Acacia noticed the two girls seemed to be distressed about something and hoped it wasn't anything she had caused between the two. As her and Sycamore approached them, she was about to say something when Shay noticed the choker at her neck, asking about it.
"Oh this?" she asked, touching it with her fingertips. "It was left behind by my father." she said nonchalantly, hoping to dismiss the girls interest in it. She didn't want to start talking about her life with them. Not yet at least. Looking to Sycamore for a quick subject change, she was relieved when he got the hint.
"All right, well, time to get right to work. You two have pokemon that are still pretty weak. They've never been trained before, so I suggest thats where you start in trying to build the bond with your pokemon." he dropped his hand on Acacia's head, causing her to pout. "Acacia is going to take you two to Route 4 to start what we call the 'team building exercise'. In the meantime, I'll be going ahead to Route 6, to the Castle there. I need to secure a place to do some research and the next time I see you, I expect good things. I'll be needing your help after all, remember?" he chuckled and lowered his hand from Acacia's head. Pocketing said hand into his pants, he turned to the right and looked down the road. [b]"Back that way is Route 4. It's the perfect place to start training your pokemon at the level they are."
Acacia crossed her arms but said nothing. She had her brow raised at Sycamore, wondering why he wanted to have her alone with the two. He was the one who agreed to have them tag along. Though in honesty, she was pretty excited to spend some time other than with the crazy professor. She moved her gaze from him to the sisters and smiled. "Don't worry, you're in good hands and your pokemon will be safe since we will be sticking closer to the city. Once we get some progress there, we'll be joining up with Sycamore on Route 6." she nodded at them and noticed Sycamore had already started to sneak away. When she called out to him, he turned.
"Be safe. I don't want to take your place too early." she said, teasing him. He chuckled and nodded, turning and waving over his shoulder at them. She was smiling. Too hard. Patting her cheeks a few times, she turned back to the sisters and clapped her hands together. "Okay! Lets go!" she said excitedly.
