Aruba is too caught up in running to pay full attention to those pursuing her, so being tripped by Jean comes as a bit of a surprise. Nevertheless, she holds on tightly to Ai-yu, cradling her protectively for more reasons than one. She hurries back onto her feet, and is prepared to quickly throw a few attacks at her pursuers, to at least set them back just a bit, when she hears that familiar voice again. She whips around to see the hooded figure from before, offering her a way out.
"R...Ruru, why?" Ai-yu whimpers quietly. The little Celebi knows that she could easily stop Aruba right now, and stop all of this...but...she can't bring herself to do anything that might get the Lucario harmed in some way.
...At least...not yet...
Just as Aruba's about to flee into the Corridor of Darkness provided, she spots what appears to be two of her pursuers Mega-Evolving. Aruba hurries out of Carl's way, trying to dodge him while firing an Aura Sphere at him. Though, as she deals with this threat, she spots something even more threatening out of the corner of her eye.
"Sorry, looks like I got here just a tad bit late. That's fine, though. Thanks for waiting around." Sephie says as Pipley picks her up off of his back and places her gently back on the ground. Aruba and Ai-yu both notice that her eyes have turned a glowing blue...and both of them look uneasy because of it.
"S-Sephie, no! Please, don't do anything bad again!" Ai-yu cries loudly. As her partner Pokemon, and a Psychic-type, the little Celebi has always been able to pick up these flips in her trainer's mindset. Aruba, also, picks up a frightening new feel from Sephie's aura.
"What? I haven't even said a thing yet." Sephie smirks, straightening her witch hat a bit. "But...that being said, I do want to ask you a question, Aruba."
"....What is it?" Aruba growls, holding onto Ai-yu tighter.
"One of the Revolutioneers' many grievances against humans is that they use Pokemon to do their dirty work for them in battles and whatnot, correct?" Sephie asks.
"...I suppose that is a way to phrase it, yes." Aruba narrows her eyes. Are you insinuating that this isn't true?"
"Not necessarily...but, I'm gonna fix this issue right now." Sephie grins. "Instead of making Pipley over here fight you....why don't I just do it myself? In fact, Pipley, why don't you give me a command every now and then?"
"Sephie, you can't! Humans shouldn't fight Pokemon! That's exactly what we're trying to prevent from happening wide-scale!" Ai-yu pleads.
"Ah, but humans have always fought Pokemon, haven't they? Just with the help of other Pokemon. I think it'd be interesting to flip the sides..." Sephie counters. As she talks, her right hand begins to glow with magic that glows in moving swirls of purple and green. "I mean...if people and Pokemon really fight side by side...then why can't I take to the battlefield for once? Pipley's smart enough to at least watch out for me on the field. Not really sure if he knows what 'moves' I can use...heh, but, we did practice magic together..."
Aruba glares at the trainer with an ominous grin before her. "This is exactly why I left, Sephie...this savage side of yours..."
"What? Does it scare you? Tch..well, maybe it should..." Sephie starts to cackle. All the while, Ai-yu starts hiding herself further behind Aruba's arms.
Darkclaw only blinks, but suddenly, he's in Montainum's personal office, along with Spookton and Serran. He bows. "You needed me, dear comrades and mighty ruler?"
"Yes..." Montainum starts to speak. "Where has Aruba gone? I've been trying to summon her."
"Ah, my apologies. She's gone out on patrol, tracking down any traces of the Trained. I was going to follow her." Darkclaw explains.
"Hm...well, good. When she gets back, tell her I need to speak with her about a...new task." Montainum responds.
"Of course, sir." Darkclaw nods.
"Childhood friend, eh? Maaaan, I wish I still had some of those." Mystarii laughs a bit. Electricia huffs, "OI! And just who saved ya from the streets when you were hardly old enough to comprehend the danger of walking out right in front of speeding bikers?!"
"Huh?....Oh, yeah...that was you, wasn't it? I forgot how old you were, Electricia. You're eternally so small and cute, so it's easy to forget!" Mystarii keeps on laughing harder, and Electricia crosses her arms, mildly annoyed.
Rythian watches his two friends for a few moments before he turns back to Aqua and hears what she has to say. He nods. "Sure. We'd be delighted to meet him." He turns back to the two Pokemon next to him, who have started squabbling again. "Isn't that right?"
"H-huh?" Mystarii, who had been about to bite Electricia's ear, blinks. "Meet people? Uh, sure! Let's do that!"
Electricia also comes to a pause, having been about to full-on electrocute the Meowth. "Oh, we're going to meet someone? Okay then..."
