The country of Ethon is home to the popular Ring City, the place where anyone can be anything. Most people just choose to have average lives, working jobs and paying taxes but not everyone is who they seem to be. Most of the population within Ring City have acquired or developed their own unique superpowers. Some choose to use their powers for good while others are selfish and use them for different reasons. Because of this, the government keeps tabs on as many powered individuals as possible, monitoring them depending on the threat of their powers.
Ring City has its ups and downs. Quite literally. Having very different ways of life depending on where you live, be it high up in the Skyline, or down low in the mechanical working of the deep undercity. And these very different living conditions are what attract so many to Ring City. The hard work and fairly lawless undercity is the life some wish to lead, while others want to just float around in the middle. Ring City leaves these choices to you, but you have to work to get where you want to go, just like any other city.
Starting from the top, you have the Skyline. The Skyline is comprised of all the buildings that have earned the super-skyscraper status, this is where the richest of the rich stay. Being mostly expensive penthouses and where the wealthy businessmen work. The people who live in the Skyline often send down others to do things for them, like getting them food or cleaning their cars. But not all Skyliners are that pretentious. Security in the Skyline is fairly tight, mostly being private hired security forces.
Moving down you have the middle, known as… The Middle. There is a bit of everything in the Middle. This is where the largest portion of the population lives, living expenses are reasonable, food is good and the police do a pretty good job of keeping the streets clean. The Middle is the most flexible place to live simply because of the possibilities, and the opportunities. The housing is similar to the Skyline, the main differences being the height of the buildings, and how expensive the places are. You won’t find yourself swimming in a lava-lamp pool or watching TV on a 50 inch television. But you’ll still be living a good life.
Now you’re in the Undercity. For the hard working and tough, life down here isn’t easy, in fact it can get very messy. The people are less than lawful for the most part, but they respect one another. The housing here is fine, only real problems are the noise and the temperature. The lack of light makes it mostly cold, but if you’re living near one of the more powerful machines, they tend to produce a lot of heat. Speaking of the machines, the Undercity is full of them. These machines are most of the time linked to things like factories of the Middle. So what the machines do can vary greatly, but they are almost always noisy.
This is where you come in. You will be playing as a citizen of Ring City. It is time to find out what your place in society will be.
This is going to be a Fantasy Sandbox RP that will be focusing on freedom and player interaction. In this universe you will be allowed to do almost anything you want. You can use your imagination and build the world around you in different ways. Go outside your comfort zone and try new things. That is what we are trying to aim for.
I’m looking for players who are willing to be dedicated and active. I have ideas for regular events and storylines within the world to keep the RP fresh and fun. If you would like to suggest anything about the RP such as any storylines or locations, don’t be afraid to do so. With that said, we hope you have a fun and interesting experience.
- Standard Guild rules. No Godmodding, No auto hitting, No OP or perfect characters.
- This is a mature roleplay, so just about anything goes in terms of language, violence, sex, and all that fun stuff. You will still need to be keeping inside the Guild’s guidelines when it comes to this stuff. Be careful.
- GM has final say in any matter. If you wish to discuss anything, don't be afraid to.
- Don't make a fuss and start arguing in OOC. If there is something wrong, message the GM or Co-GMs and we will deal with the issue.
- Try to be active. If you're going on a hiatus for whatever reason, tell us beforehand. Don't just disappear without notifying anyone.
- There is no posting order in place, but make sure you let other people respond.
- Post CS in the OOC tab and wait to be accepted.
