Clearly they did not respect how structured the Velvet Room was.

I don't they respected most of what Persona was about, though.
Well, with the beach episode happening, we could introduce a character by pulling an Aigis thing lol
AUGUST 1ST 2015, SATURDAY
Morning

What to bring...? It was just a day-trip, right? So he shouldn't bring much. Maybe just a towel and sunglasses or something. Sunscreen? He didn't have sunscreen, so would somebody else bring some and let him use it? Or did it not matter?

Sato sighed and sat down on the edge of his bed. Was going to the beach really the right thing to be doing at the moment? With everything going on in Warakuma, with the cult and the Mirror World and Seto and all that, was hanging around at the beach the best thing they could be doing? Maybe he was overthinking it. Sato checked his phone idly. No new texts and it was 8:30. They were just teenagers. And it was summer vacation, so they should just enjoy themselves, right? It'd be good for keeping up team morale and making a tighter team bond, and everyone losing the motivation to keep fighting would be disastrous. Plus he got to see Mako shir--

Anyways Sato got up and stuck his phone in his pocket and grabbed his stuff, ignorant of any better way to prepare as he glided down the stairs. He walked over into the kitchen and gave a quiet greeting to his mom.

"Have fun with you friends today, Sato." She smiled, "Are you sure you have everything you need?"

"I'm good, thanks."

His mom raised her eyebrows suspiciously and eyed the minimalist load-out Sato was bringing. "Are you sure?" Sato dodged the question by giving her a hug and ducking out the front door before she could say anything further, but before he could truly escape she stood at the door and called after him. "Be safe, Sato! I love you!"

Sato swiveled around as he started down the street and gave her a small wave. "See ya tonight!"

Sato checked his phone again as he walked into the station. It wasn't even 9 yet, but it was already getting pretty hot out. Hopefully the beach wouldn't burn them alive when they got there, but at least there was always the ocean to cool off in. Walking into the station, Sato noticed Kotori first, who was hiding under a sun hat and carrying around a bag presumably packed with essentials. He suddenly felt inadequate, having only brought a single towel and sunglasses. And the others weren't wearing swimsuits yet. Shit, should he have brought a change of clothes? All he had was the clothes he was wearing-- a loose button-up and his swimtrunks (a dark blue with clock patterns; his mom said it was cool).

The group had found a spot on the platform safely out of the way of any of the station's commuters, so Sato made his way over to the others, but he was surprised to see that only Rui, Kotori, and the two Shoujin students were there. Sato gave a small bow to his fellows and gave a quiet, "Morning." He briefly thought of making small talk, like "Who else is excited for the beach?", or "Nice day for the trip, huh?", but he decided against it seeing as everyone there didn't seem the type to get awfully hyped. A cool guy would've gotten there late, so Sato figured that he was only cool in the headed sense.

A few minutes passed and Sato awkwardly shifted in his own skin. He thought it would be more cloudy, but with how hot the sun was on the walk there, he was definitely gonna need some skin protection for the whole day. He rubbed the back of his neck and turned to Kotori. "I think I came a little unprepared..." He muttered, unsure of his relationship with the second-year girl. "Do you have sunscreen or any such thing?"
The party's attack was far more power than needed, practically obliterating Zouchouten away into a fine dust cloud of glass. Upon destroying it, an ominous voice resounded in their heads, but Sato made little sense of it before it faded away. Who was this 'Great Leader'? Hadn't both the cult members and the shadows made mention of them? Regardless of the message's meaning, though, the team took a moment to catch their breath before they advanced forward onto the cleared bridge now that there were no shadow readings nearby. Another pile of cards gently floated to the ground in front of them, however, so each member curiously took one. Upon turning it over, the front of it seemed to pulse and inject a clear understanding of it into the persona user's head.

>Chronos learned "Mahamaon!"

Seeing as the team was exhausted after the last couple of battles, the team proceeded forward a bit only to stop at the sign on the other side of the bridge, enabling it to connect to the rest of the transportation network. In other words, they could seamlessly warp from the bridge to the other two warp points they had found. How many other points were there, though? The question would fade away into Sato's head as the team proceeded back out of Seto and to the warehouse.

- - - - - -

"Good job, team." Sato called out to the other four as he stepped out of the mirror world, but he was surprised to see that someone had taken the time to clean up the warehouse while they were gone and provide some basic furnishings. All they really had before was a chair or two and the table where they threw all their junk, so seeing some level of homeliness was comforting to see. The others seemed to be enjoying a conversation amongst themselves, so Sato decided not to intrude, but he threw a wave to the new girl they had recently rescued. Hopefully she would indeed join the team, and she likely had considering how much she was integrating already.

After putting his equipment away, Sato excused himself from the expidition squad they had formed and wandered over to the corner of the Warehouse, staring curiously at the velvet door standing there. He looked back at the others, all of whom seemed unconcerned with it to some degree, so he decided that it was in fact no mirage and instead the common thread between them-- the Velvet Room...

The Velvet Room

"Welcome... to the Velvet Room."

After opening the door, Sato had found his vision blurring until it revealed that he was sitting at the dining table like usual in those dreams. Curiously, looking around would show that all the other figures were blurred, implying that he was the only one "connected" to the room at that moment. The menu that Henrietta had introduced to them was sitting before him as she had told them that it would be, so Sato decided that he would try "ordering" something from it.

>Sato ordered from the dessert menu...

>Chronos learned "Makarakarn", and "Kouga"!

>"Kouga" was infused into Sato's Practice Yumi!

Sato decided that he wasn't quite ready for tackling any of the challenges, considering his current state and lack of any planning, so he was content with just mucking around the dessert menu. Hopefully whatever he did would turn out well in combat, but that'd have to be revealed another day...

JULY 29TH 2015, WEDNESDAY
Midday

Sato was currently shifting through a wall of books at the library when his phone started lighting up. He set aside his stack of novels and swiped open his phone, only to see Rui detailing details on a trip to the beach the up-coming weekend. It seemed pretty concrete already, and apparently those rich kids from the private school intended on paying for all expenses so that they could just enjoy the whole trip. He didn't have any plans, so he decided he might as well go. Plus, it'd be a good chance to hang out with Mako. Though, it might be embarrassing, seeing him like that...

Sato sent a quick confirmation that he'd come, and asked Mako what he was gonna do. Then he quietly continued shifting through all the books for anything that seemed remotely interesting, albeit this time a bit more absent-mindedly as he considered the possibilities of a beach trip with all the others.
After the party was freshly shielded and healed, Ryan took out his anger back on the Zouchouten with one last Kougaon before the sickly aura radiating from the shadow dissipated into the air. It seemed the Debilitate Mako had used finally ran out, so if there was a time to finish it off, it'd be now. It seemed Zouchouten felt the same, though, as it shook off the Kougaon the best it could and launched a counterattack on them. Swinging its weapon wildly, it hit the party with a Swift Strike, though the damage was nowhere near as bad as the direct hit Sato had suffered.

It would've been bad to have everyone hit by it, but fortunately, the barrier Sato had put up on Ryan had been activated by the attack, exploding in the shadow's face and sending it tumbling backwards off its feet by the power of its own attack. Now that it was on the floor, even for a moment, the team had a clear opening for a final assault on the shadow, which should finish it off once and for all. "Let's end this now!" Sato called out to the others, nodding to Ryan as he called for an all-out attack. At that, the entire group sprung into action, rushing in with weapon and persona to hit it with everything they had. Blasts of magic, wind and light, cracked through the air, and explosions of physical force tore through the shadow like paper.

Once everyone had done what they could, the group jumped away from the shadow, waiting for the dust to clear to see if it still stood. Sato knew, though, that there was no way it survived that.

"It doesn't look like Physical attacks aren't affecting it very much... Everyone! Stop attacking physically and switch to magic!" Mako had called out, noting the shadow's unflinching resistance to their attacks. Sato frowned at the realization; they were going to have to rely only on magic, but it didn't seem to have any weakness they could exploit. After the group had been hitting it for a while, Zouchouten finally decided to retaliate, taking a swing at Ryan. It seemed to be a glancing blow at worst, leaving Ryan still fit for battle, but a direct blow would be devastating.

The shadow seemed to be going to try to hit Ryan again, so Sato quickly summoned Chronos again and used another Garudyne to try to stop its advance. The blast didn't seem to be particularly strong compared to the group's last few attacks, but it still seemed to catch Zouchouten's attention. After that, it seemed it had finally considered Sato a big enough threat to deal with, as it reared up its weapon and took a swing at Sato. He tried to dodge, but he reacted too slowly and the blow sent him flying backwards a fair distance, breaking his persona and crumpling him on the ground. After a few moments of trying to swallow the pain, Sato pushed himself up from the ground, but had to stop to clutch his injury. A long gash went up his side, a stream of blood rushing out. It wasn't life-threatening, but it really hurt like a bitch. Thankfully, Samuru quickly responded with a Mediarama to quell the pain, a wave of light closing their wounds and erasing any trace of previous damage... But, even though the gash had been close, Sato could still feel the pain, his head a little cloudy.

"Tch, its physical attacks are strong..." Sato wiped a small line of blood from his mouth. "If that's how it's gonna be... Chronos, use Tetrakarn!" At his command, Chronos spun its scythe and summoned a barrier around Ryan. Though the shadow wouldn't take much damage from a reflected blow, blocking a hit would prove useful against something that hits as hard as Zouchouten. After buffing Ryan, Sato decided to just stand back for a bit and watch the fight carefully. Making more foolish mistakes would just result in more injuries.
The group quickly decided to blatantly ignore any of the stuff the shadow had gone about, and Mako leapt into action first by summoning his persona and debilitating their enemy's battle capabilities with a toot of his persona's trumpet. Now that the enemy was torn down a notch, Ryan summoned his persona, and it immediately lifted its sword to the air. The laser blade exploded into a giant cleaver of sheer energy, before Geraint sent the flow of energy down onto the shadow. The brilliant explosion sent out a cloud of dust that almost blew away the party, but instead of feeling the grit in his eyes, Sato felt weirdly ready to fight as the aura coming from the attack enveloped the party.

Though Ryan seemed to need a moment to recover after that move, the attack he had used left Zouchouten already quite hurt and left it wide open for some hyper-charged attacks from everyone else. Sato didn't skip a beat and summon his persona, who he called to use a Garudyne on the shadow. While he did nothing special, the energy seemingly coursing through his veins flowed into the attack, amping up the wind storm into a variable tornado that hit the shadow with so much sheer force that it almost knocked over the towering figure.

"Less prose, more fighting!" Sato called out to Samuru, who seemed more interested in giving some exposition about his justice than he did actually hitting the shadow. As if to give an example, Sato pulled back his bowstring and let loose an arrow enveloped in an aura from Chronos. The shot blew into the sky at an astounding speed, floating high in the air for a few moments before crashing down as spears of light in a powerful display of a charged Rainy Death. Using two amplified attacks like that, Sato felt pretty damn cool, but he immediately felt a familiar dull ache in the back of his head and used his free hand to clutch his forehead. It wasn't debilitating, but using them in quick succession like that was a maneuver Sato felt unaccustomed to. Dodging wasn't much not a possibility for the next little bit as he tried to let the pain fade.

After they had quickly agreed on a good strategy for handling the upcoming fight, the group proceeded over to the bridge, where upon getting close, the amorphous shadow that they had seen had morphed into a tall, masculine-looking... humanoid. It was easily ten feet tall, guarding the bridge behind it stoicly. Suffice to say it was a bit intimidating, but they've taken on much stronger shadows before... Both surprisingly and unsurprisingly, the shadow before them began talking to them. Whatever it was talking about, though, sounded like some kind of nonsense. Who was 'the master'? Sato wished they could talk or something, but the shadow gave an ultimatum: leave immediately, or fight through it.

"It looks like our only way through is a fight." Sato decided for the group, seeing as there was no way they were just gonna ignore the rest of Seto. "We don't know its weaknesses, or if it even has any, so let's stick to the plan. Mako, Ryan, you know what to do."

Nikou - Hyrule Castle City, Main Sewers
The ice attack from Kibbe seemed to slow down the dodongo quite a bit, and combined with Nikkou's spear strikes, it seemed to quickly realize how futile trying to fight would be and tried to waddle away into safety. Nikkou briefly considered letting it go so they could just move onto the criminals they were chasing already, but there were two reasons he didn't. First, there was no reason this thing should be in the sewers and there was no reason they were going to try to move it elsewhere. Second, the smugglers seemed to be legitimately afraid of the dodongo, so if they were to kill it, they could use that intimidation as victors over a beast to their advantage and get good information out of the criminals.

It is for that reason that Nikkou locked down any escape routes for the dodongo and continued attacking it, avoiding any of its bites and lashes.
Sato watched as Mako and Ryan decimated the two Unicorns with their magic, a torrent of winds and a grave of ice tearing the shadows into nothing but a mist of glass and darkness. Though, Sato had to admit that Ryan's new persona was the star of the show, brilliant wings radiating an indignant holiness as it summoned a windstorm. He'd never even considered the idea that their personas could evolve like that... But if they're reflections of your psyche or something, wouldn't that require a drastic shift in paradigm? What had evoked such a change in Ryan? That was probably too personal to ask, so Sato opted to ignore it for now and he walked over to the others. Mako seemed to be berating Samuru for trying to foolishly negotiate with the shadows.

"Don't be too harsh on him, these shadows are unusually sentient contrary to what we've seen before." Sato said to Mako, though he gave a scolding look to Samuru as well. "You're fortunate that these shadows weren't very strong. I understand what you were trying to do, but from here on out, you can't hesitate in this world. No matter how strong you are, we have to be careful at all turns." Sato rolled his neck, turning back towards the hut they've found. "Either way, I agree-- let's go check out what they seemed to be defending."

Sato walked over to the front door of the shack and tried the handle. The metal on the lock seemed to be so unkempt that the whole door didn't seem to work, so he gave it a hard push with his shoulder and it basically collapsed in on itself. The force of blow sent a hurricane of dust at the party, making it impossible to breath or see for a few moments. Once the dust clear, the group stepped into the hut and looked around. It seemed to be pretty much empty besides a sole chest resting in the middle of it. They had no incentive to not open it, so he cracked it open and looked at the only thing inside: a small stack of cards.

"They're just cards...?" Sato muttered. Who would just put a couple cards in a chest and nothing else? A little confused, he drew a card from the top of the deck and looked at it. Upon seeing the illustration on the front of the card, though, Sato felt a sharp jolt in the back of his head. A new understand flooded into his mind: whatever it was, these cards granted them new abilities. As the others each drew a card, Sato slid the card into his pocket (which, similar to the Velvet Key, seemed to disappear into the ether once out of sight) and turned towards the others. "Did you guys feel that too? It feels like my Persona was granted a new power through these cards..."

> Chronos learned "Rakunda"!

With that done, the group exited the dusty hut and looked on at the second challenge they had to face. The large shadow guarding the bridge watched them back eerily, as if waiting for them. There didn't seem to be any other good way to go, so there was only one route of action... Zeke screeched above them, as if to let them know that it was ready to help at a moment's notice.

"Should we open with Zeke's carpet bombing, ability... thing, or should we save it for when we really need it?" Sato asked, watching the hawk circle them above. He drew his bow as they waited to initiate battle with the big shadow.
