Okay, let's see; I started roleplaying by post way back when that meant writing a turn down by hand, sticking it in an envelope and sending it to a GM through the plain mail, not email. Games I remember with fondness are Saturnalia, Amaranth, Absolute Heroes....

I'm a wannabe writer and love inventing and developing characters and worldbuilding. Fantasy, horror (supernatural) and superhero are probably my favourite genres. I'm not adverse to a bit of cyberpunk or space opera, but hard sci-fi with lots of technobabble leaves me cold.

I can be found lurking on the Nano site or YouTube when I'm not spending time exclusively in the real world and have the same username everywhere, so if you see a Shaitarn on another site feel free to wave.

Waiting quietly in the wings, Jayce glanced at his twin; Lissia had given a stifled snort when Hypate's skeleton had introduced itself as Anpheus and shoved a fist against her mouth to muffle her giggles. Her shoulders were shaking now, as the skeleton bemoaned the loss of its hair and the curse of a cellphone. Jayce was more concerned as the audience appeared to suffer the necromancer's wrath - yes, it looked like an act - a very convincing act, but still... the young man shivered slightly.

It was a new development, Hypate's act being on just before theirs, but the two seemed to dovetail together well - a sharp tang of spice to enhance the sweetness of their own performance. He gave Lis a nudge as the audience broke into applause and she elbowed him gently in the ribs in response, flashing him a quick smile.

The spotlights flashed on the sequins on their simple green and white outfits as they ran into the ring, music starting as they began a half-dancing performance, performing a few basic moves, handstands and tumbling, enough to get the audiences attention, enough to loosen their muscles, leaving them loose and limber for their main act.

They climbed quickly up the ladders to the aerial platforms and Jayce unhooked his trapeze. The first part was performed solo, his moment to shine; he performed a few simple swings, before swinging around the bar like a gymnast, spinning a full 360 degrees before performing a handstand and holding it for two full swings, toes pointed up to the ceiling, before sliding down, hanging upside down from his knees.

That was the signal for Lissia to swing from her platform, quickly reaching the peak of her swing and flinging herself free. The audience watched, tense as she flew free for a couple of seconds before Jayce caught her, his hands closing after her wrists. They performed a couple of basic throws before she flew in a swan dive, Jayce swinging in to grip her by the wrist and ankle while she struck a pose, other arm and leg stretched out straight. He flung her back to her own bar and she swung up high and back before leaping free again. The crowd gasped as she folded into a ball, turning three quick somersaults and one person cried out - surely the catcher had left it too late!

But no - his hands closed over her ankles and she swung upside down, arms outstretched, a wide smile on her face as the audience broke into relieved applause. Jayce flung her back for the last time, and she turned a half circle in mid air, catching her bar and swinging back to her platform. Jayce performed his own dismount, somersaulting back to his own platform and they bowed in unison. It was doubtful anyone in the audience noticed that there was no safety net.

(I'm not sure I got the image to work properly apologies if there's a problem)

NAME: Their full names are Shalissia and Jaycendel, but nowadays they go under Lissia and Jayce.

ABSTRACT: A pair of blonde twins that defy gravity.

DETAIL: Lissia and Jayce are chalk and cheese: Lissia is outgoing and chatty, cheerful and flirts with everyone; Jayce is soft spoken, thoughtful and almost painfully shy when not performing. Despite that, they’re clearly devoted to each other and work superbly together as acrobats, particularly on the trapeze.

A pair of half-fae twins, Lissia and Jayce had a difficult time fitting into either human or fae society. Constantly shunted from one world to another, they learnt to depend on each other and no one else. Whichever society they were in seemed to sense there was something different about them. After their human mother died they spent more time with the fey until they eventually left once and for all.

HOW DO THEY KNOW CELESTE? Celeste was one of the few of the elves who had time for the twins; when she decided to leave she encouraged them to come with her; being rather rootless they agreed and thanks to their natural agility quickly learnt some of her acrobatic skills, eventually switching to the trapeze and (sometimes) tightrope.

HOW DO THEY KNOW YOKO? When the young boy joined the company he reminded the twins of their own upbringing, and what it feels like when no one cares for you, so they both took a real shine to him and now consider him almost a little brother.
Is it possible to run more than one character (I have a pair of twins who would fit in fine as acrobats!)? If not, I'd like to create a fire-eater/mage.
I vote for Fae - please ignore my misspelling!
Did someone say the words 'fay' and 'circus'? You have my interest!

I think we really need one of the other free weres to do something here. Anyone? Anyone at all?
Louise's lips peeled back in something that was half-grin, half-snarl, exposing her sharper teeth; her mouth filled with hot liquid, as though she was expecting a delicious meal. She shrugged out of her jacket, the muscles twitching and rippling under her skin as her partial shift continued. She surged forward, moving instinctively to Tyra's left, protecting her Alpha's flank.

Her rush took the Beta by surprise, and her shoulder slammed into his chest, the force carrying them both on to slam the Beta hard into a table behind them. He howled as something broke inside his torso, either a rib or perhaps one of his vertebrae. She slammed two quick punches into his stomach and groin, bringing a knee up into his face when he bent in pain, catching him full in the nose. The beta was bigger than her, but she threw him onto the table and pounced on top of him. She grabbed hold of his head by his ears and slammed it back against the table hard a couple of times until he lay still; an unpleasant dark liquid was leaking from his skull when she released him.

The baseball cap flew off her head when she sprang back down to the ground, her eyes glowing amber. She cast a quick glance around the area, looking for her next target.
Question: when weres change from human to wolf, does their clothing change with them so when they change back they're still wearing it or does it get shredded in the change?

Also, do their bodies start to change in slight, subtle ways if they start to lose control - say, nails becoming more like a wolf's black claws, the teeth growing sharp (I always had this image of Louise's eyes turning to amber when she really started to lose her temper)?
Louise shifted her weight restlessly on the wooden bench. The meeting had been going on for hours now without getting anywhere. She understood about the traditions that demanded strangers on another pack’s territory must approach them and ask for permission to stay – hell, you couldn’t live in a small island like Britain without honouring the traditions on a regular basis – but this alpha’s delicate verbal dancing was rapidly going from boring to annoying. She dropped her gaze to the toe of her boot, digging it into the earth, releasing the faintest hint of the scent of cut grass as stalks broke under her foot, biting down on her irritation. She shifted again on the bench. My arse has gone to sleep, she thought. It didn't help.

She almost grinned with relief as Tyra finally got to ask a simple yes or no question and ducked her head so the shadow of the baseball cap she’d started wearing concealed her face. Louise had only joined Tyra’s pack ten days ago; the alpha’s no-nonsense attitude and fierce determination had impressed her (and she had to admit, after spending far too long alone in a strange land, having others that she could depend upon around her was a comfort; a lone wolf is an unhappy wolf, her father had always said).

And then - the other’s answer, given in silence and the craven stink of fear. Her grin turned into a grimace of disgust. More sheep in wolf’s clothing, she thought.

“Fucking dogs,” she muttered, almost loudly enough for the other pack to hear as she swung one leg over the bench she’d been straddling and stood up, rubbing her lower back. She wondered if they’d understand the insult – a wolf that was afraid of humans and ran to keep on their good side was a dog, a mutt. Her temper was rising, but Tyra was alpha, and when she gestured for them to leave Louise turned, shoving her hands in the pockets of her jacket.

And then, the fear thickened to something far more dangerous. Louise jerked back and saw the alpha’s hand clamped around Tyra’s arm. Oh man; you don’t do that, she thought. She shifted her weight into a fighting stance without thought, lifting her gaze to study the other pack’s members. Her lips twitched at the corners, wanting to instinctively peel away from teeth that felt larger and sharper in her mouth than they had a moment ago. If Tyra had to fight this craven alpha, Louise would follow her without hesitation.
@VictorianGirl11 Hey, I'd be interested in RPing the vampire/werewolf or possibly the vampire earl/human maid if no one else has contacted you about them yet; it's been a while since I had a decent bloodsucker RP!
