Zoren is lanky and stands at a slightly above average height. His posture has been affected by his years of computer use, so he often appears shorter than he actually is. He wears rimless glasses and has dark grey eyes and messy wavey black hair. He typically wears oversized hoodies and baggy jeans. He doesn’t exercise and so doesn’t have much stamina or strength, though he is capable of focusing on minute tasks for hours at a time.

HISTORY
Zoren has always been intelligent, but really himself to his studies after his father died. His father had been a software engineer in their home country of the Philippines, where he met and married Zoren’s mother, who worked as an artisan in the markets. After moving to the United States before Zoren’s birth, his father was unable to find work in his field and took on a job as a janitor. He died in a car accident when Zoren was eleven.
Zoren’s mother worked as a maid and nanny to various families to support herself and her son after her husband's death. Wanting to provide a better life for his mother, Zoren felt the only way to do so was to pursue higher education to land himself a respectable job. Inspired by his father’s background, he began studying coding and computer programing from childhood and eventually was accepted into MIT.
Having to rely on scholarships and loans, Zoren realized quickly that it would be many years before he would be able to offer his mother the kind of life he believed she deserves. It was in the second semester of his freshman year that he began performing side jobs for extra cash. At first it was nothing terribly illegal, finding back doors into subscription programs to mine user information and data, for example. But as he continued to offer his services, which were always performed at high level with minimal detection and tracing, he began to be sought out for larger and riskier opportunities. Zoren eventually created his own website on the dark net for inquiries, where he was eventually scouted by Captain David Leonard Knight to join his crew aboard the Charles Henshaw. The possible payout the Captain offered for the job was enticing enough for Zoren to leave his academic career behind. Deciding he could earn a sufficient living with his website should he need to fall back on it, he joined the crew while keeping up the act that he is still at university for his mother’s sake.
PERSONALITY
Zoren is quiet and intelligent, not only academically but also emotionally, and has a disarming charm about him. He is sarcastic and friendly, though more often than not prefers to observe from afar rather than be in the center of the action. He takes calculated risks and isn’t held back by very strict morals, though he prefers not to cause any direct harm to anyone. Zoren is curious and inquisitive but doesn’t always voice his opinions.

I'd like one of my characters to be a tech specialist for the crew, a younger, behind the scenes kind of guy. Bonus points if I get to do the cliché, "I'm in" line if he has to hack into anything LOL

Rowan Stone
FULL NAME
Rowan Kathryn Stone
AGE
18
HEIGHT

WEIGHT
145 lbs
HISTORY
Rowan hails from a little known island nestled along the outer banks of the Glenneau archipelago, Glintshire, boasting little more than farm lands and open prairies. Her father, Amsden Bolton, a farmer, fell in love with Rowan's mother, Kathryn Stone, a Knight of Auglire, after a daring rescue from a horde of Goblins that had invaded his lands. Upon Rowan's conception, Kathryn took some time away from her services to conceive of their offspring. During this time, a strange malady took hold of the farmlands. What little managed to grow from the hardened fields predominantly became infected by an unknown disease rendering the bulk of Amsden's harvest unprofitable. Financial ruin soon followed, requiring Kathryn to return to her duties as Knight far earlier than anticipated so the budding family could afford to survive.
A proud man, Amsden continued tending to his fields, attempting various countermeasures to remedy the lands. As an infant and toddler, Rowan watched as her father toiled in the darkened pastures, toiling feverishly to achieve his ends. At night, he would tell glorious tales of her mother's achievements in battles, though her favorite was that of her father's rescue from the goblins.
Rowan was but a child of six years when they received the terrible news of her mother's demise. Felled in battle alongside her Griffon companion, Alouise. The loss of Kathryn broke her father, who finally abandoned his efforts to repair his land. With little to sustain them, Amsden had little choice to offer his daughter a better life. Conflicted about his ultimate decision due to Kathryn's death, he delivered Rowan to Auglire to be trained as a page.
Her mother's high reputation preceded her, and many Knights offered to sponsor her as their squire. In the end, her mother's companion, Garrick Calhoun, for whom she squired until becoming a Knight in her own right.
PERSONALITY
Rowan is daring and brave, adoring the thrill of adventure. With those whom she is closest to (principally, her friend Nessa) she is kind and generous, but has difficulty getting along with and befriending many due to her stubborn and bossy nature. She tends to overestimate herself and her abilities, but is a strong and capable warrior. Though generally kind hearted, during battle she has a vicious nature, reveling in overtaking her adversaries. This blood-thirst worries her, though isn't something she has felt comfortable disclosing. Fueled by the responsibility of carrying her mother's name, she is proud to be a Knight of Auglire, and honor bound to their moral code. She is often found in the library, researching past conquests and achievements, if not alongside her childhood friend Nessa and their griffons in the air.

HISTORY
Ambrosius was a fledgling of Kathryn's companion, Alouise. A few years after his birth, Kathryn, with Alouise's permission, introduced the chick to Rowan as a toddler. The meeting was clandestine due to its going against the Knight's traditions, but had made a significant impact on both the child and the young griffon such that when it came time for Rowan to be paired, the two were instinctually drawn to each other.
Varzog
FULL NAME
Varzog
AGE
22
HEIGHT
6'2''
WEIGHT
222 lbs
HISTORY
Varzog was subjected to a tumultuous childhood after being born into an Orc clan as son to Chieftain Xorag Ulam. His mother, Nargol, was captured and enslaved by raiders during a conflict with a neighboring human settlement during which time she was sexually assaulted. Being the wife of the Chieftain, the clan responded to this with a devastating counter attack that succeeded in eradicating their human neighbors. It became apparent that Nargol was pregnant a few months after her rescue. Unsure whether the child she carried was heir to the Chief or a half-breed human bastard, she decided to come to term and give birth, though unfortunately perished during labor.
As an infant, his heritage was indistinguishable from other full-blooded orc children. This did not prevent suspicion and accusations of his lineage from the members of his clan however, which was only fueled by the Chieftain's resentment toward him due to Nargol's death. His relationship with his father was strained and distant throughout his childhood, and he was unable to form significant or sincere bonds with any of his clan-mates due to the stigma he carried. He was generally well cared for however, albeit mostly neglected.
During puberty, it became apparent that his features were significantly different than his full-fledged peers. His stature is much smaller than that of a pure-blood orc, standing a few inches shorter than the shortest females among his clan, his muscles aren't as robust, his face is fairer, and his overall features are less brutish than the typical orc. By the age of 14, he was at least a full head shorter than his peers and consistently failed to best any of them in physical activities. It was at this point that his father officially disowned Varzog, the already frayed relationship devolved into tatters and the only reason he maintained his life was due to his mother's blood coursing through his veins. Falling to the lowest possible rung of the strict hierarchical society, he suffered terrible bigotry, intolerance, and abject hatred from clan-mates who had previously avoided and simply disregarded him.
Varzog withstood the abuse for two years before deciding to take his leave from the clan and wander the wilds on his own at 16. Having achieved a sufficient skill in swordplay during his years training with the clan aided minimally in his survival, particularly in hunting prey for nourishment. Varzog has spent the past six years roaming the wilds in solitude, avoiding everyone and mastering archery.
PERSONALITY
Compared to full-blooded orcs, Varzog is much more docile. While rough and rugged, he would never be associated with the description of cruel and bloody. He enjoys the peace that accompanies the solitude of his nomadic lifestyle. Being on his own has allowed him to cultivate his unique outlook, straddling the line between human and orc, and he feels much more comfortable in his own skin. He does not intentionally interact with others and when forced to is reserved, distant, and cautious. Varzog is however empathetic, and capable of forming bonds with others when necessary, though such a need has not arisen.

Siona
FULL NAME
Siona
AGE
21
HEIGHT
5'11''
WEIGHT
130 lbs
HISTORY
Siona was discovered as an infant in a basket on the steps of the Sun Temple and subsequently raised as an elven monk, following the edicts of the Sun Warriors. Life in the temple was a secluded one, isolated from other elves, interaction with others of her kind (aside from her monk peers, some of which had taken vows of silence) was attained only through history lessons and written journals that had been guarded and maintained for hundreds of years. As a Warrior Monk, Siona was taught magic, though she never excelled at it, hand-to-hand combat, and weaponry use, of which she preferred and mastered the art of the spear. Predominant in her studies however, was elven history and culture, of which the monks were sworn to protect and honor.
The vast majority of the monks in the temple selected to serve as Warrior Monks and were happy with the quiet isolation the lifestyle offered. Siona, however, grew to resent this life which had been chosen for her. She learned to briefly escape her reality by delving into elven literature and history, with which she became captivated. As she neared her coming of age, she made the difficult decision to speak with the Elders and requested to be relieved of her duties.
Unhappy with her decision, they nonetheless accepted her judgement, not wanting to keep any elf hostage in their temple. Siona was told that on her twenty first year, she would be escorted off the island, though she would be free to return as a friend and visitor. She has been sworn to withhold the secrets of the Sun Temple as long as she lives, and is bound by a strict oath she made to the Elders.
PERSONALITY
Siona is intelligent and reserved. While more outspoken and boisterous than her fellow monks, her upbringing has had its effect on her personality. As such, she is disciplined, conscientious (often meticulous and precise not only in her action but language), and compassionate, though she has a difficult time empathizing with others. She requires little in the way of accommodations and material possessions, and values information above all else. She is a voracious reader and is among the most knowledgeable of Elven history, of which she is proud. Due to her training, Siona is capable of both photographic and echoic memory. She has few belongings, but always carries a shawl on her person, the very same one in which she was found wrapped as an infant after being abandoned at the Temple of the Sun.
