I'm the smiling face in the background of your nightmares. I'm the one who calls your name in a crowd. I'm in your mirror when you're not looking, and under your bed when you're not sleeping. I crawl through your pipes in the middle of the night and knock on the door in the middle of the day. I've taken a lot of interest in you. You should feel lucky.

Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry I disappeared on you guys. A lot started happening in the rp and, simultaneously, a lot started happening irl and I got swept up with it all. That said, it looks like this might end up being a bit of a fighting campaign. I don't think Piper will be able to provide too much help in that regard, so I might actually drop out of the roleplay if you guys are alright with that, and assume my little half-dwarf ran away to hide under her bed or something.

I'm so sorry for disappearing so long. Things got hectic IC and I started losing track, then things got hectic irl and I got swamped with some stuff.
Oh my. This escalated fast.

Would it be alright if I puppeted a couple like, NPC guardsmen? Figure this kind of chaos wouldn't slip past the authorities.
She sidestepped, putting a hand between the woman and Jason when she caught his movements out of the corner of her eye, "That warn't hardly an answer." the redhead retorted, her discomfort steadily growing. She stole a quick glance in Joey's direction, who was now in full view, before focusing past him on the woman once more, "Y'ent got no business botherin' this'un." it was difficult to hear with how much her heart was pounding in her ears, and even though the redhead was deluded enough to think she could get out of any situation relatively unharmed, it was assuring to have a friend by her side. She flicked another glance to Joey and withdrew the brass knuckles, holding them down and to the side as a subtle suggestion too their foe,

"We 'ent wan'n t'hurt'che either, yeh?" she assured her, though her voice betrayed her tension, "We 'ent lookin' fer no sord'a trouble. Bu' pardon me fer gettin' jess a touch worrie't 'bout a lass droppin' down from th'sky'n th'like. It don't take a ph'losopher to know tha' 'ent normal." her free hand gradually pushed back, trying to force the child to take a step away from Isabeau. If it worked, she'd follow suit, only faltering to tap the back of Joey's foot with her own before moving.

@Mokley Oof, sorry you haven't seen a sign of me since I first poked my head in. My class this summer just started up and it looks like it's gonna be a bit more engrossing than I anticipated. I think I'm gonna actually sit this one out so I don't end up joining and disappearing. But expect me to keep an eye on future roleplays of yours, when I'm not getting so immediately bustled about by school.
Sorry about that!
She trotted along behind Joey, "Nothin' s'far as you know." now, Piper wasn't much of a paranoid individual, but at the same time, it wasn't often someone was following her. It was lucky Joey was about, because Pimmy didn't know how to handle a situation like this. She kept brushing her fingers against the brass knuckles for comfort, occasionally glancing to Jason to make sure he was keeping pace. The bustling docks might as well have been invisible to the concerned redhead.

They plowed through the crowds Pip was so used to, but for once she wasn't concerned about the contents of their pockets. She subconsciously reached down to take Jason's hand, making sure he wasn't getting lost in the masses. Her other hand remained in her pocket, assuring her the brass knuckles were still there. Not that she hoped to use them, but it was nice to know she had them. When Joey whirled around the corner, Pip let go of the child to dart into the alleyway after him, stumbling around the man and plastering herself close beside him. Her gaze followed his, eagerly scanning the crowds for that familiar face. The more time that passed without an appearance, the more disappointed and relieved Piper became, "No weapons, yeh." she brushed her knuckles in her pocket, "S'too dangerous. Gittus kil't an' th'like." what if the woman was on the other side of the wall? She craned her head a little to try to peer further around Joey's, when a new presence shattered her suspense and made her whirl around to face the alleyway in a flurry of colorful words,

"Blooody--shittellsinabasket!" a fleck of spit flew from her startled lips and her hands flew out as if the woman had struck. Her gaze flitted between the woman and the roof a few times, making the connection, before fixing on her. The instant Isabeau started moving, Piper sidestepped, setting a hand on Jason's shoulder to step further in front of him. Sure, she'd rob a child if times were desperate enough. Children could easily run back to mom or dad and get compensation. But she'd be damned if she was going to let creepy, hooded women with glinting weapons and a strange look about them get anywhere near the kid.

"Why y'been follerin' us, lass?" her mouth felt dry.

@Mokley Hey! This roleplay looks really interesting. I was curious if you were still accepting new characters.
"Righ', righ'." she shuffled along behind the two, making sure to keep the child between them. A hand idly went to her pocket, sliding in and touching the brass knuckles for assurance. She still felt eyes on the back of their heads, but dared not turn and look. An unsettled silence overcame her while she walked. She forced the worry from her mind and let her gaze briefly drop to her boots,

"Figger s'a nice shep, yeh?" were they still being followed? The girl struggled hard to listen for footsteps, but aside from her own, she couldn't distinguish the differences between a potential stalker and the stream of passers by. Her attention floated to the back of Joey's head, then past him, trying to discern where they were going. She stole a glance about the area, to the right, briefly behind-- oh shit, they were there!

She picked up the pace, brushing past the boy to return to Joey's side. Her voice fell softer than usual, but loud enough for the child to pick up if he was attentive, "T'the aft. Think a bravo?" a quick bat to his arm, "Don' look 'less yer quick, yeh?" her hands returned to her pockets. Why would someone be pursuing them? Did they know the plan? Could they take them if it came down to it? A thought crossed her mind, "Think they got sommit un'erneath that there cloak?" She fought back the nagging feeling that she'd seen metal somewhere on the woman, chalking it up to be a bracer or a buckle. No one would carry a weapon in broad daylight, would they?

Her gaze floated to the sword at Joey's hip--an answer to her own question.

The phone is ringing! You going to pick up!

(latest IC is directed at you guys, are you going to answer?)

Sorry. I usually work weekends, so it's hard to muster up energy to post when I work. But I thought the scene involving me just involved Plecs, Strafe, and Ice. Did everyone else die too? :C

Anyway, getting ready to post now!
Hey @IcePezz, Plecs and I have a couple buddies that were really interested in joining. I recall you mentioning you might not be accepting any new characters soon. Is it too late for the two of them to apply?
I love Minecraft as a visual aid. It's... a bit difficult to work with the right angles, but I love the idea of having actual, physical characters that move about a physical world. Vanilla Minecraft is, admittedly, drab. But using plugins and other things in addition (like combining MC and play-by-post or DnD styled/rolling rp) make it a lot of fun.

Otherwise, my main visual aid is character art, which has been something easily accessible in a lot of rp communities I've participated in.

Dollmakers are also nice.
