It had been awhile since the Elk demi had left the forest. Primarily because she got lost in it.. Not that she could truly get lost when she has no destination whatsoever. She spent a lot of time bumping into various travelers that hiked through the forest, but didn't really get much from them outside of pity and a fruit or two. Not that it bothered the little girl very much. Being given a fruit was like being given a pile of candy, except she didn't know what candy was so the entire simile was lost already. Most travelers were worried that such a young child was in the 'dangerous' forest all by herself, but due to her generally neutral, innocent aura, most animals seemed pretty docile around her, if not disinterested in her. Some travelers were upset at the mere sight of her; needless to say, she left those people alone with haste. Mean people were mean.

After a few days of walking, a big gate caught Elanil's eyes. It was unlike anything she had ever seen in her.. relatively short life. The sound of bickering from the group that stood past the gates were completely shut out by the child's fascination with the mansion that stood beyond them. Elanil began to walk toward it as if she had been hypnotized, her eyes wide in awe of the structure. So much so that she didn't even notice anyone in the vicinity. The dragon-lady, the knight on a horse, the muscled guy. Such oddities weren't.. odd enough to take her attention away from the structure, her gaze seeming to look passed them.

Her bare feet softly patted against the cobblestone road as she walked ever closer to the mansion. It wasn't long before she just.. walked into the mansion. She stood in shock for a moment as the scenery seemed to suddenly change. It was all different. Everything so shiny too. She liked it. Her eyes wandered around the place as she started moving forward once more, not actually looking where she was going... 'Thump.' She bumped into something.. Or someone? Elanil broke out of her trance as her buttocks met the ground in a comical fashion. A taller lady with short white hair and red eyes stood before her. The demihuman looked at the tall woman in confusion. Where did this person come from? Were they there the whole time?

As they walked down the passage, Kat constantly glanced at the Halion that walked beside her. She didn't know what to say or how to act around them. She couldn't relate to their violent exploits as she was merely an engineer. Although a few things might interest both of them.. The Engineer flinched slightly when Quinn broke the silence, talking about.. Procreation.. Fortunately for Katyusha, her heavy blush was concealed by her EVA helmet. "I-I.. Uh.." She stammered before realizing that the Halion had already changed the subject to 'crushing the opposition'. Perhaps not a great topic to change to, but it was certainly better than the previous one.

The drones that Quinn spoke of reminded her of the Hunter drone prototypes she worked on as a teenager. She didn't think they'd spread that far.. wherever her home world was. "D-Dimitri is a Surveyor drone, he's not equipped for combat.. Yet." She began, her voice suddenly becoming more clear as if something just clicked in her head."But when I do get my hands on some materials, I plan on integrating a self-defense system; perhaps using one of the experimental weapons that I was working on in the workshops on Faren V.. Maybe a railgun is too much.." She continued, seeming to be in her own world just making spoken notes about what she plans to work on when she can.

It wasn't long before the pair made it to the power generator. Katyusha immediately approached the door on the other side of the room, opening it and approaching the power core that stood in the center. She observed it for a moment to check for any damaged wires, which there were none.. At the core anyway. Exiting the room again, she approached the command terminal, opening the hatch underneath it. The wires had been ripped out for some unknown reason, but it was repairable. She tapped a command into her wrist controller, calling Dimitri over. A small compartment on the side of it's body exposed some spare wires among other materials. The engineer quickly got to work, replacing the wire and soldering them in place with her multi-tool.

Slapping the hatch closed, she got back onto her feet, activating the terminal with great success. She tapped a few commands into the terminal bringing the power core back online, the lights flickering to life once more. "Systems online. Initiating colony status check." The AI stated as a list of items opened on the screen. It would seem that many of the systems were operational, if not slightly damaged. Such things could be rectified in due course.

"Cryopod chamber status: Negative. One out of five operational. Attempting to repair Cryopod systems."
Vaeri enjoyed the atmosphere of the Knife's Edge, despite it's somewhat sinister name. She hadn't been here for more than a few days, but she had become acquainted with some of the patrons in this establishment, especially with some of the more brutish men that enjoyed their arm wrestling bouts. There was no better way to get acquainted than to join in on their fun, not that she managed to beat any of them. She did, however, earn some respect since she was able to hold her own against them for even a short while. They didn't speak much outside of their cheering, laughter, and grunts; but they were good company nonetheless. After spending the last couple of days drinking with the other patrons, she noticed that the man she sought after was not here.. Yet. Described to her as handsome, but dangerous looking, among other adjectives. He was nowhere to be seen, until now.

The four figures stood out from the crowd, their presence within the tavern seemingly stronger than the others. A dwarf, a.. Fey, half elf? And two humans. The human that stood seemed different from the rest that she had seen before. Perhaps he had an interesting story laying beneath his menacing aura and scars. Her gaze moved between each of the four. She felt a slight excitement well up inside her. Things were going to be interesting.. If they let her join the crew that is.

Slowly, she walked towards the noble-looking man as he waved away a would-be crew member. From the side she heard someone call out "Vaeri! C'mere for another wrestle! Hahaha!", it was one of the bulky men who looked like he was going to start a bar brawl. She waved at him, as if to say 'Not tonight.' He shrugged in response before sitting back down. It would seem that a small queue had formed in front of her, so she stood back, allowing the ones in front to finish speaking to the... Quartermaster? Captain? Recruiter? Whatever the title, he was important enough to warrant a queue.

The Elf observed the two women in front of her. Sage, and Vaia. Names she took note of as they introduced themselves. Both were much shorter than her, but were also fairly muscled. It was best not to underestimate anyone that wishes to join a crew. Vaeri smiled slightly at the confidence that both brought to the table, patiently waiting for her turn.

When the two women had finished speaking to the man, she stepped forward. "I am Vaeri, a Great Clan Elf. I have traveled from the far north to come here." She greeted the recruiter with a nod; her tone of voice was quite calm and held a subtle air of confidence. The Elf pat the head of her axe which hung on her belt. "Like Vaia, I am a trained warrior, and in truth I only seek to learn of the other cultures of this world. And perhaps learn about you and your companions in the process." Her unwavering gaze falling upon the foreigner and the Elf that stood at either side of the nobleman.

"But in your eyes, I'll be a mere mercenary, no?" She ended, giving the handsome man a warm smile.
My apologies, pretty busy. I'll have a post up tonight, hopefully.

Gotcha! Though there'll be less info on the Elf and particularly the foreigner for flavor sake. That mystery, ya know?

Inb4 the foreigner is trying to regain his honour.
I'm quite interested in this one! I hope it's not full up already. (Or dead even.)

Is it restricted to Western dragons or am I allowed to be a noodle dragon?
I guess we'll form a nice queue, ay?
He's dead and we've killed him.
