Sorry if the format for this is utter crap, I am posting from my phone.
Appearance: Perhaps the roughest looking Elf many will ever see, Jorwyn is not exactly a pretty sight. His craggy, narrow face has only one good feature, his brilliantly blue eyes.Years spent fighting has turned his once pale and smooth skin rough and tanned, covered in scars from his many battles. He keeps his jet black hair cropped short out of sheer practicality. He stands tall, at an imposing 6'3, built lean and mean. His right arm is covered in Wood Elven tribal tattoos, from his time training their militias. He has three scars across his back, one across his face, and a myriad on his arms.
He does his light Elven armor, underneath a roughly hewn green cloak he uses for scouting. The only sign of his considerable wealth is a small silver signet ring he wears around his neck.
Name: Jorwyn Intress
Age: 1277
Titles: Lord of Rainmark, Warden of the Western Marches, Sworn Sword to Her Majesty, High Queen Valere.
Race: Elf
Rank: Captain of the Elven Vanguard
Weapons: Jorwyn carries a bow, a saber, and a short spear.
Personality: An elf born to be a warrior, Jorwyn has always been known in Elven social circles as a rather odd fellow. Though he is known to be unfailingly polite, his appearance unnerves many of his fellow nobles. Among those he calls friends, he is known as an entirely different man. Known for his dry, sardonic humor and hisa biting disdain for many of his fellow nobles, his witty comments have earned him an equal number of friends and enemies.
On the battlefield, he is known as a ruthless and pragmatic tactician. Renowned in the Elven Army as both a hard and unforgiving commander, whose brutal tacticsa often results in heavy casualties for both sides.
Bio: Born the second son of an ancient Elven Noble house, Jorwyn enjoyed the finest education an Elf could ask for. Schooled in the histories, the natural sciences, and of course, combat. Beginning at age twenty, he practiced everyday with the saber and the bow. He was taught the tactics and history of Elven warfare, with every expectation of him becoming a fine Elven officer when he became of age.
Unfortunately for his parents and tutors, Jorwyn was a rebellious youth. Having great disdain for officers who earned their rank by merely being of noble blood, Jorwyn ran away from home at the age of 200.
Shortly thereafter, he enlisted in the Elven Army under a false name. After showing great promise with the bow and short spear (he hid his skikll with the saber as to not arouse suspicion), he was assigned to the Jahallan Battalion, the premier light infantry force of the Elven Army.
He saw this first action during a minor Goblin excursion, where he and his unit were ambushed. He fought valiantly and earned the three scars on his back from a particularly skilled Goblin Axeman. The minor excursion proved to be larger than initially thought, and so Jorwyn and his unit were cut off from the rest of the Elven Army. During this time, Jorwyn earned himself a field promotion after leading a counter-attack when his sergeant was killed.
Following this excursion, Jorwyn fought in a variety of campaigns and border skirmishes. One of particular note was when he killed an Orc Chieftqn in single combat, earning both a nasty scar across his face and a captain's commission.
Perhaps his most notable assignment was when he was ordered to put down an insurgency in the small Elven city of Hjaal. He captured and then publicly executed on the insurgency's leaders, leading to an all of war in the streets. He led his small task force through the brutal close-quarters urban combat, and captures the remainder of the insurgency's leaders. He of course publicly executed them as well.
Soon after he learned his older brother had passed from a summer fever, and that his family was in jeopardy with no heirs to inherit his ailing father's titles. So reluctantly, he returned home.
Needless to say, his return was quite a shock to his family, who had long presumed him dead. The story soon spread like wildfire through the noble gossip circles, and he found himself with a new title, "The Battleborne Lord". His father died soon after, and so Jorwyn inherited his land, titles, and considerable wealth.
Using his newfound wealth, Jorwyn helped fund a scouting and ranging unit under his command. After showing great success with this unit, he received funding from the High Queen herself to form a unit of " Shock Troopers", a new infantry unit formed of veterans and trained in close-quarters combat.
Extra: Though he owns a warhorse, he prefers to dismount for battle.
He likes to personally lead ranging parties, so he can assess the situation personally.
I'll add some more later, just tell me if I need to change anything.
