In Vella's mind right now:

"This is similar to a Geth Drone. Mostly used for recon and stealth kills. Fragile but powerful. But if you require something a bit heavier, we can make further re-calibrations."

Vella's purple eyes visibly widened as the Asari leaned forward to look down at the piece that Phalanx had presented to her, picking up the small drone and holding it in her hands.

"It's so pretty! I really like the sleek curves on that design!" Vella said as she moved her other hand to the piece as well, moving it about as her eyes darted about the drone; inspecting every little angle from every possible crevice; the Asari seemingly so fixated upon the little drone that in her mind she completely forgot about the towel wrapped around her as it unfolded and fell right off, leaving her in the nude as she studied the drone in a moment, as if possessed by it!

It took a while for Vella to begin placing the drone back onto the table, and her brain started registering the last part of the Geth's message.

"You can make it even bigger?" Vella exclaimed in a suddenly hush tone, almost as if she was about to ask for the forbidden fruit.

As if she suddenly found herself in a conspiracy, Vella's eyes darted towards the door to the room, still shut and with no sound of anyone knocking or about to enter, and then back to the ever bright and innocent looking lamp-head that was Phalanx's strangely unnerving yet adorable face.

"Just... how heavy can you make this combat drone?" Vella asked, leaning in closer, her voice lowered to almost a whisper.
"What if, say, I was to go down to engineering and... sort out a deal to get the best parts. How big of a drone could you make do you think?"

*

The next day, Vella found herself with the rest of the team and crew, gathering in the hangar. She was wearing only her standard issue Asari leathers with their simple kinetic barrier system, the black leather with its gray white, hexagonal trim sitting tightly on her body like a second skin, her armor still in her locker. Although often referred to as leathers, the suit was hardly normal leather; it was more chemically treated plastic and specialized rubber elements to the point it could hardly be called 'leathers' anymore. It gave it a high degree of flexibility, and properly fitted, it was almost the same as wearing nothing at all.

Looking around the hangar, Vella felt at ease. Mostly.

She didn't mind the Turians. Although they made an effort to look like tough hardasses who were entirely incapable of understanding concepts like "emotions" or "compassion", Vella knew that behind their thick scales, most Turians were fairly emotionally stable. If anything, war & disaster seemed to be a healthy thing on the Turian psyche. Vella had heard that suicide rates among turians were never lower than when they were at war, ironically.

However, it was mostly the Vorcha that kept Vella at unease, and her arm drifting unnaturally close to the Acolyte pistol at her side.

Vorcha were aggressive, impulsive, short thinking; and as a society, incapable of forming any semblance of social order. Vella had been to areas populated mostly by Vorcha, and at those times, she had mostly looked down at dusty, crime ridden streets of disorder and chaos, through the camera of a remotely operated vehicle turret!
Having them on the same ship as the rest of the crew was ludicrous. She was confident that the Vorcha were just a ticking time bomb, and the only logical explanation for their presence here would be that the higher ups viewed this mission as too dangerous to risk the lives of some of their actual fighter pilots.

She had to admit, if you needed cannonfodder, Vorcha were not a bad choice.

She just didn't want to be with the cannonfodder!!

"This is not the time for second guessing, Vel! Just don't call for air support during the mission, and everything is going to be alright!"

Vella shoved the thoughts out of her head to focus on the briefing instead. She had missed the part about why the refugees were fighting against... someone... but she had heard the bit about there being a bomb, and that it needed to be diffused, and so naturally, raised her hand.

"Yeah, uh, how do we plan on finding this bomb?" Vella inquired, turning towards Aegon.
"Because if we don't know how yet, I may have a few ideas!"

@PrivateVentures :O

Did you break anything?
@PrivateVentures
Fucked up your back?

Writing can be tough on your back ^^

Are you sure you're in the right RP for that? xD
"Join you in the showers or assisting in building more drones and weapon tech? Either way, I am willing to lend assistance when I can."

"Eeeeeehhhhh... it might be best if you only join me for the drone building part!" Vella answered after a short, awkward pause with Phalanx; as mental images of Phalanx and her in the shower, ending in every other way except well; usually with Phalanx in question short-circuiting and electrocuting Vella in the process!

"That would be bad... !"

"Good morning to both of you, pardon me for a moment."

The comment would immediately throw Vella off guard as Aviza came by to greet them good morning. The Asari's face, currently stuck in a 'what-the-heck 'facial expression, would shift over to gaze at Aviza as she walked away, before centering on Phalanx once more.

"It's not morning until at least a couple of hours... !"

...

"Still! Back to the Drone part! Come with me, and I'll show you to my room!" Vella said after grabbing onto Phalanx's hand, almost trying to pull the 7ft tall robot with her; which ended up with her tugging at Phalanx for a moment before the machine followed after her.

A few moments later, a freshly washed and still slightly wet and dripping Vella came out of the shower with a towel wrapped around her, and walked over to the center of the room where she had basically left Phalanx in front of a small table filled to the brim with random pieces of electronics, micro-turrets, miniature anti-grav engines and explosive charges strewn haphazardly across the table. Most of the occasional plating was soft, curved chrome plates, typical of Asari engineering and construction in general.

"I go nowhere without a small set of spare parts." Vella took the moment to answer any possible question that might be hanging in the air before she sat down at the workbench next to Phalanx, before starting to pick up some of the pieces and giving them a thoughtful look.

"Which is rather handy, as I lost both my drones during our last little encounter. I need to build some new ones, yet I haven't decided on a design yet." Vella explained, before tilting her head and giving Phalanx a funny look.
"I personally was thinking of making a heavier turret drone. Maybe not include a suicide charge this time so I don't have to replace them that often. Although... I do wonder if you had any suggestions as to a new design!"

Vella said, her tone betraying a sense of enthusiasm and curiosity as she looked back over at Phalanx, and then motioned towards the the workbench and tools in front of her, as well as the parts strewn about the bench!

Thought you should know Vella's reference picture is the 4th image hit on Google if you search 'Mexta Sword'

Whaaa? xD

What does Vella and Mexta Sword have in common! ^^
"Now you wear it so you don't get in much trouble, okey?"

Vashi glanced down at the caged necklace, then back up at Mei, then down at the necklace, and again back up at Mei; her face flush with bot surprise, embarrassment and even a small bit of agitation!

"You're giving me your luck charm?" Vashi said sharply. She felt touched, but at the same time, it all felt deeply wrong. She hadn't even examined the necklace to tell if it actually held any true magical power or if it was simply a personal pretty bauble, but it still didn't make her feel comfortable about this.

"Mei! You are going to go off to fight a giant demon! And a Death Knight! A giant, demonic death knight! If anything, you should keep i,-

*Hiss*

"Eeeeuuuhh???"

Vashi's expression turned from agitated into a confused frown as she gazed back up at Mei, who's hair was now a large, vicious collection of live snakes that moved around on their own, snapping and hissing at the air and any other Draenei in the bank that came too close to her!

It was, quite frankly, a rather unsettling sight!

"Mei! Are you alright?!"

The Night Elf mage first threw Mei a look of deep concern, then glanced over at where the perpetrator had once been; there being nothing left of Zazi's presence other than a rapidly disappearing thin cloud of arcane mist.
Apparently whoever this Zazi Draenei was, she had become very adept at bugging whenever an altercation had occurred, which admittedly spoke a lot about her character...

"Hold on, let me try to help!" Vashi said as she chanted up a charm spell, aiming her staff at the hissing snakes on Mei's head as she cast a spell of lethargy, sapping some of the will and energy from the snakes as they began to suddenly move much more slowly and slovenly, as if merely moving required a tremendous amount of willpower.

"Is that better?! ... we at least won't have to worry about you accidentally devouring any passer-bys... "

"CUTIEBUM! I'M COMING FOR YOOOOOOOOU!"

As a matter of fact however, Malizia would rather NOT come for Kathlin, as the Gryphon rider carrying her precious little human priestess managed to narrowly fly right below the soaring demoness; as Malizia flailed effortlessly after her with her arms.

"NOOOO! SWEEETIE! COMES BACK!!"

The giant, green eyed demoness would call out as she continued to 'fly' through the air, madly flapping her wings in an uncoordinated movement around her, and clearly failing, as gravity began to pull her back towards the city below...

*CRASH!*

A plume of dust would be thrown dozens of feet into the air high above Stormwind's trade district!

The short, white apron wearing man who had been standing behind his desk in his cheesery stared forward in wide eyed bewilderment as two enormous, voluptuous red orbs of demonic flesh had just demolished the entire front of his shop! As Malizia slowly recovered from her fall, she managed to pull her own chest out of the cheesery, shaking her head as ruin and debris fell from her hair, and turned around to look back at the now escaping silhouettes of the gryphon rider carrying her beloved Kathlin!

"Oh no! You come back, my love! I promise I would destroy this entire city if that was just your desire!" Malizia called out with a lovestricken, forlorn voice as she got back onto her hooves and bounded across the city in a wild chase after Kathlin! The giant demon made a couple of leaps, madly flapping her wings and even managing to glide a few moments through the air, high above the building! But just as much of Malizia's chase consisted of her falling over and tripping on awkwardly placed buildings and stone walls, frantically crawling forward only to take an accidentally head-dive down into the canal!

"HIIIIIIYAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!"

Aleena screamed out in a crazed battle cry as the Night Elven warrioress flew high above the rooftops of Stormwind, having mere minutes ago been fired by the the catapult by Serphia and the rest of her warriors; her having been the only volunteer!

In her grip, and pointed forward, she held the long, sanctified pike she had received from Serphia; held out in front of her as she flew through the air, and pointed directly towards the distant target that was Malizia's big, red and winged form as it crashed through the city!
Her hair flowed freely out from behind her black, ornamental Night Elven helmet, and Aleena could feel the passing air cause her shimmering elven eyes to begin to water!

However, as she continued her approach towards Malizia in a perfect trajectory, Aleena would suddenly spot a small, feathered object flying notably slower than her, yet rapidly approach.

*BLAM*

With little warning for neither party, although perhaps more for Liaena and Hester thanks to the Night Elf's war cry; Aleena would suddenly crash right into Liaena and her owl from behind in a mid-air collision that would result in said Night Elf warrior getting a face-full of owl as she let out an angry curse!

"Ashhh! Fowl-vel alan! Stupid bird!" Aleena said, losing her focus and lowering her pike as she instead tried to grab at Hester!

The impact of the small owl and smaller human had done little to slow Aleena's speed throughout the air. However, the impact of a big elf zooming in from behind had definitely given both Liaena and Hester a noticeable increase in speed; whether it be desired or not; in addition to the obvious bludgeoning damage!
