Hello, there really isn't much to see here. :^D

In case you were wondering, yes, I drew my profile image. Do you like it? I think it has a depressing sort of beauty.

Disclaimer: I can sometimes be a little too honest, and my standards might be too high. People don't like that. But let it stand on record that I also view myself with the same light. I would not criticize others if I am not willing to take criticism myself. Be mature. Don't hold stupid grudges. If you've come here to scope me out, to find some shameful detail or quench some personal spite because my honesty upset you in some way, -- I'm sorry but there is nothing here for your desperate attempt at self-validation. I will settle the pettiness with an apology. Sorry. Happy?

I can't do anything more than that.

Don't bite too much, you might chew off your own fingers. Then what will you use to type? D:
@Mag Lev

Good to see you here! Your sheet looks splendid, post it up in the tab. :^D

That leaves... 2 more people from the interest, I think? I'll give them a bit more time before I work on starting this thing. How's everyone looking right now? Any last questions?
@Light

Very nice sheet, feel free to place it in the others! :^D

@Cyrania

Ah, my mistake, seems like I missed you. All's in order, I will graciously accept it as well. And yes, until further notice. Be careful where your curiosity might take her. > u >;;

Side Note:

I will be giving this another day or so while we allow people from the Interest to catch up or post their status on whether they intend to participate before I start the IC.

Much of the old magical knowledge has been lost in the destruction of the world. But there are ways to perhaps uncover some of the things you mentioned back. "Haste" is a relatively simple thing, so it wouldn't be the problem of knowing it, but being able to use it. Naturally, possessing magic and gaining more power is adjoined to growing the 'Soul' for the Cardinals. Most of the character have lost their touch to their magic, but will be given a chance to recover it. Quite early on, in fact. Though, in this roleplay, as I have stressed, everything has a consequence, even benefits are not always so clear. I have to warn, all magic leaves a lasting mark within a person because it relies on the push of darker emotions. Such as turning into a beast, would require someone to forgo their logical thoughts and embrace primal instinct.

Even for just a short while, they might not be able resist the call of the wild. And funny you should mention that, because there is actually a Cardinal race in the roleplay whom were shapeshifters.

@Light

Yeah, there is still room. I plan on accepting more than intended due to the fact that I know a large majority people will probably drop out around the beginning. It's just the nature of these things, so it's best to have a surplus. :^D

What are you looking for? And I'll tell you if it is possible.
@knighthawk

Throw him in.

@Claw2k11

It was common for most of the races to employ melee weapons, since the Cardinal's powerful magic allowed for superhuman ability. It would just be more practical to use enchanted swords or something because they could just use magic to overcome more primitive arms like those of bullets. Most of the time, warriors were given weapons that simply amplified their abilities or magic. Humans were the only exception, being that they developed weaponry that utilized highly concentrated aether due to Alchemy. With their sprawling factories, they were able to mass-produce these devastating firearms. Their soldiers would be less specialized and trained, but they would be able to quickly replace lost units at an unmatched pace. The Imperial airships or war-machines were especially feared, which would be armed with arc-cannons or something of the sort. These large batteries discharged overwhelming amounts of aether capable of leveling an entire region with a single shot.

In short, you are correct, there are both types, but technology also relied on magic.

I hope that answers a bit of your question.

@ravenDivinity

Glad to see you here. Can't complain about anything on your sheet, so throw that sucker in the tab. :^D
@AspenIvan

You're accepted, post the sheet in the characters. I don't know how well I can incorporate his memory into the lore, but I'll try to work something in.
For all new and old lookers, the OOC is up;

Pincy nodded to his orders, looking expectantly as Sarah left the room. He was not concerned about the little details. He didn't concern himself with those things for the most part, since he liked to allow his employers their privacy. Most of his workings are not exactly legal and often frowned upon by the majority of society, as he has expressed before. Besides, a key identity of any fun adventure was not knowing what will happen next, right? And he was always good at improvising his way out of a deep hole, if they ever found themselves in trouble. The first step was easy anyways, it was doing the dirty work that would provide them with the most trouble on this little 'odd job'. As soon as they were alone, the lanky mage then started out the room and waltz off down a random corridor, puffing his chest and confidently swinging his arms. He looked like a over-blown ostrich of sorts, but brimming with gusto, of course.

Suddenly, he popped his head back in, the mask leaning to the side, "Umm. Actually, does anyone know the way out? They kept a bag over my head the whole time. Can't say it really helps self-navigation."
