Accompanied by the stamp of her front foot and a strong kiai(shout), the Kendo club's ace delivered the final blow to her opponent's right torso, causing a grunt from the one it hit and signaling her win. Just as the shinai reached its destination, the familiar chime of the bell reverberated throughout the school. The redhead sighed from behind the protective head gear she wore to its sound, deciphering it as the start of summer break. She was glad they let the last hour of the semester be used for extra-curricular activities, though. The girl, Akane, then bowed to her sparring partner, who did the same.

"Alright, that's enough for now, everyone. Wrap this up and clean the place after this."

The sensei closed the training session with some words of parting and the kendokas bowing to him, before they dispersed to clean themselves and the dojo up.

After around an hour of cleaning and such, with her repeated checking if everything was in its place and cleaned, Akane found herself to be alone in the Kendo dojo with all the equipments and the key she was entrusted with to lock it up. She looked around the place, observing every detail, feeling its atmosphere formed by consistent training of fellow members... She was going to miss the place. A rare genuine smile formed in place of pursed lips to the thought.

Akane walked out, then bowed again to the dojo itself as a sign of respect, before sliding the doors close to lock it. Deciding to wander around the school for the last time, she left the locked dojo with the smile still on her face.

It wasn't surprising that she didn't see anyone in sight. Maybe there were still some, but they were probably at other areas of the school where she hadn't gone to. Most students had gone home early for the summer festival preparations. Right. The summer festival. She hadn't any plans for it, much less found someone to accompany her there with. Though she had many friends, she didn't have close ones.

Not too far off where she was, Akane finally spotted someone. Minase Hideaki, captain of the archery club. She wasn't acquainted with him, but had heard about him and his expertise in archery. The girl decided to approach him, being the friendly person she was.

"Senpai? You're still here? Don't you have to prepare for the festival? "

A Week Ago

Useless. That's what she'd been, and how she felt. Not participating in anything at all, not helping in anything, save for a few exceptions. Aria gave a light 'tch', scowling to the thought as she witnessed the closing of the battle. She was glad that she at least brought Nigel to safety, teleporting out with his head and body. Nonetheless, to whatever that would come next, she promised herself to work hard and exceed expectations. That would be the bare minimum for her to prove herself to her own, not to anyone else, though it may sound odd.

Currently

As she stood beside Ivory in front of the master, relief came flooding hearing his words, though her face remained expressionless. Her efforts to quickly finish up the job requests and such paid off it seemed, and as an added bonus she had nothing against herself anymore. The remaining days she had spent for solitary training in various locations, honing her skills.

"...Is that so..."
Was the only thing she replied the master with, disbelief a little evident in her tone. Her only concern had been fulfilling her internal promise, after all. Not that that had mattered to anyone else.

Aria turned her head to Ivory, looking to see her reaction.

Akane's fighting styles utilizes the use of a sword, usually her shinai. She relies on instincts, reflexes, her environment and split-second decisions to strike at her opponent. Keen and accurate eyesight also plays a role. As ace of the Kendo club, Akane is known to be strong and almost never loses.

However, if push comes to shove, she'd fight bare-handed with what knowledge she has.

A rather friendly girl, Akane is also quite tomboyish. She usually puts on a cheerful attitude complete with a trademark smirk. Her way of a smile. She's not brash, however, though she may seem so. Akane is also quite secretive, hiding actions or things though unneeded. Despite her rare kindness, she may hold grudges although she forgives easily. Hard-working, enthusiastic and athletic, Akane is able to do almost anything that interests her.
