Humans are unBEARable!

The humans of Town have recently started to expand their settlement. They have become too confident, cutting down the forests around Town in order to make more space for their crude blacksmith factories and farms. You bears have begun to feel threatened. These humans have claimed far too much of your habitat and you seek justice for your bear-y lives.
You and the other bears are planning an attack on the humans. To take back the forests upon which Town has trampled and to reclaim your habitat for yourselves. The humans may have crude science, and crude technology, and crude blades and weapons, but the bears have the advantage of being bears and some magic and probably more physical prowess than the humans. And as such, the Bear Army has begun recruiting.
3 bears are required to begin the assault, they reckon. You plan to join them, and all you have to do is submit an application.
But wait. Your bear-y brain and your bear-y memory are failing you. You have to take out your Beardentification Card and check your age, and name. Oh, and your species - different species of bears learn different kinds of magic and skills. Can't forget that.
So you take out the form, and you take out your bear-pen, and you begin to submit your form to join the Bearmy.

Bear Species

Brown Bears - Weaponmasters
Special Ability - Wield
Brown Bears are renown (among the bear community, at least) for their technological expertise and for their talent in wielding nearly any weapon more-or-less perfectly. If they pick up a sword, or a spear, or a shield, or a musket, chances are they'll know how to use it. Oh, and you can also take weapons from guards that you german suplex defeat.

Polar Bears - Barbarians
Special Ability - Enrage
Polar Bears are naturally gifted vicious, violent furry animal creatures. Their predatory instincts may sometimes show through, like when they start to Enrage, which dramatically and drastically boosts their physical abilities. But, they do get a bit tired and grumpy after that.

Spectacled Bears - Pyromancers
Special Ability - Blaze
Spectacled Bears with their adorable little spectacle-like markings have a great capacity for magic - particularly when it involves fire, for some reason. Arsonists in the making. Their magical abilities allow them to manipulate fire and heat as they wish, with the only limit being creativity. Oh, and they run the risk of overheating as well.

Panda Bears - Druids
Special Ability - Shapeshift
Panda Bears spend a lot of time around nature. And bamboo. This enables it to manifest the characteristics of any non-bear animal, or plant, or fungi. But not bacteria, because, "bacteria are icky.". Unfortunately, they have very strict self-imposed moral codes and may only transform partially (at most, half) into animals. This limit hurts the somewhat-heavy bear often.

Sloth Bears - Cryomancers
Special Ability - Frost
Sloth Bears don't hibernate - they eat termites and other insects, which are available all-year round. They have a thick, shaggy coat of
fur that can protect them from the cold. They have hooked claws, which fits the theme slightly less. Point being, they decided they were suited for it, so they learnt about ice magic, which allows them to create and manipulate ice freely.

North American Black Bears - Summoners
Special Ability - Roar
Black Bears (NA) are apparently very common in the forests surrounding Town. Diasporas of the Black Bear (NA) community can be found in nearly any area of Town. Naturally, this means very good communication opportunities. This also means that Black Bears (NA) are able to use their special ability to summon their kith and kin to fight by their side. Effectiveness may vary.

Asiatic Black Bears - Illusionist
Special Ability - Beguile
Black Bears (AS) are far less common than their (NA) counterparts, but they use this to their advantage. Their similarities have given them incredible lying abilities (and consequently, unwavering confidence in the existence of illusion magic) and allow them to create all sorts of magical illusions in the minds of unknowing opponents. Their illusions only last all of one minute, though.

Sun Bears - Ranger
Special Ability - Trap
Sun Bears are small, agile, highly mobile bears that move around areas with ridiculous celerity, second to none except maybe one. Nonetheless their sneakiness also comes with the ability to set all sorts of traps. Poison traps, immobilizing dust, explosive mines, etc. Even bear traps, sometimes. They try not to. Strategic placement is key, though - they can only summon one trap at a time.

Giant Short-Faced Bears - Necromancers
Special Ability - Lifesteal
Giant Short-Faced Bears may be extinct, but they make a re-appearance in this world and use their newfound abilities to help their allies in the fight to reclaim Town. They remember the damage they deal and make it a point to magically restore a somewhat, vaguely similar(the rules on necromancy are iffy) amount of health back, be it to themselves or to their allies.

Drop Bears - Assassin
Special Ability - Mutilate
Drop Bears allegedly don't exist, which is obviously false. But they use this fictitious lack of existence to sneak around quickly, making short work of a variety of enemies. Stealth is key here, and they are fragile, so they have to move quickly to dispatch enemies before retreating fearfully to one of their allies. Their ability allows them to deal large amounts of damage as long as they are not seen, but it risks destroying any items on their person.

Water Bears - Guardians
Special Ability - Tank
Water Bears are surprisingly large in this world of fantasy. They absorb ridiculous amounts of damage and are basically incapable of dying. Ever. But they lack offensive abilities, really. They have to make sure that their allies stay alive, and their ability allows them to ensure the safety and continued life of their friends.

Some Stats

Strength - How much you strong.
Agility - How fast, flexible or acrobatically inclined you are.
Constitution - How well you resist damage
Dexterity - How well you aim or use your unwieldy bear claws for an action.
Charisma - How well you lie or convince others.
Perception - How well you notice danger or crucial items.

Essentially, when making a character, you can split 30 points into any of these statistics in order to improve them. For reference, an average human has 5 points in all of these stats. But since you're a bear, go ham. You can customize your stat-combination as you'd like to make yourself more skillful at a certain thing. There's no limit on the number of points you can put in any one stat.

As a team, you guys win when you manage to claim the throne to Town. Looks like your original goal of just reclaiming the land wasn't enough - it's time to show the humans who the true King of the Jungle is! wait, no.
It won't be easy. The Guards are equipped with weapons, and I guess training, which is a lot less tangible. The Bearmy has to plan its strategy carefully. The winding maze that is Town is hard to navigate, especially for bears, and the sheer number of guards makes it difficult to even enter the inner circle of Town, much less attack the castle. Maybe there's another way. The Bearmy gazes at their map of Town. Perhaps you could also steal something from the stores set up.

World map location: The Desert biome

Interior map: Think about 500 large sandcastles arranged in a circular pattern, circling around a centre that contains a large, circular ‘campfire’ about 100m in diameter and 5m deep, filled with fire used for cooking Desert Cane.

Economy(how well is it?): Economy doesn’t exist, besides dwellings, everything is shared with everyone so that everyone has a better chance of survival in the desert. Dwellings are free as well, and assigned at birth. Compared to every other country, the economy is bad.

Religion demographics: Unconscious Atheism. None of Asloc exposed to anything religious. They are not aware of the existence of Atheism or religions.

Popular opinion on wars: War is a waste of energy, no use going to war.
Popular opinion on magic: Only aware of magic being able to convert water. Of the ~3000 people that live here, 3970 of which are children, 30 being adults that are going to be *ahem spoiler* eaten *ahem spoiler* soon, only 20 people are able to use weak magic to slowly convert urine and other *ahem* expelled *ahem* liquids to drinking water, therefore magic is not a sustainable way to get water for themselves.

A look into the unique culture: (tell us what makes your average citizen unique, take us through their values and life style, throw in any sub cultures such as the culture of the formal classes as well) Each Aslocian have a set routine, self-assigning themselves various roles. They work together, first deciding what they want to do by themselves, then coordinating their efforts in whatever they do. They choose what jobs they want to do that day, ranging from farming Desert Cane, edible cacti, constructing, fixing, cooking, guarding, or travel (aka bringing other Aslocians to various places). They use the sand around them to make ‘sandcastles’ for dwelling (tying in to the child population).

A common tradition is to consume one’s parents for food and drink their blood, a way of survival. Another tradition to maintain a sufficient food population is to birth at least 6 children by the age of 20. Should a sibling die of malnutrition, (s)he must also be eaten. Polygamy is also prohibited for nutritional reasons (not enough parents for food).

Cultural history: Aslocians formed themselves many years back, starting with Ara, the First Child Born, that killed and ate his parents when they (dad, mom, Ara) got stuck in the desert. Since they were traveling with other families that were also stuck, he started a family with the girl of another family who was also willing to consume her parents to survive. I’m already creeped out writing this fictional history, damn…

They managed to get a few other children to join them, then they slaughtered and ate everyone else. After producing sufficient children and letting themselves be eaten.

Type of Military: (Volunteer, conscripted, standing, semi professional, culture affects, levies etc. Go into detail.) As mentioned before, Aslocians may decide what jobs they want to take on every day, and go do those jobs. Aslocians may choose to guard the

Total Military fighting units: Not set, maximum of ~5940

Unit demographics: (heavy infantry, marksman, etc and their equipment/training) Simple children, unarmoured. Their only weapons are ‘Sandshells’, or weak, thin animal shells crafted into a hollow sphere and filled with sand. The animal shell will be forcibly broken if it impacts a surface stronger and harder than the animal shell.

Notable figures: Ara, the First Child Born, recognized for slaughtering many families.

Past wars and notable events:
-750 years ago, Ara slaughtered the many families on the same trip as he was in the desert.
-600 years ago, Ara was given the title ‘Aran’. A new rule was set in which significant people in the history of Asloc were gifted the title ‘Aran’ as well, depending on which title was next in the queue of numbers. Seems difficult to understand? I’ll explain it then. Ara was the First Aran, so let’s say someone invented something 160 years along Asloc’s existence, they would be the Second Aran, and so on so forth. They are only named Arans based on chronological order, so let’s say something important was discovered 170 years along Asloc history, but Aslocians didn’t find it important at the time. 180 years along, new invention by a different person, they would be the Second Aran. 190 years along, the invention from 20 years ago becomes important, the inventor would be remembered as the Third Aran.
-400 years ago, a few pixies entered the then-called Asloc, and were forced into slavery by the Aslocians. They were constructed small huts in a place Aslocians called Asloc-Mini, and were also used as spare snacks for the Aslocians. That day, Asloc was renamed ‘Asloc Main’. A rule was also set that dictated that each Aslocian was only entitled to 2 pixies per day. The pixies bred quickly enough to sustain their population in Asloc-Mini. They are currently still living in Asloc-Mini and have no form of escape.
-100 years ago, the Aslocians captured, killed, and ate a member of another species that declared themselves as an ambassador wishing to form an alliance with Asloc. The Aslocians didn’t understand him and assumed he desired war, so they put him into custody as food. The species was not recorded in Aslocian stories in any way.

Past conflicts with other nations: None.

Current conflicts and wars: None.

Other

Artifacts and famous enchantments: None, unless you count Desert Cane, an average-strength material used for food.

Anything else we should all know: Aslocians are sociable with other members of their species and know each other by no names. Only significant people in Asloc are given names. Their names are to be used as titles. These titles started 600 years ago. Explanation has already been given.
