@Roosan Good catch.

@Zeroth Perhaps put under the Rank portion, "Knight (Specialization: Consular)" or something of the sort? Or if you'd like you could separate them into different categories in the CS? I'm not too picky about these things.

And while TrĂ kata isn't an actual "Lightsaber Form" it is indeed a good supplement to Shii-Cho and Soresu, giving the defensive Soresu a more offensive capability. I'll allow it. Just understand it is a very difficult style of lightsaber combat to effectively master. I will allow you to have knowledge of one additional Form if you'd like, given TrĂ kata is a supplementary style rather than a Form.

Hmm . . . and some may have already decided to follow Revan, though they are not out at battle yet.

Mostly just nitpicky stuff. Get these minor things fixed up and you can move your CS to the Characters tab. :)

EDIT: For some reason forgot to mention that the images for the lightsaber and robes seem broken.
Excellent! I'm so glad for the interest shown in this RP. If everyone from the Interest Check comes over, we'll have 8 players, which isn't a bad number in my opinion. Speaking of the IntChk, the idea had been pitched over there for multiple factions being playable, and while I am considering it, we'll need a few more players to really make that possible.

EDIT: lol ninja'd. Reading your CS right now Zeroth.
So glad everyone seems excited for this RP. And @AbysmalDemon I'm glad this was a good sort of "welcome back" for you. This is honestly growing to be way more popular than I ever thought it would be. Now I just hope I can deliver by making this RP as awesome as it sounds like it might be haha

Just realized I should prolly put the OOC link in the OP of this thread as well. Will have that done in a moment.
Finally have a relatively free day tomorrow. Been so busy in RL I've hardly had time to gather my thoughts. Going to try to get a post up, assuming I don't end up busy without notice.

IDK yet if this was a good or bad time in what I'm doing to boot up an RP, but I guess I'll just have to hope the Force is with me in that (shameless self-advertising *shot*)

EDIT: Oh wow I just realized I never updated my CS for the Level Up I got on week 12. 0.0 Gonna go fix that and then I'll have my post up.
@Zeroth We're rewriting a bit of what happened in the original games to fit the new canon, so really, you could probably come into this with relatively little knowledge of the Legends continuity. (Legends vs. Canon is confusing with the Disney control over the series now)

Also, while Revan DID eventually fall to the dark side, there were some VERY light-sided ideals behind joining the war, even if the council disagreed, as the council was content to sit back and not fight, while Revan looked to protect the innocents being harmed by the war. One does not need a dark-sided mindset to join the war effort.

I'm not sure if it might work having characters spread across different factions, though, unless of course this were to grow large enough that we could have GMs for each. If this is what you guys want, I'm game, but you'll have to invite some friends so we can have wnough players for split factions. After all, I'm all for freedom (the more freedom, the better), I just want to make sure that that freedom doesn't end up with our characters so far separated that it kills the RP.

And yay! This is plenty to start the RP. I just got the OOC up here.

32 ARK (After the Rise of Exar Kun)

Taris

Upper City

Republic Commodore Saul Karath observed the aftermath of the recent Battle of Taris. "Accursed Mandalorians. They leave nothing but carnage in their wake. Where are your friends when we need them, Jedi?"

"They prefer not to take action," a hooded female said to the officer. "We act when attacked, and will attempt to diffuse a tight situation, but we do not fight wars."

"But you have fought today," Saul replied, slightly confounded.

"I along with the rest of the Tarisian Jedi here on-planet. We were attacked. It is only natural that we should defend."

"Then you won't fight with us in the remainder of the war?"

"Unfortunately, the Council forbids it."

"It may be out of place for me to say so, but your Council sounds cowardly."

"Perhaps so, but their orders are final."

Saul released a long sigh, then turned to face the Jedi directly. "I will have to do my best, then, to change their minds."

"May the Force be with you, Saul Karath. For your Republic's sake."

Coruscant

Jedi Temple - Council Chambers

Before the gathered Jedi High Council, a pre-recorded hologram message crackled to life. Before them stood a flickering, transparent blue image of a Republic Naval Officer. "A massive threat looms over us. There is something greater than the Mandalorians at work here. Something darker . . . and much more powerful. Please, you must send aid bef-r- -he- st--k- ag--n. . . . [static]" The image and message fizzed out before completion, the signal seemingly jammed.

"Another request for help? They are becoming more frequent," Kavar noted as the hologram disappeared.

"And understandably so," Grand Master Sunrider added. "They are in need of help. Unfortunately, the Jedi are not in a position to do much. Last time there was war within the Jedi, many fell to the Dark Side. We cannot afford such a tragedy to befall this Order again."

"But even those Jedi at Taris are suffering. We have lost members who studied there as well. Not a day goes by that I do not hear from those of us stationed there," Xamar pointed out.

"Even Lucien and I receive messages from them here," Krynda Draay spoke up. She and her son were only speaking to the council via hologram, as they were stationed on Ilum with a group of Initiates beginning their training.

"The situation is grave, but we cannot afford to go to war. It is dangerous," said Lonna Vash.

"Perhaps there will come a point at which we will have no choice, but the Republic must fight its own battles for now," Vrook Lamar explained.

As he finished, the door to the chamber opened, and one of the Temple Guards entered. "I have a Jedi Knight named Revan outside. He seeks audience."

"Let him in," Atris allowed.

The guard exited, and moments later, Revan stood before the council. "I have come to speak concerning the war. I speak on behalf of many of my peers when I say that we are concerned for the Republic, and for our fellow Jedi on outlying worlds. We heard there were not only Republic casualties in the recent battle, but also Jedi deaths. If we were to act, many feel that the war would be over quickly."

"Death is a natural part of life. It is tragic that their lives ended so early, but they are now with the Force. They will live on through it," Dorjander Kace said.

"Indeed," interjected Zez-Kai Ell. "Many times in a war, it is not best to charge the enemy, even with the casualties it brings. Patience and meditation in the Force will reveal the correct time to act, if there ever is one. You must follow the Force, not your emotions."

"As grieved as you may be, Revan," Zhar Lestin added, "you must give us time. We understand mourning your comrades. It is only natural. But for now we must remain still."

"But if we do as you say, how will we bring the justice these Mandalorians deserve?" Revan inquired. "Not only have people died, but they will continue to die if we don't protect them! They are destroying planets! Destroying our own Jedi! We have to stop them!"

"Is it justice you seek?" Atris asked. "Or perhaps revenge?"

"Does it matter? We have to fight them off! If we lend our help to the Republic the war would be over!"

"Have you forgotten the nature of the Jedi, Revan? We are to be peacekeepers, not warriors," explained Lucien.

"Lucien speaks the truth," Vandar Tokare said. "You must calm yourself and search for the answers through the Force. Only then, will you find the answers you seek."

"But-"

"Enough, Revan," Master Sunrider interjected. "The council has made its decision on the war. The Jedi will not be fighting in this war until further notice. You are dismissed."

At the top of the stairs of the Processional Way leading into the Jedi Temple, Alek Squinquargesimus began speaking to the Jedi he had gathered there. "My brothers and sisters!" he began. "Beyond Coruscant and into the Outer Rim, as you know, the Mandalorians lead sieges against the worlds controlled by the Republic. Day after day, they kill innocent people, the soldiers who protect them, and any Jedi in the fields who stand in their way. They seek to test the power of the Republic, and wish to destroy the Jedi.

"They fail to understand our power. Without the Force, they cannot stop us!" As he spoke, Revan joined his side and muttered something in his ear. "Even with this carnage outside our borders of comfort," Alek continued, "the Jedi Council refuses to act! Yet should the Mandalorians conquer the Outer Rim, they will only move Coreward! How can we, the Jedi, the protectors of peace and the symbol of hope for this Galaxy allow this madness to continue?

"Thus, we must move into action, even should it be against the orders of the Council! They say we are not warriors, yet we hold swords at our belts! Let us use these swords and the powers of the Force we have been granted and rescue the Republic from its enemies! Let us rise against the evil and restore peace to the galaxy! Let us ride to the rescue of our brothers who have died, and drive this Mandalorian threat back to its home, and let them see that the Jedi are a force to be reckoned with! Let us do our duty! For the sake of the galaxy! For the Republic!" Saying this, he unhooked his lightsaber from his belt, ignited it, and raised it skyward. His chest heaving, he smiled down at the other sabers being raised in conjunction with his own.

There were those who still seemed puzzled or against his cause, yet many of them agreed. Even if these were all that would follow them, this number would be a great asset to the Republic. Behind Alek, Revan spoke to his friend quietly, "You have done well, my friend. Now that you have their hearts behind us, we must lead them into battle."

It has been 32 years since Exar Kun has terrorized the Galaxy. The Republic believed it had restored peace, yet there is something far more sinister brewing that they are yet blind to.

Recently, a dark emissary approached Mandalore the Ultimate with an offer that the Mandalorians would not soon pass up. Not only a chance to quench the thirst of their warrior spirits, but also to create the galaxy as their own utopia. The only condition was to submit to the rule of the Sith, and fight on the front lines for them.

The process took little convincing, and thus the Mandalorians took to the nearest major Republic outpost they could find: Taris, resulting in the First Battle of Taris. While the Republic was victorious, initially, the Mandalorians have not given up the fight. Their numbers and fleet were staggering to the Republic, and as the Mandalorians move for Onderon, the Republic is beginning to understand just how much the Mandalorians mean.

Pleading for the aid of the Jedi Order, the Republic gathers its forces in hopes that they can fend off this threat, but the enemy is growing, and a dark shadow stretches over the Republic. To make matters worse, the Jedi insists on neutrality in this conflict, claiming they are not warriors, but instead peacekeepers, and fighting this war would destroy their meaning.

Even with such a grim threat, the pleas of the Republic have not fallen on deaf ears. Two companions among the Jedi have been moved by the stories they hear from the Republic and have no intention of sitting still, even if it means their exile from the Jedi Order. These two Knights plan tirelessly for what they intend to do behind the backs of the Jedi High Council.

The fate of the Republic, the galaxy, and even the Jedi rest on the shoulders of these two, and of those who follow....

While the original Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic games may not be considered canon anymore, there has recently been a great deal of reference to the series on part of the director of the Star Wars: Rebels animated series, Dave Filoni. Namely, this is the inclusion of Malachor in the season 2 finale, Twilight of the Apprentice. So, this naturally got a fan of the KotOR series like me interested in the thought of, "What might have happened to have led up to the 'Great Scourge of Malachor' referenced in the episode?"

So after some thought, I mixed some concepts from both Legends and the Canon, and this was the product. Not to say this RP would be Canon, but it is a possible situation that could result in the wasteland we see on Malachor in Twilight of the Apprentice.

As for characters, varying Jedi of different prestige would work well. I'm going to say no more than one or two characters per player, just to keep things manageable, but if you truly feel the need to make more characters, I may allow it.

Also, characters should be of any rank of Initiate (Youngling), Padawan, or Knight, with Masters reserved for GMs (so leaders OOC are also leaders IC), and ABSOLUTELY NO COUNCIL-LEVEL MASTERS, whether High Council or outlying Councils (i.e.: the Dantooine Enclave Council, the Tarisian Jedi Council, etc.).

Each character should have certain Lightsaber Forms they specialize in. Of course, Initiates would largely only know how to use Shii-Cho (Form I), and even then not very well (unless they're some kind of prodigy). Padawans would know Shii-Cho and likely have training in one of the other six forms. Knights could have knowledge of 3-4 forms. More than that would be unlikely. As for those who RP Masters: 4 forms; 5 tops. List of Forms with links to their Legends Wookieepedia pages below.

Form I: Shii-Cho
Form II: Makashi
Form III: Soresu
Form IV: Ataru
Form V: Shien & Djem So
Form VI: Niman
Form VII: Juyo (Ignore details concerning Vapaad for this RP; doesn't exist until Mace Windu develops it c. the Clone Wars)

I may or may not make a character of my own. There are going to be a LOT of NPCs for me to control, so that'll keep my hands full for the time being. I do ask, however, that all characters have a reason to be on Coruscant, in the Jedi Temple, as things will officially kick off with Alek (the man who will become Darth Malak) giving his recruitment speech.

I would request that players keep tabs on all the items they gather throughout the RP so we don't have, say, the same Medpac used 5 different times because we forgot it had already been used. It's minor updates to the CS that shouldn't be too difficult to track. Also, please post your characters in the OOC first so that we keep only the accepted characters in the Characters Tab. That would help me tremendously with organization.

Any questions I have left unanswered, you may ask (as I'm a forgetful man) and I will make sure and give an answer as soon as possible.

Also, the IC is cleared for posting! Though the Holonet is not yet in working order, it will be soon enough.
