She looked at the girl for a while. After observing the nameless hotties actions and facial expression, she came to the conclusion that this girl was either rude or had terrible social skills. I mean, even with the painful fake smile Abbie could still tell that it was, well, fake. Abbie felt a bit of frustration boiling up from the inside, wanting to burst out. Calm down. She probably doesn't even realizing that she seems rude in my eyes. I mean, most people would think that she's just being polite and nothing more. Opening her mouth to speak, Abbie's eyes went wide as she turned over to Clyde who had spoken. She watched him run away, all 6 feet of him in the speed of a lion.
"Wai- Wha- Clyde?!" Standing there with a bewildered look for only a second before Abbie shot a look at the 14-year-old boxer. A look that could have been misinterpreted as something a little more sinister than what was intended. She then sighed, and pressed on her temples. So he's into girls that don't seem interested in him, huh? Alright. So she's who she was going to have to deal him thinking and perhaps talking about? Or moping around about. Something about the whole thing didn't sit well with her. Maybe it was the fact that the guy who shadowed her for so long like a hound was going to be lusting for some random chick. He should just stay with me. Though, knowing Clyde...It's probably something more innocent than that. More innocent than her own loveless encounters with men that started with one encounter that she now may regret. But who cared about that, either way, love was just lust with jealousy added into the mix. An unneeded ingredient.
Snatching the cookies that he had stupidly left on the counter, Abbie stuck it in her back pocket and put on her own fake smile. A smile that she attempted to make more realistic.
"See ya." And with that, she took her leave without a second thought and not looking back for a second, just giving a quick wave that was barely even a wave. Looking from side to side to see if he was anywhere near yet knowing that he probably ran to some random destination and is now just high on that nice adrenaline rush going through his body.
She wandered around aimlessly and was going to eat more of the cookies but realized that she wasn't a fan of whatever he got her. Abbie scrunched up her nose for a second and put the cookies in the pocket along with Clyde's. Where the hell should I go? Well, I'm pretty hungry. That was an interesting turn of events but Abbie was already over it, moving onto the next chapter of her brain. She could ask Clyde why the hell he liked her later. Though she doubts that he would even have a proper reason. Maybe he would even mention something absurd as love at first sight.
The food stalls were pretty packed but she managed to buy some cotton candy that tasted like strawberry bubblegum. Licking her lips, she took another bite and continued to walk around the food stalls. Maybe there were some smoothies somewhere. Abbie's eyes wandered over to the hotdog stand to the nacho stand and all the way to a certain guy that she recognized. Wasn't that Oberon? Honestly, Abbie never knew if he hated her or not. She didn't really know who hated her but luckily, caring about it wasn't on her list either. Making her way over to her, she waved at him and had a grin on her face.
"Hey, Oberon!" Her voice was now lively, a bright smile on her face. She looked him up and down, staring at his clothes.
"Damn, as always you look nice,"Abbie said, the suit jacket standing out. She liked how mature his clothes always looked. Abbie, on the other hand took less than 5 minutes to choose her clothes for the day since she just got whatever she found comfortable and suitable at a thrift shop. That and her brother's clothes.
Oberon was a pretty good guy. Well, all she knew was that he got her a passing grade on her final but it was enough that he said yes when she asked. She took another bite out of the cotton candy, licking her lips.
"Anyways, what's up?"
