I'm planning a Sci-Fi spectacle that involves the humans (Empire of the Sun) being the big bad antagonists, with some factions loyal to the humans (to not get destroyed), some factions against the humans (Including some splinter factions from the Empire of the Sun), and some nations being neutral.
I've had the idea for a couple years now, but I've never been able to do it because either a large Sci-Fi NRP is going on at the time or Sci-Fi NRPs aren't that popular on that forum.
Sadly (For me, not for the Forum) I am stuck with the first problem right now.

I've tried that before too, but more to avoid the sort of NRP entropy that advanced rpers like to do where everybody ignores each other and writes their own localized plots. It didn't work out so hot. Been trying to find out what exactly made PoW survive so long so it could be replicated, but thus far all I have is a bunch of duds that died in a month.

Since you've been here for a while, what seems to be the average length for a "Good" NRP to last.

Maybe because globalized, liberal societies are what most of us live in already, so they're boring. We want something different.

You aren't wrong, lol.
I think a Renaissance of sorts is happening lately NRP-wise.

Yeah, a large amount of Post-WW3s (Some explode, some don't) are happening, along with Fade, that one seems to have a chance to break the top 5.
