Yeah, the 'cache' fuction is what I was thinking of. However, using the 'site:roleplayerguild.com <insert whatever you're searching for here>' only seems to yield results from this site rather than the old one, even though it definitely used to give results from oldguild. Am I just bad at searching for the right key terms?

I hadn't realised stuff from oldguild was on the Wayback Machine, but that doesn't seem all that useful seeing as it doesn't have threads archived.
I remember shortly after this site went up, someone asked it was possible to retrieve anything from the old guild. Someone posted a sort of command you could put into Google to search for old guild pages, and then use the archives Google provided in order to look at the posts. I can't remember what the command was, and I can't find the thread again. All I can remember about it is that Eru Illuvatar posted in it.

If anyone knows what I'm talking about and could help, I'd greatly appreciate it.
I've only played a few of these game series and know about the others mostly through reading, so I didn't understand everything, but this was still a very entertaining read and I wouldn't mind taking part in an RP based in this cross over universe.

696969's suggested quite a few series you might want to include in this universe and I think some are quite good ideas.
DOOM is a fun little series to take ideas from, but it features supernatural elements (i.e. literal demons from hell) that might clash with the mostly sci-fi stuff in this cross over.
Ideas from the Half-Life/Portal universe could be included without too much difficulty if you're familiar with the setting. The actual storyline from the games might have to be put aside because it would clash with the timeline you've already got, but factions like The Combine would probably fit in with your setting.
If you've seen the films, Aliens and Predators would be two species that could be put in the setting without disrupting too much. Predators could be one of the mercenary factions while Aliens could be utilised as bioweapons by any of the factions.
Transformers appear in some of the group shot pictures you've got so they could be fun to put into the universe. Cybertron could be a member of the Citadel Alliance?

In regards to what you've got so far, I'd like to ask a little bit about how Mega Man and Metroid affect the setting. Mega Man (particularly Mega Man X) has quite a few world threatening events in it. Are these just local to Taiwan in your storyline or did they never happen? In regards to Metroid, how much from that universe is canon? Do the metroids themselves exist, or is the Metroid series' involvement limited to Samus running around as a mercenary?
Keeping an eye on this because I love medieval, but I haven't forum RPed in a wihle and I've got a lot of stuff going on so I dunno if I'll be able to join.

How fantasy is the setting? Realistic medieval with a few mundane monsters in the wilderness? Or are things full wizard and dragon tier?
Hate to admit that most of my roleplays on the previous site probably died because of me neglecting them. I find building the worlds and setting up the scenarios really fun: funner than actually playing in them. When I first start an IC, I'm really buzzed, but a little way in I just don't know what to write. I'm greatful to all the players who never called me out on it, really.

It occured to me a while ago that one of the things that really contributed to this is that I never actually planned out what was going to happen. I just thought of the scenario and made up some stuff right from the beginning. When I tried writing out a plot in advance (not the whole thing, just a bit to get the players rolling and get them to the first major choice they'd need to make) I found it quite a bit easier.
Welp, glad to see that Roleplayer Guild is finally back in some form.

Hello again to everyone. I hope a lot of people from the old site are still here. Shame that so much stuff was lost, but hopefully we'll be able to get through this all without too much fus.
