Crowe looked at K.C. and placed a hand on his shoulder. "How big?" she asked. It wasn't necessarily her job to take care of stuff like this, but she was concerned for her cousin. With a conjurer in town she didn't want to let him put himself in anymore danger. She didn't quite trust a girl that just tried to harm K.C.

"Come on, we should go. You guys can play war another time." Crowe urged, trying to lightly pull him away. "We have to check in on your friend. And I have a nap that needs taking." she added on. Slowly she took a step back hoping this time he would leave with her.
Crowe was a bit taken back and took her hand off her weapon, leaving it in its place. What did she not aleady know about the Briarwhite's that this boy was gonna tell her. "Look kid, I already know enough about your family. Believe it or not, but I was raised by one for a bit. And I just roam trying to keep the peace. I don't choose familys. Hell, mine has been dead for years. I just don't like unnecessary violence. I just came to end a conflict. Just here to take my cousin home and finish my nice rest."

Crowe shrugged her shoulders and and began to take a step back. "There's not much you can say that will surprize me about either family, I'm sorta apart of both in a way. But if you have a story, I'll listen." She had time, but she much rather be sleeping right now. Her shift was too long to deal with more tonight.
Crowe raised an eyebrow at the boy. "I really don't want to start trouble with you. Briarwhite's are welcome to live, just not to cause trouble. Same goes for Grimms." she glanced at K.C. and gave him a slight disappointed look. She really didn't want to fight a couple kids. "K.C. let's go. Your friend is still hurt. You really want to leave him right now?" Crowe added as a bit of a bribe.

Turning her attention back to the boy approaching, she started to unsheathe her blades. "I'm not trying to threaten you, but if you pull something, I will detain you. I don't like hurting kids." she stood still and waited for K.C. to walked back toward her. But if either of them did something, she would detain or stop both of them. Whatever she had to do to keep from starting an even bigger conflict.
Emerson

Emerson thought about their choices for another moment then turned back to the to that said they could offer extra time. "I don't think that will be necessary guys. We go right. If we go down far enough we can get a larger distance between us and them. If we can do that, the feathery thingys on our backs, well we can use them then." she explained to the group. "Sound good to you guys? Because we don't have much longer to get that distance farther." Em looked at the scouts coming. They were still a good bit away, but they were catching up.

Em took a deep breath, sighed, and started running again whether she was followed or not. She hoped they would follow but it was their choice if they wanted to split again or follow. "I'm out!" She called back, looking to see who all was following her. It wouldn't take long to increase the distance, but she wanted to get as far away from there as she could. 'I am never going back there again. Not as long as I'm breathing.' she thought to herself as she ran, dodging trees and the occasional shrub.
@Vesuvius00
Yes, sorry I was just about to mention that. The cliff face is in from of them, they are looking at it from the bottom of it.
Crowe watched the "kids" as they had their talk and kept her weapon at her side. "K.C. lets go. No need to start anything further. I don't want to have to get involved this time." she called over to him. She desperately didn't want people actually questioning her about the magic she could weild. Nor did she want to fight people younger than her. Yes, she was pretty young herself, but they were will younger.

"Come on, lets get you home." Crowe said to him just to reinforce her standing. "And you two get home too. If you think running around picking fights with Grimms is a good idea, you may run into an older more experienced one. They aren't ones you want to mess with." she added before leaning on her hip and crosses her arms.
Leanne

Leanne shook her head and looked at the person running. [color=9966CC]"Nope, no clue. But I have a feeling we're about to find out." she said as they approached the door to the bar. Slowly and cautiously Lea pulled on the door, ignoring Marcus, and called out for her sister. "Riv! Hey, I'm back. And I brought something you may wanna check out." she gave a slight smirk and waited for a response. Being that there was none, she walked into the bar and saw no one. It was time to meet up now, but she was no where to be found. "River?!" Lea called out again, this time hoping for a response.
@jaybreezy
Thanks. Just seems like no one is interested anymore so I was checking.
Just seeing if you guys are still in. This has gone pretty dormant. If it has died, I will revamp it and try to go for it again with new fresh interest. Just let me know.

"Director, we have sent armed scouts to search for the missing subjects. We will get them back, sir."

The voice was followed by static and no further news. Anger arose and the room felt unbearable with stress. The subjects were gone. The were valuable assets in their research. They could no afford to lose them.
"Your incompetence set them free. I should hope it will not stand in the way of retrieving them. They were each a pretty penny and cornerstone in my research. Do not lollygag on this task. I need those subjects."

The radio fell to static for a moment before the voice came back with the obedient reply.
"Yes, sir."

As the radio was turned of the room was filled with silence once more. The mood continued its angry streak, but mellowed with the thought of the subjects back in their custody.

A BIT EARLIER

Emerson

Getting out of there was all a blur, but now she was running. Running for her life. Along side the others that were trapped in that horrid place. She would never trust another person in a white coat or with a badge. 'Never again.' she thought to herself. She shook the thought from her mind and thought of what was happening now. What she was doing and what was best for her survival. Even if it was selfish, she was concerned with her own escape almost more than where they would all go after this. They had escaped from a place no one escapes from. What would they do?

The alarm began to fade in the distance as she ran. If she flew they would shoot her down, she had to run and fast. The wind her speed caused, made her hair slip behind her ears. She couldn't stop running, not yet. They would follow them. However, once she got far enough, she could easily fly away. Once in a safe location they could decide what to do next.

Emerson used her peripherals to glance at the others beside her. The other "subjects", they were called. There were more of them than people chasing them, so to confuse them, the group of "kids" separated. Two groups taking off in two different but similar directions. They would meet at a checkpoint if they were able to successfully escape, and so far so good. Em shot a slight smile to the person to her right and kept running. She only slowed due to a large rock cliff towering in front of them.

"Anybody got any bright ideas? We go up, we get shot down." Em said looking back at the others around her. Going up wasn't a very good option just yet. They would practically be sitting ducks out in the open, but she didn't have any brilliant ideas coming to mind at the moment. Her heart was racing and she was catching her breathe as she looked back to see how far behind their tail was. "We have time, but not too much of it. So I suggest someone come up with something fast." Emerson herself was usually calm under pressure, but being outside the walls was a first to her. She grew up behind those barred windows and caged courtyards.
