Quite a lot had happened. Heracles had made a request of the Caster, already annoying Xerxes simply because this Caster was his by now, or at least in his mind. After all, he had invited the Caster in, and given him orders. Was that not enough for the man? Either way, as the enemy servant was already fleeing, Caster was pulling up a 'projection' of sorts. A way to watch the enemy. Even more... To learn her true name.

Altera the Hun. Attila in a different term. A warrior from the stars who sought the destruction of human civilization. Just watching her... He could see quite a few similarities between her and something like their host. Both sought to destroy. Demons in human skins. This one was a Lancer, clearly using some kind of skill to run away. Perhaps disengage? He knew that one of the final kings of his empire, Darius the third, named for his father, had possessed such a skill. It allowed one to flee any exchange, but could it compensate for the exhaustion of utilizing a noble phantasm like she had just done? The distance to cover was vast, and worse, a Lancer. A class known for their speed. But...

"Very well, I accept this challenge. Consider it a sport. Whoever manages to slay the savage proves above all others that they are the most capable of being a king. After all, a king must be able to seek vengeance against a barbarian like this." Heracles can wait. Though, if Heracles happened to join in, and become a victim of his attack... Well it was a shame to be Heracles then. Even if that wasn't who he was, he'd find out the truth eventually. Probably wasn't much of a conundrum, since who would go around claiming to be Heracles? Iphicles? Doubtful. But what did he know about either of them?

He had not dispelled any of his soldiers. Instead, they began to gather together again. Like a collective organism, they began to form together. Their bodies assembling together. Hands connected, their flesh mixing together as legs twisted. Becoming claws, or stretching their bodies out. The forms of man became twisted under their dark cloaks, and that cloth became flesh. Rapidly they took on the form of a dragon, fit for a king to ride upon. The blessing of Caster struck each of these soldiers, and they were ready to take flight.

"I shall take to the skies. Caster, feel free to join me, there is room for you on my beast." Xerxes said, smiling down upon Caster as he took his position on the back of the beast. Reins materialized in his hands, and waiting for Caster's response... It struck off into the air. Xerxes could easily follow Lancer's course now, as the beast ascended. She might attempt to retaliate, but it hardly mattered. Now that he was in the air, Xerxes no longer felt a need to hold the reins. Instead, he materialized a bow in his hands, taking aim. His skill, imperial privilege, easily covered the necessary requirements one might need for something as simple as Archery.

"You know, I'm starting to think he isn't coming." Ariadne groaned, and rubbed her eyes. "You'd think an invite to visit a fellow mage would be enough for some people, but noooooooo." She was clearly unhappy about the whole ordeal, and it was even starting to distract her from the various spectacles all going around. She'd never been dumped before the date even began! Was she not pretty enough? Maybe she should have been more obvious. Maybe she should have poisoned him with wine? Or used a charm? Nah, he had a servant around.

Speaking of, she'd had his base watched since pretty much she left. Nothing. He hadn't even left the building as far as she could tell. Was he even going to participate in the war? Or was he gonna spend the whole war in his base, buffing himself to make sure his servant could handle anything? It was actually pretty gross if he was going to do that. Ew.

"Caster, if as you suspect, there is a second caster blocking your vision, that means there is a second caster who is probably terrified of having their identity revealed. Maybe their master is at the park too. After all, if they're this cautious, they probably wouldn't even leave their master alone." Ariadne mused, while pushing that tasteless coffee man out of her mind. "If I sent one of my goons over, he might be able to spot them, personally. It's just a park after all, and the fighting is pretty obvious."

"Though... I am thinking of starting a little trouble." She'd hate to be hiding in base all night, but it was probably safer this way, until she was fully prepared. She had stuff to tinker on in the meantime.
If I can come up with an interesting concept for a master, I might join.

Disgust.
How else does one describe feelings like this directed towards "Heracles." A disgusting man who kidnapped an innocent. If Ruler didn't get involved just from that alone, Xerxes might just lose faith in such a figure at all. Not that it mattered. A he stopped leaning against his tree, he began to walk towards the rest of the group. Ready to speak, to shame this "Hero" who disgraced the name of all others! Both of them.

But as he approached... A warning came. An attack is coming. The words of god, descended upon him, and spoke into his ears. His magical energy surged, and his reaction was clear.
"Filthy mongrel! The role of a king is to be a flawless symbol! The people are slaves to their every whim, yes. That much of what you said is true. But a king is to be a beacon of perfection! The height of humanity! A symbol of God's grace on earth! To defile that with your barbaric tastes, and worse your ego... IS A MOCKERY OF WHAT A KING STANDS FOR!"
His heart was pounding in his chest. Disgusted, insulted! "I shall show you what a king truly is! Not a barbarian, but a rallying force! The will of the king is the will of the people, so says I! The king who stands closest to God, as is the wish of God himself!"

From the earth, rose soldiers. The undead forces that lived forever! The Immortals! They stood not as simple men, but as a goliaths. Each two men tall, and carrying a shield as thick as another man. Several began to form, interlocking their shields together. Raising them higher into the air as they began to form a barrier around their king. Well, their king, and another smaller group for Caster. After all, Caster had come in as Xerxes plus two, so that man was under his protection now.

This was a defense he had seen only once in his life. A replication of a defense that held out a pass at Thermopylae for three days. A kind of phalanx, just like the one Leonidas had done to protect his forces. This phalanx, three layers of soldiers thick, all piling around their king (and Caster) like a dome was the very definition of "A perfect defense." Well, as perfect as one could get.
Any attacks that broke through the barrier of attacks from both that demon rider, and Caster would fall weakly upon the layered defense of a king. Meaningless before it. The response though...

As soon as the peppering of spears relaxed... Xerxes responded in kind.

"SOLDIERS! FORM UP!"
The undead soldiers he had gathered for this was a fraction of the true force he could control, even without unleashing the true name. He had no need for that now, but rather to respond with a small barrage of his own, to hopefully scare off the attacker from a repeat showing. So, the large soldiers began to split apart, forming into three smaller soldiers each. Each carrying a bow and arrow. They raised their aim high, and waited... Waiting for their king. They did not wait long.
"FIRE!" Each arrow sailed through the air, and cut through the night sky. Where Lancer stood, where she had begun her attack from, arrows sailed down. Peppering the roof and the next one over. A pause, before a second volley, just to be safe. Arrows sailing through the sky again, darkening the moon briefly with each.

"So, I have one question... Who invited the Lancer?"

The tastes of the era will always change. At one time in the world, beef was a popular dish. In another time it was cheap wine flavored with herbs to make it palatable. In his time, such a feast might have consisted of things such as lamb, or beans, or most usually... Bread. They had stews, and would dip artichokes into sauces taken from all over the world. In his time and day, Persia had been the kingdom of the endless feast. A kingdom that enjoyed endless wealth.

The meal presented was surely a buffet of all the world's cultures. For good reason. Kings existed in all parts of the world. Good food was not invented by the Persian empire... But one could say the best food came from Persia and that person would be right. Still, as Xerxes gazed over the spread, the music seemed to begin in earnest.

He found a tree to lean against, massive hand wrapped a glass of the wine of he had taken from the procession. He stirred it about almost lazily, as he watched the others step in. The first, came in with his master. He could make a few guesses based on the kind of dress the other servant wore. Middle Eastern, what era he couldn't say for sure. Babylon? Persia? That kind of outfit was popular for many eras in those regions. So at the very least he knew a kindred king of deserts had arrived.

The second, Greek. Possibly. He was making an educated guess. He had seen enough Greeks to know they would be the most popular kind of servant to be summoned. After all, they had managed to make quite a hold on much of the western world's ideals in men and literature. A saber, judging from what little he could overhear. Not bad, he would enjoy fighting such a man no doubt.

Then... There was the host. Xerxes said nothing as that man made a fool of himself. Instead, taking a long sip of his wine, and counting the seconds that speech went on. At its end, he spoke.
"Will somebody put a muzzle on that feral mutt?" He said, voice projecting through the courtyard. "No matter your conquests, a mongrel is a mongrel, and a king is a king. A mutt may bare its fangs, and wear a crown, but it is still born from a bitch."
How disgusting. A man like that had hosted this event? Perhaps it was more the master's doing, and FAR less the servant. Perhaps this was Xerxes own fault. After all, he was born in purple. Born as the son of Darius the King, and descendant of Cyrus the Great. He was the heir of two legacies, great and proud. This man though? This demon in human flesh that so recklessly called itself greater? The man's air... Was terrifying. Indeed he may very well be a demon. Something that made men sick and run. But kings are not men. They are better.
"If you wish to impress, you may do so by cutting the first leg of lamb and offering it to the God above. Then we may all properly feast. Before the food gets cold with your showboating."

There was something terrifying about the way Caster seemed to know everything. It made sense though. This was the one who foresaw the fall of Troy, and no matter her shouting... None dared believe her. It may very well be a lie, considering servants were naturally inclined with certain attributes that allowed them to fight fate and destiny. But even then, she didn't want to be the one to say 'yeah right' only to end up dying in a rather lame fashion. At least servants were guaranteed to go out fighting.

"Oh hush, I don't blame you." Ariadne said with a smile. She took her wine, and took a long sip of it. "After all, I'm the one who wanted to go get coffee today." She sighed, and decided to change the subject. Passing the blame around between the two of them wasn't going to do either any good.
"I was actually thinking of ways we might be able to improve our odds. Nothing... Life altering, but certainly far more valuable than simply hiding the whole war and leaping out to attack the last team standing. I'm here to punish those who set up this war, not merely host parties."

Either way, she took a seat, and gazed into those two glasses. Seemed there was more than one gathering at hand. For the one at the park, she had to admit that one identified as an Oni was... Certainly rather scary. The power alone was impressive. Still, if power alone was a factor in battle, than heroes like Theseus would have been killed by the Minotaur. Though... Strength had allowed Achilles to kill Hector, so strength did have its benefits.
"So... Are we going to be taking bets on who wins? I know you already know who will win, but you can at the very least humor me on this."

"So Caster... What do you think of my base?" Ariadne was rather aware that she had spent very little time with her servant. To be honest, the reason was simple... What would she say? What could be said? Her attempt to summon a great hero of the Greek era had gone amuck, and in the place of somebody like Theseus, or Achilles... She had summoned a Trojan. She had nothing against the Trojans! In fact, Dionysus probably had the strongest relationship with the Trojans outside of Apollo. He had remained neutral in the war.

So why did it feel awkward? Perhaps it was because she had been trying to summon a big musclebound hero. One she could have lift her in his arms, and parade her around. Instead, she had a priestess of Apollo, who likely wouldn't be up for any of that stuff. In truth, she hadn't even wanted to summon a Caster, but here she was. At the very least, they likely could work together on this to achieve something spectacular.

"I know it's probably not some elaborate temple you're used to, but I figured that a nice, open place to draw in magical energy through its karmic tones would probably do some good, you know?" She did love a good party, and drawing a crowd was her main strength. "Either way, I already made contact with another Master. With luck, he'll arrive as scheduled, and we can forge an alliance. On a positive, they're not Greek, so it shouldn't be too hard to make some friends."

So... This was the place. The king of Persia pulled up on a motorcycle. Seemingly unfitting for a king, but he found no reason to draw the attention of the world by marching in riding upon a rhinoceros. Nothing against the rhino, it was a marvelous species from the deepest of Africa. But, there was benefits to such a massive creature, and there were disadvantages. One major disadvantage was in how it handled corners. Something Rider had discovered to much easier on this motorcycle, especially when going at top speed. Besides, if a rhino took a corner too fast, it would destroy a building, not the same for a motorcycle.

He pulled up at the corner of the street, adjusting his furred coat, and slicking back his snow white hair. The king stepped on over, and stood to the side of the obvious Caster servant, one he had spotted very briefly earlier by the bank.
"I take it you're a musician?" He said, standing besides the cloaked Caster for a moment. "I couldn't help but overhear you and your master as I was pulling up." He added, as if to explain his question. He had no interest in fighting the Caster, or his master. Not that he couldn't, but because he had no reason too. He'd rather enjoy a peaceful night of kings and their business, than starting a fight with a local musician who had dreams no higher than simply plucking a string and singing a tune. For now. He might kill the man on a whim if the music choices were poor.
"Out of curiosity, can you play 'Istanbul, not Constantinople?'"

Xerxes didn't wait much longer, before simply stepping forward, and waving his hand to usher Caster in behind him. He doubted the man was a king, but he had overheard enough to know that the man was there to be an entertainer. A Caster seeking to start a scuffle would be ill-advised to draw attention to himself, or bring a supposed Master with them as well. Besides, if anybody argued, the duo could be his plus two.
There was no reason to really wait by the door after all... He was invited.

"Hippomenes... Do you think he'll show up?" Ariadne pondered out loud to her servant. "I know he said he doesn't do deliveries, but I did invite him to a good time. Do you think he got it, or did he miss it completely?" Letting out a groan, the mage smacked her head on the table. "It's no fair... I meet one nice guy and he's already married to his woooooooork! It's a coffee shop, he should have closed down and been here by nooooow."
Ariadne threw herself onto her bed, grumbling the whole time. Ugh... She didn't have the patience for this! Maybe she should do something to draw him in? Should she? That'd give her away. Buuuut, she did chose Copenhagen for several reasons. Mostly its natural synergy with her magecraft, and the second being that people might be risk adverse to attacking a local bar.

"Well, maybe I should. Considering that invitation sent out earlier is probably drawing in all sorts of folks, we should be safe. We're on the other side of the bridge after all." She mused out loud. "In that case... I could probably do some kind of greater ritual, and nobody would be around to stop me." She brushed her fingers through her hair. She finally frowned, and thought it over. "Well, it he does show up, Rider, you'll be my bodyguard. The other two... Can be bustboys." She looked over to the two men standing in the corner. Her makeshift satyr guards were... Strong, and could easily kill the average mage in a fight. The problem being that they were... Well they weren't the kind of folks she'd have a cup of wine with. After all, they were basically glorified golems.

"Alright, I'm as ready as I'll be. Let me just ponder the party."

Ah, coffee. She could tell just by looking at Rahma that they had the same soul in a way. When he was brewing... When he was working... When he was casting his spells to create that perfect brew? That was passion. That was his truth. If she could, she would carry him away to the Wandering Sea. Let him make whatever he desired. To let him brew to his hearts content, and then more. After all, to deny a passion was the worst kind of crime. So, rather than interrupt, she took a seat.

Her legs kicked beneath the table. Lightly tapping that metal with each careless thunk. Just using each moment to keep track of the time. Her eyes drifted from mage to Servant, and then back to the mage. It was strange... But she didn't really care for the Servant. Sure, he was cute, and no doubt strong, but... He wasn't a man of passion. He fell to a stringent moral compass. He seemed like the sort who would be a designated driver, and not the party goer. She didn't mind folks like that... But she was enraptured by passion and truth. She wanted... To see Rahma live his truth.

Her eyes only left him from there to glance at the menu. She hadn't come for a pastry, but... It was something to think about. Her fingers brushing those folds until he returned. Carrying two cups in a tray.
"Thank you, Sir Rahma." She smiled, and stood up. Taking the tray was easy, she didn't want to spill any of it. "Though, if you're sure you want to help me more~" She trailed off a bit with that. As if teasing him with an idea. "How about you bring two of those shortcakes on your menu to Copenhagen once the sun sets." She balanced the tray in one hand as she pulled out several more yen, some of which was a very generous tip. "For showing me hospitality here, I shall return your kindness and show you the most wonderful time possible. Don't ask what for, just consider it a surprise. After all, everybody needs a little chaos in their lives."

She hardly waited for an answer, and left. She would leave him slackjaw'd at her request, and chasing after her with his mind. Though, that was the fantasy. He might be a different kind of man. Either way, she wanted to see him again. She just had to hope he didn't chicken out or something.
The bell rung as she left. Leaving Aism Muzayaf and his master behind.

'Master... This is simply ridiculous.'
That was the only thing on Xerxes mind as he looked over the crowd. His only comment as he watched the mighty 'Hero' Heracles perform a show. It was degrading of a servant, much less a man of his presumed legacy. Was this really the man who was father of Sparta? He couldn't believe it. In fact, he was almost tempted not to. In fact, the spectacle on display was rather... Frustrating. It felt like watching an insult. He was actually preparing to turn and leave... When...

"The fate that the world shoulders us with, I will crush it with these hands. If your desire is of the same cloth, I would implore you to stand with me."

He paused, and for a moment... He believed that man was Heracles. The fate that the world shoulders with one... The fate to be a perfect king. To struggle against odds impossible. To rule the apex of the great Persia. Those words, despite not being aimed at him... Struck him like a hundred arrows. This man must surely be the great Heracles then. To take a shouldered destiny and crush it. To fight fate.
He admired that. But... If the choice was to shoulder the world, or to break those chains... The son of Persia's greatest heroes would bear it a hundred more times! He was King Xerxes!

But now was not the time. No, he would fight this Heracles when the time was right.
"Master, if you have any familiars, send them here. I shall keep my eyes on this Heracles as long as I can. I need to know what he and that other servant are going to discuss."

There was that burning of her command seal... Well shooooot, turns out this coffee shop had a mage in it. A mage in the grail war. As she peeked in, it was clear it could be one of the only two people in the building. Either the tall man changing into his uniform in public... Or the person answering the door. Chances were... The person at the door was a mage, and the other was their servant. Well, time to be really polite, and hope the servant was the nice guy sort.

“Welcome to Oasis. What kind of succor may we offer?”

Succor. It means support. In hard times and etc. She was actually kind of thankful the man seemed rather educated. Proved some kind of point she figured. She could tell he was faking it though. Her magecraft was in freedom of expression, so she knew when somebody was putting on a fake smile.

"Well, I figured I could use... A dark roast. Maybe sprinkle a little nutmeg in for a spike of flavor?" She really didn't know her coffee, but she figured that sounded nice, so it couldn't be that bad. "Oh, and can you make two? I'm ordering for a friend as well." She walked behind Rahma, smiling and even winking at Arash in the process.
"So, since the cafe is empty besides us, maybe you can tell me your name?" She said, directing this at Arash, since he was the only one of the two who didn't have a nametag. Probably a good idea, to keep his secret. Though, the way she said it was almost a flirt.

"Oh, and on the cup, put my name as... Ariadne, and my friend as... Friend, but with a little heart next to it." She added, directing Rahma a little. She figured he'd hate it, but at the very least it was probably something he put up with daily.
"To be honest, this is a rather nice little place you have going. You clearly set up quite the shop. I can see why Neko recommended I stop by sometime. You know, I think she likes you. Though that's just a rumor." She said, blabbering a little. She just had that bubbly chaotic energy, and she couldn't stand silence. "Don't tell her I told you that. But, I guess we'll be seeing a lot more of each other soon, you know? Since I plan to get a coffee each morning. I'm not really a coffee person, but your cute waiter boy over there kinda makes me wish I was."

Well, that wasn't too nice. The King of Persia scowled at that 'bird' delivered his way. Well, he had already been told not to get involved. So, it wasn't like he was going to attack them before, and he had even less reason to do so now. At the very least he knew this figure was... Well a stand out. They might have to talk later. Though with her attitude it probably said there wouldn't be an alliance any time soon. He turned his attention to the road, only to spot a less strange pair. They were talking to each other, and looking at the mage. He couldn't sense any magical energy from one of them, but the other? He caught a slight red on their hand from a distance. A mage. The other, maybe an assassin. He didn't think on it too hard, as the pair were clearly deciding against any kind of attack.

He lightly turned the handle on the motorcycle and began to pull off. After all, he had other things to investigate. Except... "Hey, did you hear Heracles is performing at the bank!"
Rider paused. Xerxes paused. His eyes wide as he looked at the talking duo of regular folk he had been ready to drive right on by. Heracles. The Spartans were descended from him. He knew this. He knew this, and his blood began to boil. He wasn't a Berserker, but he knew that if he was... He would be rampaging right now. He hit the gas, and peeled off. After all, he already completed one mission... Now, for something personal.

"One moment." That was all Ariadne needed to find something good to wear. She opened her bag, and began to rifle through it. Pulling out what looked like a rather simple shirt and pants combo. It was actually pretty bland as far as outfits went, and could blend in remarkably well. Of course it would, she bought it at the airport on the way here. The only thing about it that stood out was the icon on the shirt. One of a big, fat lion wearing sunglasses. Sitting on top of the words 'Just lion about.' Classy.

"This will do perfectly." Ariadne said, with a smile and handed them over to her new Servant. She also pulled out some sunglasses and put them right on his head. She turned away to let him change, and was already heading down the stairs. She stood by the doorway, waiting for him just to be sure.

"Well, aren't you the most strapping fellow in the world." She said, watching her newly dressed servant walk down the stairs.
"Where did he come from?" Neko, the pub's owner, said.
"He came in with me. You must have missed him. He's pretty forgettable." Ariadne said, hoping that would answer that question. It seemed to do so as Neko took that answer, and didn't ask another. With that out of the way, the mage and her servant were heading directly out the door. Suddenly assaulted from both directions by the sounds of the city waking up. In one direction, there seemed to be a man loudly talking about Fruits of Ecstasy. Not a bad place to stop by. Could enjoy a fruit smoothie...
Or... She had been speaking earlier with the owner of Copenhagen, who had suggested a coffee shop that was close by. Both were enticing.

"So, Lion O, how about this. You go to the smoothie place, and get two smoothies. Pick a flavor you like for both of us. I'm going to go the coffee shop, and do the same. When we get back, we trade. One hot, and one cold drink." She said, as if that made sense. "Besides, if anything goes wrong, we're in each other's minds." She tapped her forehead. "I'll summon you if I run into anybody I consider a danger, okay?" She waited only long enough for him to agree, and then started walking away.

She knocked on the door, and then the bell rung. Signifying a customer had arrived. "Hello there, are you open for business? It looked pretty dead from the outside, but it's still morning so I figured it might just be a slow morning."

Xerxes knew his master would seek to build a relationship. But... He wasn't sure if he was comfortable with that. He was after all a famous king and destroyer of the Greek world. And even then, was he comfortable forging a relationship with a man who clearly took pleasure in killing people who could no longer fight back?
Perhaps they were compatible in a way he had not yet realized. Perhaps it was he, Xerxes, who was more like this Master than he'd wish to admit. Or even dare thinking.

Perhaps he should ignore it. Focus on other things. Like finding some others. He stood out, but he still looked fairly modern. So, it couldn't be all that bad. Either way, he turned his mind to the hunt. Find enemies... Or in a better case. Allies. To do this, he was taking a motorcycle. Was it his? Probably not. To be honest, it belonged to the woman who was in the house, currently losing her life. The vehicle may have been one of the reasons she had died. So that Rider could have something... Non-Attention Grabbing to utilize. Either way, it was a very nice motorcycle. Rider had to take a few seconds to really appreciate it, before throwing his leg over it. Twisting the handle, and...

VVVvvvvvvrRRrrrooOOOM! He was off. Exhaust trailing behind him for a few seconds before settling off. He wasn't sure where he was going, but he knew his god would guide him. It wasn't long before a feeling entered his body. Hitting the brakes gently and petering out, the motorcycle crawled to a stop. His foot out, resting on the ground and ready to kick off at a moments notice. He turned his head, wondering just where he had stopped...

A... Convenience Store. Right there, across the street from where he had pulled up, was two individuals. He didn't need to be a genius to tell that pair was odd. Considering the amount of chocolate in those bags. He said nothing, just watching. Keeping a semi-active eye on them. Alert.

"Master, I have identified two possible grail war participants. Should I get involved?" Xerxes transmitted to his master. After all, they could be allies. Or... Enemies. He hoped it was the former, not the later.
