Once they were up and well, leaving the dark place behind, Hayley found herself in the teachers lounge after Matthew has shown her where. It was a rather sad lounge to be honest: There were just a few old 1-man sofa’s and the kitchen was rather old. The sink seemed like it hadn’t been used in a couple of months but the coffee machine seemed like the newest of its kind. Indeed, Hayley did seem to find a packed of ‘knacki’ sausages in the fridge and a packed of beef noodles in one of the cabinet. So grateful it had been something hot over a sandwich the searched for a pot to heat up some water in. “Do you want some as well? I don’t care if I have to share.” Hayley said, clearly in a better mood than when they met. Whilst slicing the knacki’s into pieces and letting the hot water boil, she shivered for a moment. After checking the heating system, Hayley had to conclude they had switched off the electric heating system for the night. “Other than food, could we find a warmer place to eat? I’m feeling kinda chilly..”
The noodles were fastly boiled and the entire kitchen had a faint cheap beef smell. But hey, better than nothing, right? Hayley filled up a huge cup with the junkfood enough to feed two persons or one with a huge hunger. After sticking two forks into the hot, steaming bowl she looked up at Matthew. He looked at her so sweetly and caring, she could not help but to give him another of her rare smiles. Why had she been so open to him? "He's so.. different."
