worth the wait though. We have some of nicest boobs around, trust me.”

He kept quiet as she continued, however once she mentioned her missing friend, his smile flattered. It was a small shift though, only visible to the most trained of eyes. Her choice of words in the description interested him. A brown-haired, well-built girl with a scarf was far too vague, but he must admit it wasn’t someone you saw every day. He knew he wouldn’t forget someone like that. However, unfortunately for the girl, he hadn’t seen her friend. But he knew someone who might. It didn’t mean he had decided to help though. Getting involved with Seraphine in the first place was risky enough; to actively contacting her for something like this was absolute madness in his book. Then again, it wasn’t like he was asking for favours; the redhead was. He saw no harm in pointing her in the right direction. After all, she didn’t seem like a bad person, and believe it or not, Garrett had his bouts of selfless kindness to those he took a liking to.

“So, on the scale from getting shitfaced in a stranger’s house to committing multiple homicides, how dumb this… something is?”- He crossed his arms, the casual smile still remained in place, but his blue eyes had lost all traces of humour. - “You’d be surprised how easy it is for people get lost in this city. Finding them is a bit harder. Your friend has a name?”

When she mentioned her name, Garrett paused before introducing his, fingers instinctively reached up to the front of his shirt. Right, he didn’t wear his name tag today. He wasn’t working at the hotel. - “It’s Garrett. Nice to meet you, Jessica.”
@Mr Allen J I will get a post up later today, got Easter things to attend to. Anyway, I love Life is Strange. Such a sweet story >< *cries manly tears*
@Mr Allen JSomebody might take that as a challenge my friend. Careful there.
@Mr Allen J Yay. As for my post, well, I'm currently enjoying Easter at the moment, so it might be tomorrow, or it might be the day after. Sorry.
Well, in my experience, when in doubt, toss in an explosion or two. Really, explosions are the best way to bring folks together. In one piece or otherwise.
