So there's my character sheet. I really, really hope the power makes sense. It's kind of hard to describe in great detail in condensed form simply because of the sheer number of potential applications.

Ah, I wasn't sure if he was seeing that on the space age equivalent of the internet or if it was a local broadcast. Think you could write a post to set up the introduction? Otherwise I'm probably just going to walk right into his clubhouse.
"And I am known as David." He'd never really understood why people needed fancy titles to make themselves known. After all, actions speak louder than words, and David had been around for far too long and accomplished too many things to bother with clever monikers. No, he'd already had more names than he could count, and the list would only keep getting longer from here. "Among other things." Switching the tomahawk to his left hand, he advanced slowly on his opponent, right arm pulled up to guard and left holding the tomahawk in front. His left foot lead, and he never crossed his stance as he moved, keeping his base wide and stable. "So then, ronin of white lotus, shall we begin?"
You still around DC? I realized I don't know where exactly Kiril would be, even if he is on Red-6. Would he still be inside his little haunt? Or would he be at a racetrack somewhere? If you could write a post setting up an intro, that would be stupendous.
Ah, the katana. A beautiful weapon, for sure, but also a predictable one. Thus far the other fighter had displayed little aptitude for anything outside of martial prowess with an eastern basis, and it seemed that would still hold true. Moving to a weapon rack on the opposite side, David selected a tomahawk, then returned to his place in the center, holding it in his right hand. "Is this to become a death match then? Or can you be trusted to hold your blows?"
I dunno... But it's been three days since Drall posted.
The idea I have in mind wouldn't really be a telepath in the conventional sense. It would be a much more grounded variation than just "I can read minds!". There would be reasoning behind it.

And interestingly enough, I'm uncertain as to whether it would work on Saila... That would be a terribly interesting thing to actually write out.
*considers making his character a telepath, then discards and saves the idea for later*

Personally, I've only ever made one telepathic character, and that was in an extremely collaborative environment. A lot of my other characters with powers have been of the arena-usable sort, and telepathy in a competitive combat scenario is extremely iffy and generally not well-suited to a fair fight.

That said, it would certainly be an interesting challenge trying to write a character with a power like that. Especially if you're trying to get other people and characters to like them... Lol.

Dang it, now I want to try. >_<
David released his opponent and rose back to his feet in one swift motion, though didn't yet take his stance again. "You want to keep going or call it a day?"
