In sometimes hold a fairly popular lower end type tournament.
When it's serious, I don't troll. The only time we get really unfriendly is when someone comes in and tries to bosshog the arena into their way of thinking. Otherwise, we are quite capable, and often do, hold friendly conversations and competitions. All it takes is spending time in here and seeing how the community operates on a regular basis.
We are friendly. Ans collaborative. And competitive.
We both know I wont.
How long until you disappear again?
Myyearbook before it deleted he forums(the most active part of the site. Literally one of our to posts had 1000000+ posts). Then moved here and spent time on Gateway

Does it make you stronger or does it make you a noninclusive community?!

Now that I think about it, I imagine a lot of Arena’s reputation is bloated due to certain marque members reputations outside of it more than it has anything to do with Arena itself. This, of course, isn’t really a problem that can be fixed but as long as personal attacks are slugged around it really just ends up being jovial shitposting in the end. Still, it does not hurt to be inviting.

Ultimately, I suppose the definitive question for the subforum is this: What can you do to retro-act the illicit reputation that Arena and its users seem affected by?

Nothing, don't even bother too. Spam had a similar reputation, but after spending a long time in there - and that's all it took - most of them were pretty cool. Some of them are phenomenal RPers. Same with here. When I ran Allaria, my baby, several people from both Spam and the arena joined(over total incarnations, I said around 70 interest, and about 50 accepted characters), and it was glorious.

As another example, when I first met Melonhead, he was an argumentative little twatwaffle. But we became friends. He's still a argumentative twatwaffle. But hes dope as shit and can probably take anyone here in an arena fight.
People are still in my arena. Why. Get out. I need sleep. Or to start Way of the Warrior again.
Shit. You fucks woke Guru up
I don't want to see the arena merged, at all. There is, in my opinion, nothing inherently wrong with the current layout - at all.

Arena sections are a staple on most, if not all, roleplaying sites. If you think this one is dead, please never go to Gateway. While it may not be the most active forum on Guild, and it has never been, it has its place. While most fights are 1x1, our rules are different from a normal RP, either group or 1x1.

For Guild's current layout, it was perfectly suited and fine where it is. Such changes won't effect activity, a stated somewhere back before, and luckily has admittedly little chance of happening. Mahz actually gives us pretty free reign in there, and let's us try out our ideas - hence the leaderboard he implemented on our suggestion.

My take on it, is leave it alone. We dint bother people, don't need to share a space, and in general, handle things in a way that works for us.
