Okay, I will post in your old Int. Check and do another one in General, thus hopefully double the advertising we might get more peeps. lol

General Int. Check Thread
Removing the second polity thing might be a good idea, or they can only have another if their's dies, same as we have with Penultimate really. Sure thing, where would you prefer the Int. check? Advanced, or General? (As I guess you already have one in Casual anyway.)

No I was going to go Early Prometheus so no knowledge of the Ori also I haven't publicly mentioned it however the Wraith are basically my way of messing with you all in the forming of the fleet. Trying to force you together more by the antagonist in the group. They won't survive the first fight with the Ori beam weapons. That much I have planned, as they're not the most useful of ships with their inability to upgrade with this new tech.

I had no idea you had planned ahead that the Wraith would die, darn shame. lol
I'm not sure any of us will survive Ori beam weapons currently.

Sep said Also you do not to take a second Polity RogerD. It isn't compulsory. So far only myself and Pi have mentioned it and in both cases it is as a replacement when our current dies.

I know it isn't, but trying to find one that may be really helpful. Now Transhuman stuff is good as an Ori could waste my mind, I back up and then fax my ID to the ship which could then re-sleeve the ego into a new morph. Thus we get semi-disposable troops, or remote controlled bodies that we can send to their doom without any inherent losses.
Double post - ignore
@ Sep: Okay, I'll say go with the second option, as you already have one SG polity. I personally would not want to run the SG teams, Wraith and Imperials, it'd be total carnage. The amount of antagonism would be tremendous, the counterpoint though is that they are aware of the Ori and could help make anti-Prior weapons.

@ Matt: Did you still want to take Babylon 5 Excalibur type class?

For my second I am deciding whether to take Transhuman Space (I need to re-read the RPG again), Mindjammer 2nd Edition (again only skip read but looks cool) or possibly a Phase World ship (Palladium RPG). But I may veto them myself as being a little bit overpowered (they're 40K-esque, but they have magic, psychic powers, huge robots (oh my!) and other shenanigans.
Oh, just PM'd Click This too.
Sep said Depends, Empire would make you good martyrs. Jotunheim should appear where we all chill at afterwards. Will make things easier for you. Also, SUICIDE RUN!? It is what all dying ship commanders must do :P

And to make it even more epic, and the stakes higher have some reinforcements arrive and just as they do so his ship skims one, which then impacts another Venator, while his ship impacts near the middle and they all explode gloriously. Yeah, it is a bit billiards-like, but it would be a good end. Thoughts?
Sep said Well we could conveniently just drop out in the rough area? It was the same idea we had last time to go just out of the system. The Imps wouldn't check it as it is too close and it lets us get our bearings.

Cool, I need to wait for CT anyway.

Sundered Echo said Not to be confused with the Slipstream my ship uses, which is totally different and can be either really really fast or really really slow.

Which if good make the Asgard drives look slow in comparison. We should all get some of those.
Wraith hyperdrive is likely faster than OTL Warp, not so sure about nuTrek though. If you look at the script or novelisation of First Contact it took the Ent-E around 3 days to get to Earth (there is a cut scene obviously). In nuTrek that do Earth to Vulcan in five minutes (change of a shirt) which is 12 light years away. Then reach Kronos is hours in nuTrek, or virtually instantly on the way back. In short nuTrek is hideously fast, and it is why Click This made mention of it resembling slipstream which can cross around 10k lyrs in an hour.

Hope that helps you gauge it's rough velocity?
Queen Raidne said And RogerD, IC my characters are going to want to run the hell away.

Well we can win short term here, but long term they'll just throw ships at us till be cave I guess, so running is a good plan. Maybe to the edge of the system and maybe all agree some coordinates?

Queen Raidne said Oh, and do we want to split the party into three groups, or all of us meet up as one? I'm just thinking out loud.

I'd be inclined to say one party, then if we decide to split after that so be it. In fact it would be quite interesting if did exactly that.
